He's the one who made the "exchange deal" with Blitzø, dubbed him his "impish little plaything", and just last episode, gave Blitzø no time to process the love confession bomb he dropped on him out of nowhere before pushing him away, among other things from this and last season. They both have faults they need to answer for, and I hope Vivziepop doesn't retcon it so only Blitzø has to take accountability.

Very late to this, but I also think the way Stolas acts towards any other imp is problematic and could be part of Blitzo's lack or realizing the relationship. E.g. I don't think he knows either Milly or Moxxie's names and just calls them "you littler ones" or just points at them, the way he ignores his imp servants, the way that he still seems to expect the formality of "your highness, with all due respect" from Moxxie, or at least doesn't say that he doesn't need said formality. I just think that those could all be things Blitz sees and, incorrectly but understandably, assumes "I'm only special cause I'm his plaything"
This is what annoys me in this episode: Blitz is completely valid for thinking Stolas looks down on Imps in general and him in particular and a large part of the community doesn't seem to recognize that. When did Stolas communicate that he respects Blitz outside of the few words during Full Moon? Stolas constantly uses a nickname Blitz finds demeaning, calls him his "Impish little plaything" during Truthseekers, never even bothers to learn Millie and Moxxie's names and behaves disrespectfully to Imps in a whole slew of other instances. We, the audience, know that Stolas means it to be playful banter when talking to Blitz but he definitely has inherent classism and never bothers to indicate that his banter comes from a position of respect, and as such that doesn't get through to Blitz.
Exactly! Even during this episode, why does Stolas refers to Striker as ‘that vile Striker friend of yours’. To me, it felt like the expression used had classist and racist undertones. Maybe I’m overthinking it though.

I can't bring myself to not feel bad for Blitz in this situation. Yeah, he fucked up and treated Stolas and everyone else like trash, but the one this dude hates the most his himself. And to be on a party where all people celebrate to hate him? This must hurt, especially to see Stolas there, the person he really wants. I'm sure seeing all the people he hurt is going to be a turning point for Blitz, to change himself, be a better person and make amends.
Absolutely agreed. I like am all for they both fucked up bandwagon but the beginning of this episode really made me loose sympathy real fast. I was watching with a friend and literally got so pissy
I think seeing how may people got hurt because of him was even harder for him that seeing how many people hate him. He already knows everyone hates him and hide behind stupid excuses to not openly recognise that he’s the one in the wrong. He says things like “they’re just bitter they couldn’t tie this ass down” so he can avoid acknowledging the responsibility he had in what happened with these people. So having it all put in his face during that party was necessary for him to finally realise and take the first step towards change.
Did you…watch the episode? Versika explains it clearly even in the letter. This isnt a celebration of people who were heartbroken by Blitz, it’s a means of having closure from the hurt and pain he cause as a partner and that he took advantage of so many people at their lowest and most vulnerable because of his self hatred and this is their way of connecting with others who went through the same thing and building a support network from it while also having some fun.
During their talk, Verosika breaks the railings for her to sit while Blitzo sits down without breaking it due to his small size. This means that while they are talking Verosika is the one that is free while Blitzo is still trapped by his self-loathing and other issues.
I noticed a LOT of gestures that held a lot of symbolism as well in this episode, the writers, storyboarders and animators absolutely kill those kinds of things.
I love that they're just burning a png of an actual Blitzø plush. Hilarious. Also, I love how much depth Verosika has compared to her first appearance.
Also one more thing it's so sad to see how Blitz' and Stolas' relationship changed. That Stolas even says "Im uncomfortable with how you are speaking to me" shows how Stolas feels currently
@@adolfocoy7516 No one is saying Blitzø should've been cool about it. The difference is Blitzø never expressed being uncomfortable about the situation, and was even enthousiastic about it, until after the date at Ozzie's, after which point Stolas not only stopped doing it, but has also shown regrets about doing it in the first place. You can't expect Stolas to respect Blitzø's discomfort if he actually seems to be enjoying the dirty talk, and even initiates it. Meanwhile Stolas has communicated about him not enjoying it anymore, and that should be respected.
@@bouboulrozhe did react very badly to Stolas nicknames very often even calling him a dick in Harvest Moon episode for calling him Blitzy. They both messed up badly and need to make amends imo. 😢 plus Stolas needs some real life relationship experience because he is living in fantasy world too much still. I hope now that they are broken up he gets to date others to grow in his own way too.
@@bouboulroz I think you should re-watch the first few episodes of season 1 cause there are a lot of moments where Blitzo expresses that he's uncomfortable. Like in the Loo Loo land episode where Blitzo constantly tells Stolas to stop flirting with him. Or in the striker episode, where he tells Stolas to stop calling him Blitzi
I appreciate all the extra details this episode, specifically the costumes other demons were wearing at the party. You already noticed Beetlejuice but there's also Kill Bill, Freddy Krueger, and a couple dressed as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. Probably others I missed as well. Makes the Halloween party feel more legit to me. Great episode!
How much ya wanna bet it’s one of those classic cases where it started out with a heated argument/fight over Mayberry’s husband then simmered down to a drunken night together then finished off with them having angry $€x and waking up the next morning saying “eh why not”
@@DarkKnightofAnime I can see it having gone two ways really, either something like you said with them arguing about it all, most of all about Mayberry's husband and her having made him cheat and all that jazz. Or, Martha actually sought her out because, well.... Like, the girl not only came home and went berserk when she found her husband cheating, trying and failing to kill her. But she even literally had demons come from hell to finish her off for her. A sort of earnest and total absolute dedication that someone like Martha, that's always been cheating just had never experienced at all.
I'm gonna be honest, I love seeing Stolas be sassy cause it's funny, but I find it hard to be on his side when he is still being a massive hypocrite. He talks about how uncomfortable Blitz is making him, when Stolas ignored Blitz's boundaries and comfort through all of season one. He asks 'when have I ever' in reference to looking down on him, when throughout all of season one he referred to Blitz as "my little imp" and other demeaning things like that, often disregarding Blitz's actual feelings and requests. So while it's great to see him be sassy and the role reversal is hilarious, I don't want the show to JUST be Blitz fixing things. Stolas has a lot of things he needs to fix too. The lyrics of his song where he wonders if he was in the wrong give me hope.
This! This isn't all on Blitz and, while I love watching people react to the show because I always learn something else or hear insights I missed, I have yet to find someone who can see that both blitz and stolas are at least partially in the wrong.
Atleast in Stolas' song in the episode there were parts in it that looked like he understood that he made mistakes along the way. Hopefully Stolas can see his role in this and learn from it as well
My personal theory is Stolas is going to realize his mistake through exploring relationships with other hell borne. Pretty much all his interactions with those in a lower class than him has been Blitz. I don’t think Stolas truly realize how offensive he came off or how bad the class divide is until he actually socialize and mingle with those outside his bubble. So dating others is going the open his eyes. Alternatively , the shit likely coming Ozzie way with Fizz could also be a huge reveal for Stolas in realize how shitty the attitude towards imps is since Mammon already said that Ozzie was going to regret revealing his relationship. Either way, Stolas side in this isn’t going to be brushed away as it’s already been brought up in multiple episodes with Blitz.

Yes, they are both partially responsible for the bad things that happened between them, and Stolas knows that he messed up too at some point. He realised that the transactional relationship they had was unhealthy and feels guilty for putting Blitz through that. That’s why he gave Blitz the crystal. There are some other things he may need to apologise for too. But during the events of Full Moon and the morning of Apology Tour, Blitz was really shitty to him by insulting him, screaming at him and pushing his boundaries. I think if Blitz hadn’t resorted to anger at that moment, and they actually had a conversation, Stolas may have apologised for the things he did wrong. But now that Blitz has hurt him so much, I dont think he’s in the right place to do it. At least not now. Now, he needs some space, and maybe when blitz come back at him to have a real conversation and apologise for the things that happened, then Stolas will be able to apologise too.

He knew that Blitz not returning his feelings was a possibility (he even says in the Full Moon duet "if he's only here as a prisoner, what kind of monster does that makes me). What he didn't expect and what hurt him was the way Blitz resorted to anger and insulted him during Full Moon and it only got worse when Blitz continued and pushed Stolas' boundaries during the morning of Apology Tour. I'm not sure Stolas realised that the way he used to talk to Blitz may have worsened his feeling of inferiority. He sees Blitz as an equal so much that he can't see things from Blitz's perspective and understanding why Blitz would feel inferior because he's an imp. Because in his eyes, he doesn't see Imps as below him. And it makes him blind to his own behaviour, which he probably inherited from his father, who taught him that Goetia was above imps. I think that he will be able to realise if Blitz opens up about it and tells him how that felt for him. I'm sure when he realises that he will apologise. Bit before Blitz tells him about that, he has to Apologise to Stolas too.

Despite me being amongst those who aren’t the biggest fan of the fact that this show is a rom-com now, I actually like what I assume they’re going for. Shipping has always been the part of shows I’m least interested in, but I can still appreciate the good parts. They didn’t force them back together, but they didn’t shut the door on the whole thing either. I prefer when the character grows into a relationship over growing BECAUSE of a relationship. A wise man once said, “The best you can do is strive to be someone worthy of loving." Sometimes the best way to have a better relationship is to become better without one.
I do think that Stolas was out of line for criticizing Blitz for not coming himself to save him from Stryker in Western Energy. Blitz TOLD him he couldn't because he had something important with Loona. Which even at the time Stolas totally brushed off ("Oh yes, well that IS important, BUT I think..."). Plus it's not like he did nothing, he send M&M who clearly did a good job saving him and beating Stryker. Stolas is really coming off as the partner who's upset that their boyfriend prioritized their kid over them. Stolas needs to understand that he will always be #2 in Blitz's life AFTER Loona. As it should be. Blitz has an obligation to Loona as her dad to always put her first. And Stolas, of all people, should know that, since he's a father too.
What? It was literally life threatening for Stolas. He would've died if Stella hadn't called off the hit. That's a bit different than Loona missing a shot. Heck they wouldn't even have needed to wait several years, Stolas could've just arranged it as a thank you for saving him. This isn't just prioritizing your kid over your partner, it's complete disregard for their safety.

@@tomfou He was out of line. Even at the time I thought he was wrong. Blitz told Stolas he had something important with his daughter but Stolas wanted him to drop that and come play hero for him. This was before Stolas even realized he could be in actual danger. And now he's pissy Blitz didn't come HIMSELF, like that would have made any difference. He just wanted his romance novel scene. This is not the first time Stolas has done that either. He did the same thing with his OWN daughter at Looloo Land, and she called him out on it. "You just spend all your time flirting with some weird, red, dickhead". As fucked up as Blitz is, Stolas lets his craving for grand romance override his responsibilities. It's rather selfish and immature.
One thing that I discovered from seeing storyboards that didn't make it in is one of the guests is Travis. Yeah, TRAVIS. Valentino's director and script writer. Then again he did have that cameo in Spring Broken in line trying to hire IMP for whatever reason. Who knows, maybe he and Blitzø hooked up?
I can’t think of very much that would be more painful for someone like Blitz than being forced to both confront how many peoples he has hurt and to watch Stolas be happy with someone else (even if just temporarily). But without being forced to go through something like that he was never going to grow
While I do think Blitz needs to apologize and out of him and Stolas, he is the one more in the wrong, I see a lot of people that forget that BOTH of them are in the wrong and just rag on Blitz for his part. We as the audience, get the luxury to see Stolas's perspective of his feelings develop, while Blitz does not, until Full Moon, where by that point, Stolas has had months to come to terms with his feelings and create scenarios in his head where he wants Blitz to act in a certain way, that when he does confess his feelings to Blitz, for him, it comes out of nowhere, and instead of Stolas giving him time to process his feelings, he gets less than a minute before Stolas cuts him off for not immediatly acting the way he wanted him to and dismisses him. Also, a lot of people forget Stolas's actions in the earlier episodes, where he's the one to propose the sexual transactional relationship, constantly makes sexual advances that make Blitz uncomfotable, and where he calls Blitz somewhat demeaning things like "my little imp" and "my impish little plaything", and with *all* of his butlers and servants being imps, who are a lower class to Stolas, the same species as Blitz, it does make sense why Blitz would get the idea in his head that Stolas thinks of Blitz as "lesser" or "one of his butler imps". Again, i'm not saying this as an attempt to paint Stolas as being more in the wrong, I love him and as we've seen his perspective, I know that he is trying his best the best he knows how, but I think they both are the reason for their relationship falling apart as it is and they both need to heal and apologize and I don't see a lot of people who recognize that before solely blaming one or the other, especially Blitz.
someone else said this already in the comments, but i just want to point out that while blitz has a LOT of obvious faults, let's not let stolas off the hook either. it doesn't erase the way blitz has treated him, but stolas saying "i've never looked down on you- when have i ever?" -- we need to recognize that "little imp" "impish little plaything" and flirting with him in public when blitz clearly was uncomfortable etc. did have an impact on blitz also stolas said "when you couldn't bother to come help me" (referring to striker) - blitz was tending to his DAUGHTER. i think we shouldn't forget that either; it wasn't easy to drop that appointment. he waited 5 years for a shot that is required YEARLY. the system is so against the favor of imps and hellhounds, of course blitz couldn't imagine a goetian prince actually caring about him
I love how Blitz views the party when he first enters and then when he’s leaving. Completely opposite reactions and the guilt on his face when leaving and seeing how many people he truly screwed over and how it’s effecting them
After a few re-watches I noticed that the Incubus guy (who asked Stolas to dance) was wearing a shirt titled "Better than Blitzø". Was Vivian trying to hint us something?...
calling it now this is probably gonna be one of my favorite all-time episodes. It has everything I’ve always wanted for these characters. It’s going to be such a rewarding trait to see Blitzø change for the better.

Viv is not, people just kind of always liked to hate on blitz and iinfantilize stolas in a way. They both have problems, and they both had hard childhoods, but stolas has a lot of power, and just doesn't want to listen. Like when they fought, Blitz was trying to talk, yes he was angry but fighting happens. He was confused and scared, but instead of talking Stolas takes every little thing to heart first and think later. Viv has pretty much said he is emotions first. I think people just have a bad time at reading things. I took this as being both at fault, BUT stolas having all the power so as a whole he is more at fault. Yes he is a sweet guy, but he also is blind to his own actions/social privilege. While Blitz kinda' knows what he is doing but it's a defense because of his childhood/social status. And likes to think everyone is better off. Stolas had all the power in this, but fumbled over and over, then blows it up on Blitz knowing well he is a closed person instead of just talking first. I think as a whole they are both good people, but one is overly passive/privileged and blind to it and one is damaged and hurt causing defensive traits. 2 sides of the same coin, in many cases.

for context, blitz is treating it entirely like sex because STOLAS started it as a sexual transaction, its not like either of them are in the right, because neither of them are. They both have their problems and struggle to actually recognize and grow from them.

See the thing I notice as a fellow abuse survivor is that whenever blitz yells at stolas he becomes visibly uncomfortable. He's not just pissed, he's scared bc blitz is screaming at him like his ex wife did. I personally have a trauma response any time someone treats me in a similar vein to the way my abuser treated me. When blitz shouts in his face he is visibly upset not just bc he's shouting but bc it's EXACTLY how stella would act. Makes me want to slap some sense into blitz

I think this is one of my favorite episodes thus far. I’m honestly just happy Stolas gets an episode of being happy- especially cause it Just solidified how relatable and how he’s my favorite for me. How he just wants to feel love. It really just brought me to tears a little especially with how blitz was acting and treating him. I’m all for they are both in the wrong and stuff but rn I think it’s enough that. Blitz fucked up with this one and Stolas deserved to be happy, and now blitz can finally go in a self healing path man♥️
People are constantly missing a few crucial details in this whole Blitz and Stolas thing, I think even the writers here forgot them for this episode, because it's very strongly framed that Blitz is the only one who needs to apologize, but in reality... majority of the way Blitz handled things, within context, are 100% justified. First, what reason did Blitz have for believing that his thing with Stolas was anything other than what he thought it was? It's not like Stolas communicated any of that before the last episode, and when they were called out at Ozzie's club, rather than Stolas showing Blitz he had no shame over their relationship, he instead showed he was VERY MUCH ashamed. In this previous episode, he just dumped all his baggage on Blitz without warning and expected Blitz to have everything figured out within the course of what was effectively less than a minute. 90% of the time in season 1 when Blitz and Stolas speak to each other, Stolas IS talking down to Blitz. "Oooh Blitzy-Witzy~" "This book is for Hell ROYALTY, not ITTY BITTY WIDDLE IMPS LIKE YOU". All the other imps in Stolas's life are servants. What reason does Blitz have to think he's really any different, especially when pretty much EVERY time things get sexual between Stolas and Blitz it's STOLAS coming on to Blitz? It's literally Stolas calling on Blitz to fulfil their "agreement", and serve him. Yeah Blitz needs to learn to accept when people genuinely care about him, BUT STOLAS NEVER GAVE BLITZ ANY REASON TO THINK HE REALLY DID BEFORE. What Blitz said to Fizz while they were in the cage, he GENUINELY believed, and continued to believe all the way up until the end of S2 E8. What happened last episode shattered Blitz's world view. He SHOULD be mad because there was no lead up to this. Yeah he's lashing out childishly in the beginning of this episode, but I fully see where that anger is coming from. The things people miss about Blitz and Stolas's relationship are that the Hell Hierarchy is very REAL and Stolas has been very bad at showing and communicating to Blitz that he doesn't SEE Blitz as lesser than him, and in fact has been acting in ways that reinforce that entire narrative in Blitz's mind. And before anyone talks about the way Stolas acts in Season 2, notice how Blitz and Stolas are apart for a vast majority of the season, all the way up until episode 8, with the ONLY real exception being episode 2. It's even stated last episode that it was a few months before they'd seen each other. Great of Stolas to give himself all that time to plan their meeting only just to ambush Blitz all of a sudden with a bunch of stuff he could have never been prepared for on his own.

8:24 anther thing that reaffirms how strong Blitzø thinks Stolas is, is how he prioritized getting Loona to a doctor’s appointment that he had to make YEARS in advance, that she wanted no part in, for a hospital in the sloth ring, which-judging by it being in that ring, and the receptionist that in her own words couldn’t read-is quite a ways incompetent. But getting Loona to said appointment, that she would’ve been just fine pushing off for some more years, was more of a priority than saving Stolas from the assassin with Carmilla’s high-quality, refurbished angelic weapons, that we know can mortally wound and kill demons and some angels?? It just reaffirms how high of a pedestal he puts Stolas on, that he’d rather take that chance that he could save himself, over missing a doctor’s appointment for Loona that they’re both dreading. Ironically, that view of Stolas, only jeopardized their relationship and Stolas’ own safety than it did any good.

These last two episodes especially hurt, because I received a message from Shark Robot that the premium Stolas and Blitz plushies are on the way, after buying them in JANUARY!
Stolas has a pretty good hand in the blame too. He initiated their “favors for favors” relationship. Stolas caught feelings (I know they both did) Blitz couldn’t accept that and Stolas didn’t realize that that’s all it was for Blitz because that’s the agreement they had or that Blitz can’t understand how someone could care about him or even love him. He blindsided Blitz in full moon and when he got a reaction that wasn’t what he expected he shut Blitz out when he didn’t know how to react and lashed out. This is the closest they’ve gotten to an actual conversation about where they stand.
17:56 One of my favorite gags of the episode. In an animated series where they have done such a good job consistently animating *everything*, a png of a real life plushie being inserted for a couple seconds is comically out of place. 😂 Some fans may have a jealous dislike of that incubus because he interferes with the Stolitz ship, but as a Stolitz supporter myself, I really think they need this break from each other. Until they're ready to start talking about their lives (which they know next to nothing about each other), it'll be good for Stolas to see he can have dating options to explore, while Blitz takes time to sort through his feelings and guilt, thinking about what he needs to do to not be destructive to himself and other people anymore.
I loved this episode, but it bothers me SO MUCH that after an entire season of Stolas blatantly treating Blitz like an object, the narrative bends over backwards to say ONLY BLITZ was responsible for their relationship imploding. His "Itty bitty Imp/Impish Little Plaything nicknames? His constant dirty talk? Using his Blitzy nickname despite Blitz making it VERY CLEAR he did NOT like it? The infamous moment where he hides his face at Ozzie's? That was all Stolas. Yes, what Blitz said to him was hurtful, but he only felt the need to say that because Stolas had given him EVERY reason to think that he didn't care about him beyond sex, yet the episode refused to acknowledge that ONCE. It's not only blatant victim blaming, but it completely goes against Stolas' behavior in the last episode where he wanted to give him a choice. He comes off as less as one of many of Blitz's scorned lovers than as acting like a child because he didn't get the answer he wanted to hear and couldn't keep using their dynamic as a crutch to avoid his issues.

I feel so much of the misscommunication between these boys has to do with not opening about thier hurts. Blitz thinks he's this mighty rich prince with no problems and is just starting to see he's lonely while Stolas is trying to understand Blitz's walls but I don't think he understand Blitz's self loathing. He essentially starts to tell Stolas while he's drunk but I see takes thinking he will be too blacked out to remember and I am not happy with that if true =( I love Stolitz but affectionally get frustrated I want some communication to stick.
Blitz ghosted veroskia after she said she loved him by ditching her at the motel, stealing her car and spending all her money. She got every right to hate that guy and still has a soft spot for him.
While I do agree that Stolas is blaming himself too much, I do appreciate that he seems to be recognizing that the toxicity of their relationship wasn't _entirely_ on Blitzo Like during his song , the two specific glass shards he looks at as they fall around him are when he said some _very_ condescending things to Blitzo When he said "You're so _cute_ when you're _serious!_ " in S1EP2 and "My _little imp plaything._ " in S1EP6 respectively
You can't really put it all on Blitz though. Go back and reawatch the entire first season where Stolas was only ever after sex and even talked down to blitz here and there. It wasn't until the tail end of season 1 he actually started pursuing an emotional aspect and not very clearly. I mean his family literally bought blitz off his father and then Stolas turned him into a sex toy just so Blitz could do his job. Cut forward to now and even here it is lopsided. Blitz tells Stolas how he only wanted to apologize to him and Stolas responds with he "doesnt want to feel alone" and wants to be somebody's sombody. So in a way Blitz can see himself as still being used just for a different purpose.
I'm sorry I love both of them but I need you all to stop being so blind about Bltz perspective of this whole situation, Stolas HAS changed but that doesn't erase that he unintentionally had treated Blitz like a baby or making him uncomfartable with the sex advances. I love Stolas and he needs to recognized these errors and say sorry too

Yes, Verosika hates him for his reaction to her confessing her love, but how many others are one-time hookups or drunken make-out sessions? Both Verosika and Stolas saw how Blitzø reacted when someone says they love him. What are the chances that sends him back to his attempted declaration to Fizz which resulted in the death of his mother and split with his sister?

Very late to this, but I also think the way Stolas acts towards any other imp is problematic and could be part of Blitzo's lack or realizing the relationship. E.g. I don't think he knows either Milly or Moxxie's names and just calls them "you littler ones" or just points at them, the way he ignores his imp servants, the way that he still seems to expect the formality of "your highness, with all due respect" from Moxxie, or at least doesn't say that he doesn't need said formality. I just think that those could all be things Blitz sees and, incorrectly but understandably, assumes "I'm only special cause I'm his plaything"
This is what annoys me in this episode: Blitz is completely valid for thinking Stolas looks down on Imps in general and him in particular and a large part of the community doesn't seem to recognize that.
When did Stolas communicate that he respects Blitz outside of the few words during Full Moon? Stolas constantly uses a nickname Blitz finds demeaning, calls him his "Impish little plaything" during Truthseekers, never even bothers to learn Millie and Moxxie's names and behaves disrespectfully to Imps in a whole slew of other instances. We, the audience, know that Stolas means it to be playful banter when talking to Blitz but he definitely has inherent classism and never bothers to indicate that his banter comes from a position of respect, and as such that doesn't get through to Blitz.

Absolutely agreed. I like am all for they both fucked up bandwagon but the beginning of this episode really made me loose sympathy real fast. I was watching with a friend and literally got so pissy
I think seeing how may people got hurt because of him was even harder for him that seeing how many people hate him. He already knows everyone hates him and hide behind stupid excuses to not openly recognise that he’s the one in the wrong. He says things like “they’re just bitter they couldn’t tie this ass down” so he can avoid acknowledging the responsibility he had in what happened with these people. So having it all put in his face during that party was necessary for him to finally realise and take the first step towards change.

Did you…watch the episode? Versika explains it clearly even in the letter. This isnt a celebration of people who were heartbroken by Blitz, it’s a means of having closure from the hurt and pain he cause as a partner and that he took advantage of so many people at their lowest and most vulnerable because of his self hatred and this is their way of connecting with others who went through the same thing and building a support network from it while also having some fun.
During their talk, Verosika breaks the railings for her to sit while Blitzo sits down without breaking it due to his small size. This means that while they are talking Verosika is the one that is free while Blitzo is still trapped by his self-loathing and other issues.

The difference is Blitzø never expressed being uncomfortable about the situation, and was even enthousiastic about it, until after the date at Ozzie's, after which point Stolas not only stopped doing it, but has also shown regrets about doing it in the first place.
You can't expect Stolas to respect Blitzø's discomfort if he actually seems to be enjoying the dirty talk, and even initiates it.

I appreciate all the extra details this episode, specifically the costumes other demons were wearing at the party. You already noticed Beetlejuice but there's also Kill Bill, Freddy Krueger, and a couple dressed as Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. Probably others I missed as well. Makes the Halloween party feel more legit to me. Great episode!

@@DarkKnightofAnime I can see it having gone two ways really, either something like you said with them arguing about it all, most of all about Mayberry's husband and her having made him cheat and all that jazz. Or, Martha actually sought her out because, well.... Like, the girl not only came home and went berserk when she found her husband cheating, trying and failing to kill her. But she even literally had demons come from hell to finish her off for her. A sort of earnest and total absolute dedication that someone like Martha, that's always been cheating just had never experienced at all.
I'm gonna be honest, I love seeing Stolas be sassy cause it's funny, but I find it hard to be on his side when he is still being a massive hypocrite. He talks about how uncomfortable Blitz is making him, when Stolas ignored Blitz's boundaries and comfort through all of season one. He asks 'when have I ever' in reference to looking down on him, when throughout all of season one he referred to Blitz as "my little imp" and other demeaning things like that, often disregarding Blitz's actual feelings and requests. So while it's great to see him be sassy and the role reversal is hilarious, I don't want the show to JUST be Blitz fixing things. Stolas has a lot of things he needs to fix too. The lyrics of his song where he wonders if he was in the wrong give me hope.

My personal theory is Stolas is going to realize his mistake through exploring relationships with other hell borne. Pretty much all his interactions with those in a lower class than him has been Blitz. I don’t think Stolas truly realize how offensive he came off or how bad the class divide is until he actually socialize and mingle with those outside his bubble. So dating others is going the open his eyes. Alternatively , the shit likely coming Ozzie way with Fizz could also be a huge reveal for Stolas in realize how shitty the attitude towards imps is since Mammon already said that Ozzie was going to regret revealing his relationship. Either way, Stolas side in this isn’t going to be brushed away as it’s already been brought up in multiple episodes with Blitz.

But after some time its essental to see your fails... I really hope, Stolas would apologize to Blitz as well.
Yes, they are both partially responsible for the bad things that happened between them, and Stolas knows that he messed up too at some point. He realised that the transactional relationship they had was unhealthy and feels guilty for putting Blitz through that. That’s why he gave Blitz the crystal. There are some other things he may need to apologise for too. But during the events of Full Moon and the morning of Apology Tour, Blitz was really shitty to him by insulting him, screaming at him and pushing his boundaries. I think if Blitz hadn’t resorted to anger at that moment, and they actually had a conversation, Stolas may have apologised for the things he did wrong. But now that Blitz has hurt him so much, I dont think he’s in the right place to do it. At least not now. Now, he needs some space, and maybe when blitz come back at him to have a real conversation and apologise for the things that happened, then Stolas will be able to apologise too.

He knew that Blitz not returning his feelings was a possibility (he even says in the Full Moon duet "if he's only here as a prisoner, what kind of monster does that makes me). What he didn't expect and what hurt him was the way Blitz resorted to anger and insulted him during Full Moon and it only got worse when Blitz continued and pushed Stolas' boundaries during the morning of Apology Tour.
I'm not sure Stolas realised that the way he used to talk to Blitz may have worsened his feeling of inferiority. He sees Blitz as an equal so much that he can't see things from Blitz's perspective and understanding why Blitz would feel inferior because he's an imp. Because in his eyes, he doesn't see Imps as below him. And it makes him blind to his own behaviour, which he probably inherited from his father, who taught him that Goetia was above imps.
I think that he will be able to realise if Blitz opens up about it and tells him how that felt for him. I'm sure when he realises that he will apologise. Bit before Blitz tells him about that, he has to Apologise to Stolas too.

Despite me being amongst those who aren’t the biggest fan of the fact that this show is a rom-com now, I actually like what I assume they’re going for. Shipping has always been the part of shows I’m least interested in, but I can still appreciate the good parts.

I do think that Stolas was out of line for criticizing Blitz for not coming himself to save him from Stryker in Western Energy. Blitz TOLD him he couldn't because he had something important with Loona. Which even at the time Stolas totally brushed off ("Oh yes, well that IS important, BUT I think..."). Plus it's not like he did nothing, he send M&M who clearly did a good job saving him and beating Stryker.
Stolas is really coming off as the partner who's upset that their boyfriend prioritized their kid over them.
Stolas needs to understand that he will always be #2 in Blitz's life AFTER Loona. As it should be. Blitz has an obligation to Loona as her dad to always put her first. And Stolas, of all people, should know that, since he's a father too.

One thing that I discovered from seeing storyboards that didn't make it in is one of the guests is Travis. Yeah, TRAVIS. Valentino's director and script writer. Then again he did have that cameo in Spring Broken in line trying to hire IMP for whatever reason. Who knows, maybe he and Blitzø hooked up?
I can’t think of very much that would be more painful for someone like Blitz than being forced to both confront how many peoples he has hurt and to watch Stolas be happy with someone else (even if just temporarily). But without being forced to go through something like that he was never going to grow

While I do think Blitz needs to apologize and out of him and Stolas, he is the one more in the wrong, I see a lot of people that forget that BOTH of them are in the wrong and just rag on Blitz for his part. We as the audience, get the luxury to see Stolas's perspective of his feelings develop, while Blitz does not, until Full Moon, where by that point, Stolas has had months to come to terms with his feelings and create scenarios in his head where he wants Blitz to act in a certain way, that when he does confess his feelings to Blitz, for him, it comes out of nowhere, and instead of Stolas giving him time to process his feelings, he gets less than a minute before Stolas cuts him off for not immediatly acting the way he wanted him to and dismisses him. Also, a lot of people forget Stolas's actions in the earlier episodes, where he's the one to propose the sexual transactional relationship, constantly makes sexual advances that make Blitz uncomfotable, and where he calls Blitz somewhat demeaning things like "my little imp" and "my impish little plaything", and with *all* of his butlers and servants being imps, who are a lower class to Stolas, the same species as Blitz, it does make sense why Blitz would get the idea in his head that Stolas thinks of Blitz as "lesser" or "one of his butler imps". Again, i'm not saying this as an attempt to paint Stolas as being more in the wrong, I love him and as we've seen his perspective, I know that he is trying his best the best he knows how, but I think they both are the reason for their relationship falling apart as it is and they both need to heal and apologize and I don't see a lot of people who recognize that before solely blaming one or the other, especially Blitz.
You know: I do want Blitz and Stolas to be happy, and they deserve to be. But I feel like if theyre happier apart then I can live with that

someone else said this already in the comments, but i just want to point out that while blitz has a LOT of obvious faults, let's not let stolas off the hook either. it doesn't erase the way blitz has treated him, but stolas saying "i've never looked down on you- when have i ever?" -- we need to recognize that "little imp" "impish little plaything" and flirting with him in public when blitz clearly was uncomfortable etc. did have an impact on blitz
also stolas said "when you couldn't bother to come help me" (referring to striker) - blitz was tending to his DAUGHTER. i think we shouldn't forget that either; it wasn't easy to drop that appointment. he waited 5 years for a shot that is required YEARLY. the system is so against the favor of imps and hellhounds, of course blitz couldn't imagine a goetian prince actually caring about him

I love how Blitz views the party when he first enters and then when he’s leaving. Completely opposite reactions and the guilt on his face when leaving and seeing how many people he truly screwed over and how it’s effecting them

calling it now this is probably gonna be one of my favorite all-time episodes. It has everything I’ve always wanted for these characters. It’s going to be such a rewarding trait to see Blitzø change for the better.

Viv is not, people just kind of always liked to hate on blitz and iinfantilize stolas in a way. They both have problems, and they both had hard childhoods, but stolas has a lot of power, and just doesn't want to listen. Like when they fought, Blitz was trying to talk, yes he was angry but fighting happens. He was confused and scared, but instead of talking Stolas takes every little thing to heart first and think later. Viv has pretty much said he is emotions first. I think people just have a bad time at reading things. I took this as being both at fault, BUT stolas having all the power so as a whole he is more at fault. Yes he is a sweet guy, but he also is blind to his own actions/social privilege. While Blitz kinda' knows what he is doing but it's a defense because of his childhood/social status. And likes to think everyone is better off. Stolas had all the power in this, but fumbled over and over, then blows it up on Blitz knowing well he is a closed person instead of just talking first. I think as a whole they are both good people, but one is overly passive/privileged and blind to it and one is damaged and hurt causing defensive traits. 2 sides of the same coin, in many cases.

for context, blitz is treating it entirely like sex because STOLAS started it as a sexual transaction, its not like either of them are in the right, because neither of them are. They both have their problems and struggle to actually recognize and grow from them.
To be fair to Blitzø... Stolas kinda made the whole relationship about sex. While Stolas doesn't realize it he also talked down to Blitzø frequently, calling him Blitzy when he said not to, referring to him as a little imp. The transactional aspect too doesn't help. I don't blame Blitzø fully for not comprehending that a prince of hell could actually love him, he doesn't love himself and the last episode was the first time Stolas was clear about his feelings and to Blitzø he was woefully unprepared.
See the thing I notice as a fellow abuse survivor is that whenever blitz yells at stolas he becomes visibly uncomfortable. He's not just pissed, he's scared bc blitz is screaming at him like his ex wife did. I personally have a trauma response any time someone treats me in a similar vein to the way my abuser treated me. When blitz shouts in his face he is visibly upset not just bc he's shouting but bc it's EXACTLY how stella would act. Makes me want to slap some sense into blitz

Hard agree. I cried at the ending, and I haven't cried at a video game since Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. Absolutely recommend it, even if the gameplay isn't memorable.

I think this is one of my favorite episodes thus far. I’m honestly just happy Stolas gets an episode of being happy- especially cause it Just solidified how relatable and how he’s my favorite for me. How he just wants to feel love. It really just brought me to tears a little especially with how blitz was acting and treating him.
I’m all for they are both in the wrong and stuff but rn I think it’s enough that. Blitz fucked up with this one and Stolas deserved to be happy, and now blitz can finally go in a self healing path man♥️
People are constantly missing a few crucial details in this whole Blitz and Stolas thing, I think even the writers here forgot them for this episode, because it's very strongly framed that Blitz is the only one who needs to apologize, but in reality... majority of the way Blitz handled things, within context, are 100% justified.
First, what reason did Blitz have for believing that his thing with Stolas was anything other than what he thought it was? It's not like Stolas communicated any of that before the last episode, and when they were called out at Ozzie's club, rather than Stolas showing Blitz he had no shame over their relationship, he instead showed he was VERY MUCH ashamed. In this previous episode, he just dumped all his baggage on Blitz without warning and expected Blitz to have everything figured out within the course of what was effectively less than a minute.
90% of the time in season 1 when Blitz and Stolas speak to each other, Stolas IS talking down to Blitz. "Oooh Blitzy-Witzy~" "This book is for Hell ROYALTY, not ITTY BITTY WIDDLE IMPS LIKE YOU". All the other imps in Stolas's life are servants. What reason does Blitz have to think he's really any different, especially when pretty much EVERY time things get sexual between Stolas and Blitz it's STOLAS coming on to Blitz? It's literally Stolas calling on Blitz to fulfil their "agreement", and serve him.
Yeah Blitz needs to learn to accept when people genuinely care about him, BUT STOLAS NEVER GAVE BLITZ ANY REASON TO THINK HE REALLY DID BEFORE. What Blitz said to Fizz while they were in the cage, he GENUINELY believed, and continued to believe all the way up until the end of S2 E8. What happened last episode shattered Blitz's world view. He SHOULD be mad because there was no lead up to this. Yeah he's lashing out childishly in the beginning of this episode, but I fully see where that anger is coming from.
The things people miss about Blitz and Stolas's relationship are that the Hell Hierarchy is very REAL and Stolas has been very bad at showing and communicating to Blitz that he doesn't SEE Blitz as lesser than him, and in fact has been acting in ways that reinforce that entire narrative in Blitz's mind. And before anyone talks about the way Stolas acts in Season 2, notice how Blitz and Stolas are apart for a vast majority of the season, all the way up until episode 8, with the ONLY real exception being episode 2. It's even stated last episode that it was a few months before they'd seen each other. Great of Stolas to give himself all that time to plan their meeting only just to ambush Blitz all of a sudden with a bunch of stuff he could have never been prepared for on his own.

8:24 anther thing that reaffirms how strong Blitzø thinks Stolas is, is how he prioritized getting Loona to a doctor’s appointment that he had to make YEARS in advance, that she wanted no part in, for a hospital in the sloth ring, which-judging by it being in that ring, and the receptionist that in her own words couldn’t read-is quite a ways incompetent. But getting Loona to said appointment, that she would’ve been just fine pushing off for some more years, was more of a priority than saving Stolas from the assassin with Carmilla’s high-quality, refurbished angelic weapons, that we know can mortally wound and kill demons and some angels?? It just reaffirms how high of a pedestal he puts Stolas on, that he’d rather take that chance that he could save himself, over missing a doctor’s appointment for Loona that they’re both dreading. Ironically, that view of Stolas, only jeopardized their relationship and Stolas’ own safety than it did any good.

These last two episodes especially hurt, because I received a message from Shark Robot that the premium Stolas and Blitz plushies are on the way, after buying them in JANUARY!
Stolas has a pretty good hand in the blame too. He initiated their “favors for favors” relationship. Stolas caught feelings (I know they both did) Blitz couldn’t accept that and Stolas didn’t realize that that’s all it was for Blitz because that’s the agreement they had or that Blitz can’t understand how someone could care about him or even love him. He blindsided Blitz in full moon and when he got a reaction that wasn’t what he expected he shut Blitz out when he didn’t know how to react and lashed out. This is the closest they’ve gotten to an actual conversation about where they stand.
17:56 One of my favorite gags of the episode. In an animated series where they have done such a good job consistently animating *everything*, a png of a real life plushie being inserted for a couple seconds is comically out of place. 😂
Some fans may have a jealous dislike of that incubus because he interferes with the Stolitz ship, but as a Stolitz supporter myself, I really think they need this break from each other. Until they're ready to start talking about their lives (which they know next to nothing about each other), it'll be good for Stolas to see he can have dating options to explore, while Blitz takes time to sort through his feelings and guilt, thinking about what he needs to do to not be destructive to himself and other people anymore.

I loved this episode, but it bothers me SO MUCH that after an entire season of Stolas blatantly treating Blitz like an object, the narrative bends over backwards to say ONLY BLITZ was responsible for their relationship imploding.
His "Itty bitty Imp/Impish Little Plaything nicknames? His constant dirty talk? Using his Blitzy nickname despite Blitz making it VERY CLEAR he did NOT like it? The infamous moment where he hides his face at Ozzie's? That was all Stolas.
Yes, what Blitz said to him was hurtful, but he only felt the need to say that because Stolas had given him EVERY reason to think that he didn't care about him beyond sex, yet the episode refused to acknowledge that ONCE. It's not only blatant victim blaming, but it completely goes against Stolas' behavior in the last episode where he wanted to give him a choice. He comes off as less as one of many of Blitz's scorned lovers than as acting like a child because he didn't get the answer he wanted to hear and couldn't keep using their dynamic as a crutch to avoid his issues.
As someone who loves this episode to death.....

I feel so much of the misscommunication between these boys has to do with not opening about thier hurts. Blitz thinks he's this mighty rich prince with no problems and is just starting to see he's lonely while Stolas is trying to understand Blitz's walls but I don't think he understand Blitz's self loathing. He essentially starts to tell Stolas while he's drunk but I see takes thinking he will be too blacked out to remember and I am not happy with that if true =( I love Stolitz but affectionally get frustrated I want some communication to stick.
Blitz ghosted veroskia after she said she loved him by ditching her at the motel, stealing her car and spending all her money. She got every right to hate that guy and still has a soft spot for him.
While I do agree that Stolas is blaming himself too much, I do appreciate that he seems to be recognizing that the toxicity of their relationship wasn't _entirely_ on Blitzo

You can't really put it all on Blitz though. Go back and reawatch the entire first season where Stolas was only ever after sex and even talked down to blitz here and there. It wasn't until the tail end of season 1 he actually started pursuing an emotional aspect and not very clearly.
I mean his family literally bought blitz off his father and then Stolas turned him into a sex toy just so Blitz could do his job.
Cut forward to now and even here it is lopsided. Blitz tells Stolas how he only wanted to apologize to him and Stolas responds with he "doesnt want to feel alone" and wants to be somebody's sombody. So in a way Blitz can see himself as still being used just for a different purpose.

This is one of episode that really have a strong emotion and I lovin it. Blitz maybe traumatized, but this episode shows that he still have to face the consequences of his own action.
