LGA doesn't belong on this list anymore. The new terminals B and C are absolutely gorgeous with awesome dining options, while the increased taxi space reduces delays significantly. It's a top shelf airport now with the old terminals demolished.

I have been to DFW a couple of times, and although it is a large airport, the Skylink is very helpful in getting to your gate. However, this last time I was annoyed because I took the Skylink to my gate,or what I thought was my gate. It only took me to the area where my gate was located. I had to go up and down like three different escalators and a staircase to finally get to my gate.

Kansas City had one of the worst airports. It was built about 50 years year just before all of the security concerns. Consequently, big barriers had to put up between secure and non-secure areas so there were narrow hallways, not enough seating or restrooms.
Kansas City just opened their new airport terminal which cost about 1.8 billion dollars. I think Kansas City now has one of the nicest, cleanest, brightest airports in the nation. It was one of the top ten worst, now its one of the top ten best in the country.

About Newark Airport, their TSA is annoying as hell, the cancellations is not a lie and I was delayed 5 hours once thanks to a thunderstorm. The Uber is not a lie either but add roughly $20 if you're going to Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and $35 for Staten Island! No lie. I live by Newark Airport. Anyways, to get there are the AirTrain from EWR Train Station, NJT bus 37, 62, 67, 107 (late night) GO28. Coach USA 100 Express to Grand Central, Trans-Bridge.
Hold up... I had no issues at MCO (Orlando), ORD (O'Hare) nor LGA (LaGuardia). Speaking of LaGuardia Airport, to get there, M60 (from Manhattan) Q47-Q48, Q70 and Q72. LaGuardia is freaking awesome! At least cancellations are Way less than Newark Airport and JFK combined. There's awesome shops nearby in the airport too.

I've been to all of these airports many times except Omaha and Hollywood, FL. LAX is the worst with Newark being the second worst. The lack of public transit in LA makes LAX an absolute sh*t show.
Laguardia, other than the fact that there is no train that runs to the airport, is actually really nice now (though it was definitely horrendous before).

I’m a Bay Area resident. TSA at SFO is actually quite well run, particularly if you have TSA Pre-Check. TSA gave SFO permission to have outside contractors performing the service, and they are a damn sight better than government workers. My gripes about SFO are the delays from fog and, at least on the international side, the lounges are terrible, except for United Polaris. We often fly to Asia and the lounges at SFO (and pretty much any other US airport) always look like repurposed conference rooms. One other thing is luggage carts. Other than in international arrivals, you have to pay for a cart. Have NEVER seen that in Asia.

As a flight attendant I can definately rate airports better than this list.
Any "worst" list that excludes ATL and MIA, with their miles-long walks, or DEN which should be renamed the Kansas/Colorado/Nebraska regional airport loses credibility from the outset. And lucky me, I've been able to avoid the new SLC with it's already infamous walking distance.
This vid was a waste of time.

    • @gumbyshrimp2606

Why would you consider DEN to be the Kansas/Colorado/Nebraska regional airport?

    • @awabob
      @awabob ปีที่แล้ว

Because it's nowhere remotely close to the city. The list of airports that are farther from their city is short. I'm not talking about some 3rd or 4th airport that's 100 miles away, I'm talking about a city's main gateway airport.
This thing is out in the plains on the way to Nebraska, so far from the city that if you have a short flight you might as well just drive instead.
And I haven't even touched on it's awful design...

I live in Orlando. And don’t be fooled by the image of good weather. Winters are gorgeous and mild. But summers start about mid April and end around November 1st . And every day during the summer Orlando gets huge thunderstorms and lightning in the afternoons and evenings. This causes delays because the ground crew can’t be outside during lightning strikes. So expect delays when flying in and out of MCO during summer afternoon and evening.

The DART Orange Line which takes you into downtown Dallas, and then up to the fast grow in Collin county, the Tex Rail line, which goes from downtown Fort Worth to the airport and the TRE line which connects downtown Dallas, and Fort Worth with a stop near the airport. I have a love/hate relationship with DFW. I have cancelled vacations just to avoid flying out of there. At the height of summer, it is a NIGHTMARE with delays and cancellations. Also, the large number of runways adds to the traffic problems: it can take your plane a long long time to taxi back to the gates if the tower forces them to land far from the terminal. There are so many runways that two bridges go directly over the highway like in Amsterdam-Schiphol! I once sat in a plane, baking in the 100-degree heat for an hour and then the flight got cancelled. The crew couldn't start up the engines! It was long, long run back to the ticket counter to get rebooked and then I had to come back the next day and repeat the process all over again.

Seems like the local politicians go out of the way to glorify themselves in various infomercials posted throughout the facility. SFO shouldn't be on this list, at least now. The stories you hear about the city are precisely the opposite when looking at the airport. They have free water fountains, and while everything is expensive, it's San Francisco where everything is expensive. Security is also a lot better, and thanks to the BART system, the most you will have to pay for going between the airport and the City (not the Town) is $10 as of writing.

What the hell is wrong with Orlando International Airport?

  • @largol33t12

I can put up with a very simple airport even if it has delays so it wouldn't bother me much. It's funny that your next choice was SFO, which is a total 180. It is too big, too complicated and too crowded. I can't stand that place and it needs to have the domestic terminals redesigned so badly...
My home airport is DFW and I expected it to be on the list. Getting to the airport is a hassle. If you miss your entry ramp to the terminal, you have to take a back road that goes all around the terminal and backtrack a loooooong way then wash, rinse, repeat. It can be a nightmare. Also, because it's so spread out, there's no way to know if you will have an average, good or bad day. You might get the normal TSA line. But then a month later, the same line is run by drunk fools. And some airline counters like American and United are backed up because they don't staff very many of them. The one thing that really irritates me is the looong run to the gates. You will live like Kevin from "Home Alone": running as fast as you can to your gate, which feels like it's in the next city. Another problem for me is that it's considered a "crossing point" for many airlines. If someone wants to fly from one side of the country to the other, there is a very high chance it could make a stop at DFW, just adding to the traffic congestion. I also sometimes have bad luck: I wind up on a flight that has to taxi so far away that I tell my relatives that you take TWO trips at DFW. The first trip is from the gate to the runway. The second trip is your actual flight! The only saving grace is at least they have plenty of very good dining options when you're stuck there...

Oh Yeah orlando is the worst airport to me Due to the TSA agent not giving a care in the world and we were about to be late and to make matters worse we went to the Delta terminal instead if the Southwest Airlines terminal.

I thought that JFK and LaGuardia were located within NY City? Wikipedia says they are both located in Queens, which is a part of NY City.
9:35 You say that JFK is "in busy New York" then you say that it is "30 minutes away". Not making much sense, IMHO.

Best airport in the country has to go to Medford, Oregon. A small, insignificant facility (sorry, but true), but the staff goes out of their way to be civilised (unlike ATL, JFK, SFO, etc.. -- run by one-Party kleptocracies), and you go from street to gate in 15 minutes. Well done, Medford!

Are you just regurgitating secondhand information you found somewhere else? If you’re gonna do videos like this go to the places and report on your own experiences! I’ve been through MCO several times in the last decade and it was always fast and flawless. ORD is a mess, LAX is the mess that eats other messes. EWR is dumpy, but 3/4 flights canceled? That’s ridiculous!! Nobody calls FLL “Hollywood International Airport.” And you didn’t even mention ATL?! You obviously just thought it would be cool to make a video on a subject you know nothing about after some minimal research. Lazy.

I'm so disappointed with your list -- what??!! Philadelphia International isn't on your list? 🤣🤣🤣 But seriously, I've flown INTO LAX, SFO, and DFW and agree that these airports -- which I've flown into from PHL (my Home Airport) as connecting airports are really TERRIBLE. One caveat for me is that I have TSA Pre-Check, so I've NEVER had any issues with any of the Security check-ins. I've also flown into MCO (Orlando) and FLL many times and never had issues with these two airports either. But, when you say Hollywood Airport, aren't you referring to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport????
