I’m trying to erase these memories, and keep thinking when theyre gone I might be able to properly enjoy these songs again. To me it seems like the guy can't cope with life because the love of his life broke up with him. Which could be the reason of the pills and lack of sleep, then the pulling of the tooth meaning that no pain can match the pain he's already felt. There are a lot of symbolism in the song. Very well made. I saw these guys live in Mobile at the Coheed Concert. Amazing band.
The meaning is the thoughts about a guy who wants to enjoy the single life, the freedom, but suddenly he finds a girl that makes him think about a serious commitment. "Maybe I'm afraid of love, but you can be just enough"
It's not that I didn't like the song but the video was rather weird. I am used to seeing the band in it (like in Dancing on a tightrope). Maybe ITM should get some more ideas from Fall out Boy who do an insane job at making themselves the stars of their songs :)
