I've never tried. IIRC, the app sends just a number, so if the scale is set to grams, it will operate in grams. But the app only allows one decimal place, so you'd lose a lot of precision trying to run in grams.
Going 0.1 vs 0.2 is a much larger weight change than what I'm testing. I'm testing 0.01 increments in this video. That said, 39.2 vs 39.1 is a fairly small difference, and you'd probably only notice the difference for a very accurate bench rifle.
Curious: can you run the scale and app in grams, instead of grains? 0.001 grams is 0.0154 grains.

I actually had a typo. My powder charge is 39.2 and I am going to go to 39.19. I shoot long distance, competition bench, rest.
Based on this test, I would just leave it at 39.2. I couldn't tell that it really made any difference.
