i am so so excited for youu~!!! cannot wait for more seattle content :') love the shout out about mutual aid and being involved in the communities that we move into
Hi! Helpful to see the apartments you viewed, now that time has passed would you be open to sharing the specific apartments if you still have them written down somewhere? 🙏🏼
It was fun watching and trying to guess what neighborhoods each of the apartments were in, I’ve seen too many units too similar. Welcome to the city! don’t forget to spend time in the south end, a lot of cool monthly pop up and flea markets to check out.
Enjoy Seattle! I remember your video some years ago about visiting Seattle and loving it. Happy that you live there now and can enjoy the city I grew up near :)
I guessed right! Also re:existential crisis upon moving to a new city, I moved to Oakland 4 years ago and legit got so sick (panic attacks, double ear infections) that my mom, who just flew home from helping me move, had to fly back to take care of me. The transition is no joke! Hope you’re doing alright and excited to see what you get up to in Seattle
Ooh I would pick 2. So much charm, and for living alone the tall ceilings will really make your space feel more open. You could use decorative carpets on the walls and floor to deaden sound. The only thing I balk at is the price for that one
Omg I guessed correctly for both the SF and Seattle apartments!! Congrats on your new place :) (also not me trying to look at the colors of the walls to look for any clues lol) and I knew it wasn't 2 because your audio wasn't echo-y. I feel like 3 was the best fit for you I could tell when you were explaining each one
6:43 I appreciate that you acknowledged we both have a limited understanding of your life but also what feels like a lot haha- I'm curious to see how we do with guessing what you chose!
Didn't post my guess but I got it right and wasn't surprised at all. Seemed for sure the best option the way you talked about it! Hope you enjoy it there
Always fun to get a peek at a non-natives view of Seattle. As a first time viewer, I have no idea why you're moving here & I'm curious. I will say, light is definitely a priority here & floors can be quite cold here, with our 9 months of gloomy, wet & les than balmy weather so carpets can be a blessing, if less than pleasing to the eye & lacking character. Welcome to Seattle! I hope you enjoyed all the snow we've had already this winter.
(I know this was filmed a while ago) but I would really appreciate it if you said what neighborhood each of these were in! Seattle has soooo many neighborhoods and they are all so different from eachother, so this would have been a good opportunity to plug that
Just came across your videos, as I am also moving from SF to Seattle this month, and dying that I also viewed these units (virtually though). You picked a great neighborhood!
Congratulations on your move to Seattle! Having just moved into my own apartment myself, this video was so fascinating! Wishing you all the best in this new stage of your life!
I’ve rewatched this so many times! Would you be willing to share the apartment complexes for the apartments you didn’t choose? I’ve started looking for apartments in the area, and I’m so overwhelmed.
You stated that you did not like the landlord tenant thing, but you want to rent a place? Then in your world who would you rent from? If the government owned it, it would still be landlord tenant. So I'm confused as to how you would like it to be.
ha my last apartment renewal went from $1650 a month to $2200 a month. I moved out of Seattle. I share a house currently but will be on the look for a new place in March, may leave this area all together. Being priced out as a single person with one medium income... brutal.
It's sad but this is happening all over the city. So many transplants flooding the city and driving the prices up making it difficult for people who have lived here forever
I know space number #2. I went on a couple dates with a woman who lived in it, It's wild what is under the it... And we would go to the Irish bar (leaving the name out to prevent this) and each order a pitcher of beer and walk out the side door taking them to her place
Love this video! You mentioned your dislike for the “landlord/tenant” relationship. I would love to hear your solution!!! Have you shared this is a past video? I’m new here. Would you purpose “government housing”? I’m wide open to your ideas…as it is a big “problem” apparently
I got my first apartment in 2020 and my rent was only $400, and even affording that was a struggle at the time tbh. So the reality that I will be living alone paying $1,500 MINIMUM for a small studio is insanely discouraging. I want to move to Seattle and be in the heart of the city, but I think I need a reality check LOL
I’m guessing place number 3. Getting a good vibe from the landlord is way more important than carpets. And a large enough bedroom! Alright, now to see which one 🤞
Came here because one of the buildings in the thumbnail looked familiar, but I don't think we saw the external shots in the rest of the video? Tbh I skipped through in 10 sec increments... But if it's an old brick building off Ravenna, there's a good chance the apartment is available because the tenant died. Could be a totally different place, though! The specific place I'm thinking of is a gorgeous building, though, and very walkable to Ravenna park, the U-District, etc. I work part time as a house cleaner and was going to clean for the person, but couldn't reach them. Their neighbor saw me waiting in the garden out front and informed me why I couldn't reach the client. 😢 I mean, it's an inevitable downside of living, and it's gonna happen wherever it happens, just wild to KNOW that's the reason for a vacancy, vs someone moving to the burbs or whatever.
I knew it was 3 lmfao. I'm apartment hunting myself and I wanted 100% hardwood floors but in terms of priorities that's something that's worth a compromise (but only in the bedroom for me I work in the medical field and I couldn't handle having carpet through my whole house). Anyways I knew location and price would override hardwood floors
I’ve been looking in Seattle with a budget of 2k (for two people sharing a one bedroom) but I can only find ones that cost 2400 and up? And are like 600 or less square feet? I have a cat, maybe that is narrowing the search for me, idk
I am laughing out loud that I came across your video: my husband and I moved to Seattle a month and a half ago and our priorities and budget with an apartment were exactly the same as yours ahahha (but we had very specific neighborhoods in mind). We ended up applying for an apartment without even touring because we needed to move asap, and turned out to be the perfect apartment, we love it so so much
i feel like ur gonna choose 3 but also damn i need to check out other neighborhoods here bc i am paying 1800+ for my 1br and i feel like #5 was way bigger than my place omg
I feel like she chose place 3. It had good lighting and a good neighborhood. But thats just my guess before the reveal.
I was right!!
A Monica Church collab would have been perfect for this!
i am so so excited for youu~!!! cannot wait for more seattle content :')
love the shout out about mutual aid and being involved in the communities that we move into
thank you 🥲🥲🥲

yesssss so excited for you!! 💞💞
cannot wait for u to visit this PLACE!!!!
You're friends with THE Tiffanyferg?? That's so cool
Seattle is *by far* my dream living area, so this series is going to be a LIFESAVER for me. Stay safe out there, hoping for the best, love! 💕

Yesss! I was just looking at your channel for a Seattle update this morning, thank you for this gem 🤌
YEEHAW to good timing ☺️
Enjoy Seattle! I remember your video some years ago about visiting Seattle and loving it. Happy that you live there now and can enjoy the city I grew up near :)
omg you really have been around because i have been dropping hints for years!
I guessed right! OKKKKK #1 SUBSCRIBER ALERTTT
I’m guessing the cheapest one with carpet that’s in the best location. However I absolutely loved the second one and kinda hope you pick that one! :)
Hope you enjoy it there
so excited for the moving content and seeing you integrate your cozy style in the new place! congrats girly
Good luck for your new place! Loved watching this video!
so excited for you in this new chapter !! also freaking love the apartment. ur glowing
Yay me on the good guess! Looking to move next year in Spring and this was good input from you.
I just began following. I enjoy your viewpoint as it helps me see life from a different perspective. Wishing you well in Seattle.
It's nice that you have choices. Where I live (Ireland) property is so limited, you have to take what you can get

I was surprised! My good friend lives in Seattle and loves it. Enjoy!
(I know this was filmed a while ago) but I would really appreciate it if you said what neighborhood each of these were in! Seattle has soooo many neighborhoods and they are all so different from eachother, so this would have been a good opportunity to plug that
Welcome to Seattle 🥰 enjoy the last few days of sun while they last
oh i am.... 🙃
Congrats on finding a place! I felt like I was watching house hunters LOL. I would've guessed #2, but I think you made the smart decision!
i loved this! it was like watching house hunters except you actually made the choice i expected!
I loooved the guessing format hahaha 🥰💫 (and I guessed right so you didn't denigrate it so much in the end 😂😂)
what is "Seattle pilled"? Lived there 20 years, never heard the term.
Just moved myself, but to the burbs. Must say moving, specifically the logistics of moving, sucks. I’m excited to see what you decide on.
Where are your rings from? Also, welcome to SEATTLE ahhhh so excited that you are finally here.
dea dia & ana luisa!!
Just came across your videos, as I am also moving from SF to Seattle this month, and dying that I also viewed these units (virtually though). You picked a great neighborhood!
This was an apartment tour video yes, but the spectacle was just *chef's kiss*
I'm living my Seattle dream through you ❤️ love this content!
:'))
Was the place you chose cat friendly?
does your salary change when you move?
I actually guessed correctly. If location is important, carpet can be forgiven 😂
If you want to buy, or rent, it's just NUTS! Good luck on your search girl!!!!
Moving to Seattle for work. Airport. Any recommendations for apartments? Need help fast. Thank you
Congratulations on your move to Seattle! Having just moved into my own apartment myself, this video was so fascinating! Wishing you all the best in this new stage of your life!
when i saw the thumbnail i thought for a moment this video was by Monica Church and i was confused
Hahaha lighting… it’s definitely just dark all the time for at least 2/3 of the year
I’ve rewatched this so many times! Would you be willing to share the apartment complexes for the apartments you didn’t choose? I’ve started looking for apartments in the area, and I’m so overwhelmed.

Love SW seattle except for bridge being out. 2bdrm front house with huge yard
Could you write what was the location of the five apartments? Just their neighbourhood.
ha my last apartment renewal went from $1650 a month to $2200 a month. I moved out of Seattle. I share a house currently but will be on the look for a new place in March, may leave this area all together. Being priced out as a single person with one medium income... brutal.

guessing apartment #3 !! you seem so happy talking about it hehe
I know space number #2. I went on a couple dates with a woman who lived in it, It's wild what is under the it... And we would go to the Irish bar (leaving the name out to prevent this) and each order a pitcher of beer and walk out the side door taking them to her place
16 seconds ago? Nice! Excited to watch the video ☺️

aw i like the two you picked at the end, the one you're in now is lovely! happy you found a space that's good for you and that you're settling in!
I guess number 3. It's got the location after all which you say is most important.
called it
I got my first apartment in 2020 and my rent was only $400, and even affording that was a struggle at the time tbh. the carpeted one... ayeeee
I’m guessing place number 3. Getting a good vibe from the landlord is way more important than carpets. And a large enough bedroom! Alright, now to see which one 🤞

i knew you’d pick that one! i think it’s the best decision out of all of them but they all seemed good!
This one was a tough one, I'm guessing apt 3 (because of the location) or 4 (office space, functional for your lifestyle)
I knew it was 3 lmfao. I'm apartment hunting myself and I wanted 100% hardwood floors but in terms of priorities that's something that's worth a compromise (but only in the bedroom for me I work in the medical field and I couldn't handle having carpet through my whole house). Wahaha I like you already! Subscribed!
Yayyyy! Taking a trip to Seattle at the end of the month- any suggestions for things I must do or see?
Congrats!🎉 I'm so excited to see your Seattle era 💚💙
I think the 3rd one
I'm going to guess apartment #3! Maybe that's because I don't have a problem with carpet so that would be my pick haha
I’ve been looking in Seattle with a budget of 2k (for two people sharing a one bedroom) but I can only find ones that cost 2400 and up? And are like 600 or less square feet? I have a cat, maybe that is narrowing the search for me, idk
I have a two bedroom in the phinney/Greenwood area for 1700 and I have two cats
Number 3!! If not then 5
I think you choose apartment two or four. I hope you are enjoying Seattle!
Looks like Ballard or Capitol Hill. I lived near the Ballard library for 4 years and loved it there. I still miss the neighborhood...
Place 1 or 3
My guess is #3!
I definitely recommend a cat from an adoption place ❤️❤️ I got one and they’re so cuddly and nice
you look so happy!
I am laughing out loud that I came across your video: my husband and I moved to Seattle a month and a half ago and our priorities and budget with an apartment were exactly the same as yours ahahha (but we had very specific neighborhoods in mind). Ah my priorities and budget are the same! Do you mind sharing what neighborhood you ended up in?
@@valentinasaavedra7246 eastlake, but we also saw one we really liked in Wallingford (but someone applied before us)
I realllyyyy wish you got #2 but i think you got the $1345 one!
Omg i hit it on the head hahaha
My guess is that you chose the 3rd apt. Now let me scroll back up to finish the rest of the video lol.
Also think a collab with Monica Church is very much needed!!!
Welcome to Seattle!!! You're gonna love living here! 🤗
I'm betting it was place #3. I hope you enjoy Seattle!
i feel like ur gonna choose 3 but also damn i need to check out other neighborhoods here bc i am paying 1800+ for my 1br and i feel like #5 was way bigger than my place omg
PLACE 3!!!! Final answer.
Welcome Katherine! I’m in upper Queen Anne if you ever need a friend!
My guess is place 3 because of the location! Currently looking for jobs in Seattle 🤞
I guessed right! Your voice changed when you were describing it!
bay area def rotted my brain too bc i pay $1300 for a studio in Vancouver, BC and i thought it was scam at first
Number 3! Pick number 3 my lord!
ok my guess is place #3
update: YESSSSSSS
loved this video!
3?
My vote is carpet apartment! Has a nice ring to it
I think you chose apartment 3!
I see you tried to not make it obvious, but being the best location makes it such a giveaway :)
No way that's the avg for a 1 bedroom in seattle, it's gotta be more
It is more. And none of these had in unit laundry which def raises the prices. My 1 bed jumped to $2200 a few years back, I now share a house.
why not oregon?
LOVE U so proud omg
Here’s my ranking of choices: 3, 1, 5, 2, 4
#3 is the obvious choice IMO
This could have easily been a 10 minute video - I skipped around lot. Welcome to Seattle though!
Place 3, locking it in
I didn’t realize Seattle is cheaper than Denver now
I’m happy for you!
