Tristem Saris me too South Sudan 🇸🇸 is probably the second worst country in the world after North Korea 🇰🇵 in fact it might be worse anyway South Sudan is basically just a Third World war torn country that’s basically just anarchy at this point and has nothing interesting so I seriously don’t get why they have an airport (even if it was built when South Sudan was still part of Sudan 🇸🇩 and they just never closed it but Sudan isn’t much better than South Sudan).

Stockholm Arlanda AirPort isn’t bad actually and doesn’t deserve to be in this list. I’ve flown from there many times and I can say it’s actually really nice. The airport is never crowded and the staff is really nice. It’s a modern airport and the delays isn’t the airports fault. The same goes for Paris Charles de Gaulle where I also have been flying from a couple of times. I would say that Paris Beauvais is way worse and more crowded than CDG.

As a Stockholmer I can agree that Arlanda Airport's rest rooms are too few and outdated. Except the new part of Terminal 5 which is also the largest terminal there. Which basically means that you have to fly with SAS, Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian or Iceland Air to be on the right side of the airport.
It was like 14 years ago since I had to do a transfer landing in CDG Paris. All the things you said about that place can I agree on, especially the thing you said. It is basically like a place that 1st graders made and are running the airport. It was a nightmare. I can go as far as to say that it's quite similar to the things you said about JFK Airport.
Even Budapest Airport could've been on this list. Too small, outdated, rude staff and overcrowded.
Anyway, I learned so much about USA from your videos. So exciting for your coming International videos.

I'm an experienced traveler, including to some developing countries, and Paris is the WORST airport I have ever seen. Make sure you have at least 3 hours wiggle room if you're connecting there.
My friend and I arrived at the Paris airport for a layover. When we arrived, we were shuttled to the main building. Now I've had to do this many times before, and that didn't bother me all that much, although the wait time was more than double what I've had in other places. When we arrive at the airport itself, we have to go back through a security check and discard all liquids. Keep in mind we came directly from the plane with no chance to stop in between, and I'm sure at least a few people bought duty free alcohol. That was inconvenient, but luckily we had plenty of time and no expensive liquids. We checked the board and found our flight was delayed, and had been moved to a completely different terminal.
That's not uncommon either, and we weren't all that bothered, in fact the delay worked in our favor. Unfortunately, maybe due to construction as there was a lot of that happening, we had to go out through passport control and then back in through security again to get to our gate. My friend had thrown out an entire bottle of water in the first security check, and bought another when we got through, so she had to down as much as she could of that one and then throw it away too.
We finally make it through all of that mess, and we then have to walk through the entire building, get in line for another shuttle, and walk another building length to get to our gate. The gate itself is in the downstairs ground level, and passengers have to get on, you guessed it, shuttles to their airplane. This wouldn't be so bad, except it was January, and they left the doors wide open the entire time a planes passengers were being loaded onto or unloaded from shuttles.
By this point, we're starving, and we have another hour or so before our flight boards, so we go in search of food. The terminal we're in has all of 3 options, all of which are pastries/bread. Now don't get me wrong, I love bread and bread from Paris is great, but I really wanted a meal rather than a snack that cost as much as one. You can't get to any other terminal without dealing with the ridiculous shuttle system, and that wasn't happening, so we made due. Word to the wise, however, avoid this airport for layovers if AT ALL possible. If you have to go there, give yourself plenty of time, pack a few extra sweaters in the winter or prepare for heat in the summer, and prepare to be very, very frustrated!

CDG ist not just one airport. There's the old CDG1, the low cost CDG3, the non Air France CDG 2A and 2B, the Air France CDG2C and CDG2D, the new and really chic CDG2E and CDG2F, and the remote CDG2G for short range flights. You need at least six reviews to cover the entire airport. Depending on the company you fly with, and your destination, it is an entirely different experience.

That personality trait is typical Swedish behavior. We all look and behave as if we're on anti depressants all the time. It's not considered a diagnosis in Sweden but rather something that comes with the weather and dark winters.

Came for Paris CDG, wasn‘t disappointed. Only things that work are T3 and T2G, because they are run like 2 extra local airports that you actually have to take a seperste Bus to.
T2E is bigger than everything else, has 3 parts that are only connected by train, had the roof collapse, you have to check in in one of the parts if international an take the train and if you are local, you have to got to T2F and take a long gangway. Also the roof collapsed 2005 and killed 4. Inefficient representative Shopping-Mall. And those inaudible announcements! Worse even than in Casablanca.

The businesses here are the friendliest of any airport, as when our flight got delayed 6 hours to Bulgaria because of weather, on Irish restaurant allowed us to sit in, and provided free beverages, but the seating can be a little crowded here, the only little mistake.

  • @sachinmistry1

Charles deGaulle airport was the worst airport experience I've ever had.
I tried to reach my flight, but it was canceled and no one there was there to help me. I was directed to another flight by the staff, and that turned out to be wrong too. Then, I was told to get a new boarding pass from a different section in the airport. The ticketing counter was closed, and I had to wait until they opened up again, which is the next morning. So I spent the night at a hotel and went to Aer Lingus for my boarding pass. The accused me of being late to my canceled flight and directed me to British Airways. I had to stand in two lines and wait for almost 2 hours to get my boarding pass that didn't have a seat number.
I arrived to the British Airways gate with my boarding pass. Before I could get a seat number, they set me aside and interrogated me. They asked me a lot of personal questions about why I missed my flight, and what I was doing the night before. As the passengers were walking past us, they did a thorough search of my items. I had to open all my pencil cases and sketchbooks. I was padded down, and they checked within my waistband. It felt very violating and humiliating. Eventually, I was able to board my plane and catch a flight back to Austin. On top of that, my checked luggage was delayed. They did manage to deliver it to my apartment a few days later.
I should also mention that there was practically no food options around the airport. At the gates, I may have seen old tuna baguettes and maybe a few pastries. Its a little surprising, considering the food in Paris was really good.
This was definitely the worst airport experience I've had! Definitely worse than being conned out of $20 by luggage handlers in Mumbai.

I've been to several of these airports, but I have a few to add: Orly in Paris is way worse than CDG. CDG has its issues but it's 100% better than Orly. Also, Tunis airport in Tunisia where you cannot pay for anything with Tunisian currency. Repeat: You can't use the local currency in the airport. So, if you have some money left at the end of your vacation, literally just give it to your cab driver (you can't trade it back in for dollars or euros). I also think that the airport in Saint Martin that's sandwiched between a beach and a mountain is pretty intense.

Where did you get your info on the Krakow airport? I'm genuinely curious. I never met people that rude when I was in Poland.... granted, I was coming back to the States with stitches on my forehead, so maybe people went out of their way to be nice. Or at least not rude. Their security is pretty lax though. I accidentally made it through security with scissors in my purse. I didn't even realize, until I made it home.

In December 2019, I connected through London-Heathrow, and it was a disaster! None of the trains were working, so we had to walk the whole way. Then we had to head up a set of stairs, only to find the escalators not working! So we had to use elevators! Then we had to go through security again! I swore never to go through that airport again, but I know I’ll break that promise. British Airways was the best! But Heathrow airport in my opinion, is the worse.

I have only been to 2 airports at this list. Stockholm Arlanda and London Luton. I don't agree with you that Arlanda is the 3 worst airport outside of the US, but you could certainly argue for it. A standard bottle of water can cost up to 59 SEK after security, which is around 6 USD, and the customer service is Scandinavian (= efficient but not so good). Arlanda is not good, but I believe there are many worse airports in the world. I still enjoyed the video though.

Barcelona’s was bad, not because it’s inefficient or busy but because of how depressing it is compared to the region in Spain. When landing you see beautiful sparkling blue water and the stunning Barcelona scenery. But the airport is ugly to look at; it’s like someone said “hey let’s take an old hanger, stick some gate bridges onto it and throw in some shops and escalators into it and we’ll be good”

I wasn’t expecting Luton on here, but I can definitely see why you chose it. I fly there regularly to Poland each year, and nearly every year there is some kind of pointless renovation which makes the queues really long. And I do agree with the money-snatching issue. But I disagree with Krakow and Stockholm. When I flew to Krakow, the staff were really friendly and it was relatively clean compared to Luton, but that’s just me, maybe they’re more friendly to native Poles, I don’t really know

Muscat, Oman. At least the terminal where my plane "docked". We rolled past the nice-looking terminals and stopped at what looked like a 7-Eleven in a bad neighborhood. There were no jetways so we had to de-plane via stairs. We were then herded into a big room where we had to attempt to buy "visas" to get past Immigration. Damn-near no one spoke English and I didn't do the local language very well (read: At all). It was also about 1 or 2 AM local and I had just flown in from San Diego. At least I didn't have to work the next day...

KTM - Kathmandu, Nepal. Everything is disorganized. The flight monitors only show flights that have departed. A passenger really has to be attentive to make sure he/she is even at the right gate. Any airport in Morocco. Marrakech airport is probably the most beautiful I've been to but it takes over an hour to get to your departing plane with all the security details to go through.

10: OTP Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport ( A bit dated)
9: NCE Nice Cote D’Azur Airport ( Way to long lines (Longer than LTN’s lines) (Check in took 40 minutes) )
8: CLJ Cluj Avram Iancu Airport ( Basically Pointless, also way to small )
7: LTN London Luton Airport ( Long lines )
6: MAD Madrid Barajas Airport ( The airport was designed by 3 year olds )
5: CIA Rome Ciampino Airport ( Rude staff and also kinda pointless (Just fly from Flumicino) )
4: BCN Barcelona El Prat Airport ( No entertainment ( boring (my opinion ) ) )
3: CDG Paris Charles de gaulle ( Unorganised)
2: BFS Belfast Airport ( Dated, tired and filthy)
1: BVA Paris Beauvais airport ( Boring, stupid, dated and pointless ( Take CDG even if its a bad airport too, its better) )

Years ago I flew in from Berlin on a later flight than planned - missed my original flight out of Berlin because of a traffic jam - and missed my SuperShuttle to my hotel. After attempting to use my limited French the customer service agents at the desk switched to English quickly, were very helpful to contact SS, and gave me excellent directions to the pick up area...and some excellent advice to avoid the unauthorized cabs. A++

The airport itself makes you believe you landed in Beirut: a hole knocked in the side of the building, machine-gun-toting guards and no jetway.
And the final coupe de grace was that we had to fasten the luggage down in the bed of the truck. Luggage gets stolen from vehicles stopped in traffic. What a place!
