    Nice boat! Almost time to replace our dinghy, I've been looking at Stryker boats, they seem pretty nice.
    Great video, thanks for all the info!

      Ya I am super impressed and Jared the owner is awesome and creates so much good content on youtube to help us purchase the right boat and motor the first time! If you need an intro let me know.

      thanks, it says 10, the other night we had 4 kids and 3 adults and it was no problem. But when you load it with crab and prawn traps, campng gear etc the space goes down, this is a big boat for our family but I am so glad I got this size!!

    A 15 hp can easily go up a medium sized rapids with shallow drive on with 500 pounds of weight (total weight) no problem. A 20 is gonna be perfect for your needs.

    From one Dave from Squamish to another your videos certainly have helped a ton! Just purchased my own 420 pro today. Can't wait to take it out this weekend. I'm running a 30hp propped motor but like yourself have interests in rivers. How has the propped with a river runner help up in the shallow rivers?
    Cheers,

      @DaveNorona  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly I dont use it in rivers but the prop guard works awesome when we go close to shore to drop off etc. I would always run this on the boat, the jet is sweet but less power and it drifts too much for being efficient on the ocean, happy boating

    I am curious about how well it tows behind the boat. If I understood you correctly that is part of the plan. I was looking for something to possibly tow behind my boat or deflate and haul where I wanted to use it and reinflate.

    • @DaveNorona
      @DaveNorona  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just towed it 280 nautical miles from squamish through desolation and down through the island back home over 6 weeks. tows super easy. I towed a sea doo last season, this is lighter, bigger and we put a foil and prawn traps and extra gas in it while it is being towed, works awesome!

    • @DaveNorona

    Not sure if I should get 380 Pro or 420 Pro. 380 Pro should be more maneuvurable... lively.

      go bigger.I've got the 380 and love it but throw some rods and 2 kids or a buddy in it and you'll be happier on the 420

    Why stryker? These boats are heavy and are slower in comparison to other inflatables.

    • @DaveNorona
      @DaveNorona  ปีที่แล้ว

      Durability matters out here on the west coast and when I looked at everything, nothing beat it and now after a full summer with it over 100 hours, would not change it for anything.

    I have the same boat. Everything was thrown in the box and shipped poorly. The accessories are single stitched and ripped right away. My boat formed a hole on the third trip and it never was beached. I have a patch drying. now. The forward deck board is wood and it’s cheap. The transom is bent, I have a 25hp mercury. Extremely unhappy with the 11k I spent on motor and boat. I do not recommend Stryker. I recommend aluminum boat, holds up way better.

      @awaw7133 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Chillfam I had to find the hole and patch it. Since I live in the US, boat was shipped from Canada, dealing with sending things back and forth is a major pain and waiting. The stitches accessory are single stitches garbage from China.

    • @DaveNorona

      Sounds like you are hard on things, beach a boat on something sharp you may get a tear, that is not arranty as holes just dont happen, mine has the newer plastic/composite deck board so it is improved, not sure how you bend a 1 inch aluminum transom, unless shipping did that or you used it improperly. If you looking to beach a boat and hammer things on it yes an aluminum boat might be better for your use. I just spend 50 hours in the boat through desolation sound using it every day off our cabin cruiser, we used it for surf towing, prawning and cruising into shore, looks brand new and the bags on the front and sides are made in asia simple bags, I used them every day and are in perfect working order. My boat was in salt water for 45 days towed behind our boat, sitting and was covered with salt, i was it with warm soapy water and sprayed it with 303 and it looks brand new, one issue i had was the bimani clips had salt corrosion and were hard to open, a simple reel grease when i cleaned her up and working perfect...sorry you are not happy with yours.

    If you like to tow a trailer, why not buy an aluminum boat? Larger space, easy to install equipments, better performance, and longer lifespan!😇😊

    • @DaveNorona
      @DaveNorona  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      we tow this behind our cabin cruiser all summer in desolation sound and also we use this around squamish for doing so many different things, with cost and ease of use this Stryker checks almost every box, there is no perfect boat but for us this is close as it gets

      Cool!By the way,What is the maximum speed of your 420 boat with a 20 horsepower motor? Can a 20 horsepower motor make your 420 boat planing ?Is the power sufficient for such a large ship ?👍👍👍@@DaveNorona
