Hey Carol! Great to hear from you and hope you’re doing well. The knees definitely on the mend now thankfully! Looking forward to lots of BC adventures this summer! Have you got any exciting trips planned?
@@cedarcabinsociety , so happy to hear that Chris. I have a couple of weeks off in July so I’m thinking of going to the island to adventure around. Enjoy your adventures over the summer , I look forward to watching your videos on them.
Great to see a video posted Chris, it's been a bit. Beautiful location looks like Murphy had a blast. Any big trips planned this summer? Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Chris! Appreciate you watching as always. It took a little longer than I expected to bounce back from knee surgery but we’re back in business now! Murphy can’t get enough of camping trips, so I’m very thankful for that. We do indeed have some big trips planned for this summer. I can’t give too much away just yet but we’ll be spending a lot of time on the North and West coasts of Vancouver Island. Definitely some of the more remote areas we’ve ever been, so can’t wait to get stuck into that!
@cedarcabinsociety I plan on exploring a little bit of Vancouver Island as well this summer. Have some awesome adventures and a safe summer. Looking forward to seeing your trips.
Which model Stryker do you have and size? I had the pro 420 with the new 30hp mercury. It was almost too fast with only two people on board but was awesome having the power when I went on a couple day trip with 3 guys on board and fully loaded with gear. I really liked the boat but decided wasn’t going to fold it up so I bought a 4.6 metre Highfield rib.
Thanks for watching! I have a Stryker LX420 and it’s 14ft in length. I had a 6HP merc on it in this video but I’ve since upgraded to a 20HP electric start. It’s a rocket ship with a 20 on it, so a 30 must have been real fun to rip around in. I know exactly what you mean about folding it up. 😅 The highfields are a really great bit kit too. I’d love to try one of them at some point.
What happened with the Sea Eagle Paddle Ski?...Did U not like it? & if U like the Stryker better, can U tell us why? Thanks, as I'm currently shopping for an Inflatable Kayak...😊
Hey - thanks for watching! I really love my paddleski as a solo boat for calm waters/lakes, as I think this is where it performs at its best. Unfortunately, since I purchased it, my needs have changed a lot and I now need more space to bring my dog, gf and gear along on adventures. I also like to salmon fish locally using heavier down-riggers that the paddleski can’t support, so having a more stable and rugged boat that handles ocean swell better gives me more peace of mind. Regarding the paddling experience, it’s doable for short distances (
Great to see that your surgery was a success . You seem to be moving around quite well. Epic drone footage , absolutely beautiful scenery.

Would this 420 have been large enough for two people and camping gear?
Yes it’s perfect for 2 people + a dog + camping gear. Take a look at some of our most recent videos to see that in action.
