Some tips (check air race for credibility): don’t put the hinges on two sides, it makes it slower with no difference to stability, second: the more hinges you have in a row increases your speed to a certain point until it starts to make you accelerate a lot slower and changes the physics for the tail fins. Third, tail fins with stabilise roll facing upwards mostly increase speed and tail fins on their side makes it slower, fourth, controllability (from my experience) can be mostly controlled up to around 1800 kph. Fifth, how far the tail fins are away from the hinges makes a MASSIVE difference to speed
Definitely longer video than usual and more complicated, but you explained it so well you made it look simple 😂 P.s. phalangies isnt a stupid name, i actually find it pretty cool haha
Ah now I understand why I'm mysteriously at 23rd place in the bionic league in the air race, despite my ca. 230 km/h "flappy plane" is not really glitch based (it's pretty absurd, but it makes physically sense if you had infinite strength servos and materials); because all the glitch based ones are too fast and twitchy to be controllable. And I'm a terrible pilot too; so if I navigated better I could probably reduce my time with at least 25%. But I have no idea how the top places managed to hit ten flaming rings (or however many there are) in less than 2 seconds though, that must be tool assisted if it's not outright a hack.
niceeee, lov that tuto man. keep bringing your creations here, its so good to look from a pro's perspective, i struggle so much to build in this game and your builds made me get some good results.
I used to mess with pistons and steering hinges and get my creation destroyed and supersonic my seat up. I didn’t know it would be used like that. And I’m loving all these informative new vids from storm that 30 mins vid felt like 5 mins. Keep it up ❤
I was watching the stream you mentioned this in and I figured out the squeeze the air and I got it working it . Thank you it is what is on some of my best dog fighters
Thank you for informative explanation man! And once again great video👌right now any contribution for community equals playable content and that definitely deserves praises. You may have not invented the glitch, but the tutorial and technique is Strom 100 😁 wish you luck and looking forward with what you'll come up next!
After seeing you're drill in the hovercraft battle, it made think of a challenge for you if you don't mind. A rail drill. A railgun, that projects a drill.
I've been waiting for this " how to" thanks for showing how you build them. I usually use the horizontal axis split but I can see how this version would be more stable, I reverse engineered a build from +Sebastion to make my splitter-engine flyer, mine tops out at about 1500MPH. I have put it on the Steam workshop "Silence" and a few different versions of the same build. Very educational Video. Keep up the good work and keep these videos coming!
Storm I found out you can use pistons to pull out the hingeds it gives the same effect and it is always is perfect every time I I'm on console so some things act different than pc do
Hi! I loved the video it helped me finnaly beat the trailmakers airborne campaign without any turning or propulsion systems! So yes, only power cores were guns! Maybe you should do something similar
Oh this tutorial will help with the one that I made with a different tutorial thank you. Because I managed to break the sound barrier with mine but it is super inconsistent with the direction it goes.
I made a hinge glitch plane which is mostly consistent and reaches over 3000 kph almost instantaneously, i will be posting a showcase on my yt sometime in the next week if your interested in it.
I did have it stolen a while back ☹️. But if your talking about the first one the design is very similar to the original version. All three that I showed have been stolen from me tho 🥲
There’s a build on the workshop of a perfectly stabilized version of this, with no logic. I have it saved under a different name but I can look it up. Some unsung hero out there has perfected it. I have a copy.
@@ProjectSTORM-qb4cn willing to drop it for you to inspect. I’m on steam. Appreciate the content. Started playing a few months, and videos like yours and nano dude offered the value I needed to get me up to speed. Thanks man.
hay storm i have been working on some .. THING and i have not been able to get the orbit glitch to work and can not find it ? could you make a video of it please ?
hey so i am fairly new to trailmakers but i had some questions if there is a trade off between speed and consistency then why not take an idea from the f111 and have adjustable distances or would they just be overwritten by the engine
A UFO engine would just add more instability but I believe you could use hoverpads facing eachother and/or helicopter engines spinning at max speed in opposite directions to camcel out some of the small jiggles
I found a weird glitch where I put a hinge for pitch on the flanges it didn't work don't judge me but it changed my speed from 500 to 1200 without zero drag
Nope different orientation and torque as well as stability. If you try and use the hinge glitch you’ll notice that this new engine subtype fixes most of its downsides while sacrificing speed. Also my teacher is the creator of hinge glitch who also has a yt channel. It’s cleared by him and his name is Nanodude05 🙃

as a bonus, if you are doing a restricted number of power cores, this is a bionic engine, so you can use all of those power cores on weapons
Exactly why it’s my favorite
Ohh yah
Damn, these kind of tutorials are real new in trailmakers, keep up the great work!
Yes sir 🫡

It'd be fun to learn more about the "Goblin Drill" ya dominated with in the Hover Demolition Derby.

Storm bro could you do a vid on hinge armor I’m so confused with it 😂 keep up the great work ❤
Storm, this is the best Video you have ever made, I love your channel, especially considering your a pro, you show us how to do stuff easier
Glad you enjoyed!
Great tutorial! I'm working on a jet with as many different types of glitched propulsion and will be adding this on.
Awesome stuff 🤣
its looking really dumb ngl
Love your work and keep it up storm!
I sure will try!

@ProjectSTORM-qb4cn thanks!
The gyro stabilisers make it a whole lot easier

do a vid on the helicopter stabilisation bit
Hi! I loved the video it helped me finnaly beat the trailmakers airborne campaign without any turning or propulsion systems! So yes, only power cores were guns! Maybe you should do something similar
This is a great idea
Love the high tech builds! Is this the best type of engine to propel especially heavy\large builds?
It’s debatable, but at a high skill level bio props beat all 😊

the "most beautiful sound in the game" all i hear is music
Lol that’s my b
You could use the spin for a bonic helicoptor or twin engine plane
A very abstract and unruly type of stabilization but I’ll try 😅
Yo Storm would you like to maybe do some WWII dogfights sometime soon?
I knew a guy (x_p_3) that got the same craft
I mean exacly the same so did you put it on the workshop?

I lied. It uses logic.

Great Video! I was so curious how you build the 1k special Alien
ooooh more broken trailmakers physics to troll my friends with

ah yes, i also go mach 1 when trying to turn my insides out
More great music choice!!!
Can I have your Clash Royale friendlink?
Well i have my next project. Big organic spaceship. Maybe a leviathan from marvel?
This isn’t new someone online showed how to this and it broke sound barrier so quick. This was a 3 months ago.
If you made 4 engines al facing another directon (up then left then down then right) shouldn’t it fly perfectly
If you wanted us to hear you gotta turn off the background music in that portion. Thanks for the info on the new engine style.
wassup brotha love too see all the channel growth! wanna do another challenge again soon?

You just cracked a cool lil code. Yes this works perfectly. It’s just extremely complicated ⛈️
