Every time I see a random piece go down in a spot fae away from the rest of the line I'm just shouting "YOU FOOL" and then later does an amazing combo. This is amazing
so the colors actually matter in this version, unlike real Tetris. I suppose with sand just filling voids, it would be too easy the other way. but it does painfully remind me of younger days, when I thought normal tetris worked like that and was thus the most difficult game in the universe.
Needs a unique hold mechanic, like the ability to place a piece into a funnel. Only the sand that has gone through the funnel into the holding area can be recovered. The gimmick is that the sand in the holding area is mixed as time goes by. So don’t fill it with too many different colors.
If it was possible to implement, it would be fun if you get extra points from how far at the Y axis the left end is from the right edge, Or maybe wavier the line the more points you get.
I believe it wouldnt be that hard to implement considering the game already checks if the pixels of the same colour can be used to get from one side to the other so just adding a variable that also checks tge Y level and gives extra points based on that is not too far fetched
the fact that the timer on the game is slightly fucked is really weird to me, like the first game started at 0:05 and ended at 4:50, but the game timer says it lasted 4:11. How, exactly, does that happen?

@@SailinEast Again, most engines come with physics engines. Just make it so that the Tetrominos dissolve upon collision, and all the particles are affected by gravity.
The only thing that bugs me is the loud "THUMP!" when the blocks hit. It's too loud for something that turns into sand. It should be a softer "thump" that trails off into a sandy "chshsh."
Ok, having watched it, it vaguely makes sense, but I get the feeling if I tried playing this I would fail hard. To be fair, it would make a fair Canon "Tetris 3".
@@bobbackward6461 match 3 of a colour to clear that colour section. Clear multiple colours within a certain time to multiply points gained. It seems like winning is actually easy, but building up enough lines sections for a multiplier is difficult. Especially with the limited colours.
