2:59 That scream of agony. So Brilliant!! Well done! Reiner has been my favorite character ever since I read the manga, he suffers too much...thank you for this! 😭😭
I agree, that part was very impactful, I kept going back 10s to see it again, when you do it it hurts even more and I'm saddened by the pain the reiner felt.
I love Reiner from the first time he appeared, but only because he was handsome, after a few episodes I loved his personality, but after the manga I absolutely love everything about him, such a well written character, I want to hug him so bad
3:00 man that roar with the flashbacks. Brings a tear to my eye. You can practically feel his pain. It's like he's saying to his now ex friends "you call me a traitor as if I wanted to do this but tell me what else could i have done? What else can I do besides follow their orders? You dont know anything about me, you dont know how I feel, you don't know how much this is tearing me apart. You dont know a fucking thing" if he said that.... damn I would cry.
OMG THE END THOUGH!! I cried so much, thank you!! Amazing edit, one of the best!!! Edit: I would have love to see added Udo and Zofia's deaths, though, it would have matched the tone perfectly
If this was a trailer I would have loved it Reiner is my favorite character because my father never loved me ,just how Reiner father never love him ,not only that I was never meant for anything ,just like he 😭😭😭😭😭😭
and all of these people still ask me why i love him.. he's been through a lot, neither side wanted him and it's killing me. everytime when i see him i get emotional.
I never saw that the miniature is litteraly "FOR GOAT TEN" with Reiner himself in the middle of the word And i cannot agree more He's the best character in AoT
Reiner is by far my favorite character in aot, mappa should bring him some happiness, hes been through so much watched everybody die around him, I wish more people would feel for him than eren, eren is the true traitor not just to his people but to all of humanity
@Paper i believe he died just like that , unfortunately without fullfilling anything , but on the other hand their side shouldve had a loss or else they would lose reiner and the whole army without gaining anything
they had so many chances to end reiner, but his genuine split personality and the trauma and beating he had to endure since childhood, and the burden of wars and deceased comrades on both sides of the wall.. made him a subject of sympathy.. even for eren, who's willing to fuk shet up no regrets style.. reiner has been beat up over and over, had no real worth between his allies and family, and wanted to prove himself when he broke the wall.. he even felt more self worth being alongside the people of paradis.. he was able to pretend he's actually that big tough reliant comrade and not the one being kicked down.. he felt so torn and guilty, he admitted he's the armored titan inside paradis.. a child deprived of a normal childhood and made into a soldier. we all still get hyped at the sight of a broken armored titan.. a titan who's not there to take joy in killing people mercilessly or tossing buildings around like it holds no memories.. but a titan who's there to carry out a mission. when he begged eren to be killed.. when he tried to end it all himself.. reiner had me fuked up. he's an anguished child all the way through.. the only person from outside paradis who was so human, it hurts. unlike annie and bertholdt who killed with no sympathy and little understanding of their drive and purpose... reiner couldn't be that psychopath.. he's a soldier, a human and an anguished child. I don't believe in these new kids showing up on season 4 who are trying to reflect that we're all humans. there isn't a greater example of humanity than the armored titan. he's there to take the hit for his comrades. he's there to be the first to put himself under the train when his people are in danger.. I could never hate him and now I feel genuinely sad for his current state.. it's hard to be at any real peace after this much trauma.. people who haven't looked further into his character and accomplishments won't admit he's a hero. if you think the protagonist is always the good guy, this isn't different from death note. you can admire eren, but eren has given up on his humanity, whereas reiner hasn't. eren failed to understand that people outside the wall are human, whereas reiner found out the hard way that people inside the wall are human.
Bruh dude. Bertholdt was the one who understood the most of the 3 He stood in front of armin facing his old comrades. He said they are no devils and that they are innocent. But its his mission to end them. Thevworld is just that cruel like he said. He and annie also cried after betrayal can t say the same for reiner

I'd actually disagree... *SPOILERS for the AoT Manga* There is a great analysis of Reiner's character arc in the final arc that I read recently, but I won't force it on you so I'll just summarise slightly if you would like to read. Reiner sadly never got the spotlight like I was really hoping for with him and Eren facing off and a callback to Helos, but throughout the final arc Reiner was actually one of the most well developed because as it went along he proved himself as a hero by being so selfless in battle and protecting his allies. He played one of the most important roles by stopping the worm from empowering Eren and Ymir once again, even though it would have been better should he have fought Eren directly. In doing all of this he helped protect the world and give some hope to his loved ones, like Falco and Gabi who no longer have to fear the "Dark Future" he mentioned. Although, the most important aspect of Reiner's arc is outside of the battles. Slowly, but surely, Reiner was reconciling with people and understanding them and receiving their love and forgiveness. Jean through their acknowledgement of Marco, saving and protecting each other and Jean telling Reiner he is still a part of the Survey Corps. Annie he asked for her to forgive him directly and they made up after all these years and even had a nice somber moment, this is also where he apologises to Bertholdt although I wish we also got a moment of Reiner and the other Warriors seeing Bertholdt, Porco, Marcel and Ymir in the gas like the SC did. He finally understood why Eren thought they were the same and, while not directly stated, it could be argued part of his reason for fighting was freeing Eren too. Finally, Karina finally accepted him as her son and not just a tool she can use, and her loving him as a mother is the final catalyst for Reiner's own growth in order for him to start learning to love and forgive himself rather than just beating himself up on the inside and thinking he needs to die to atone for his sins. Then when we see him after the timeskip he is looking healthier because he put some muscle back on and is all nice and clean shaven and he's acting happier too. He's been able to live 3 years in a completely new world with new purpose and resolve, so while he might not be fully healed from his emotional scars he repaired his relationships with those people he wronged and he can live a happier life with a true family who he cares for and who cares for him with Karina and Falco and Gabi. Sorry, that was still long and drawn out, but hopefully if you read it then you can understand where I'm coming from. The original post that this analysis came from was way longer, but I added some of my own thoughts too. Basically, Reiner arguably got some of the most development for the end of his arc, but it was spaced out over the course of the final arc and I feel like his ending was very satisfying despite him not having as big a role as he could, and honestly should, have had. Here's a link for the post if you happen to be interested too: valzor.wordpress.com/reiner-braun-the-judged/
@@jasonblack2477 I've thought about this a lot too. I really think it was a missed opportunity, but I have a head canon reason for why they didn't appear. When the dead shifter's regain control and sacrifice themselves I thought that maybe their souls moved on from whatever realm of the dead there is, since they died a second death. Still, I would really like a moment where Bert, Ymir, Marcel and Porco get a goodbye. Even Zeke although he betrayed them.
Dude, this is amazing. Watching this made me relate to my favorite character even more than before. How easy would it be to swap the dialogue for the English dub and keep the Japanese roar? I want to show my friend this, but they only watch the dub.
