cool vid. Its very common for SR20s to snap rocker arms. They cant handle sustained high RPM. Fit some rocker stoppers, best 50 bucks youll ever spend.

Glad to see firends helping out! If you don't already, I highly suggest GReddy, tomei, or ISIS rocker arm stoppers. They are around $80 ($55 for the ISIS brand) and would help prevent walker arm failure during those +7k rev-banging drifts.
+Samuel Ross I have rocker arm stoppers. They just hold them in place, don't really prevent them from breaking.

RIP. Honestly Adam did a great job at drifting this thing and not pinning it (as most beginner "drifters" do) but this was a dedicated drift car so it was inevitable. Good luck on the rebuild mang.

+Sultan Althubaiti get an LS its unbreakable, get an LQ its unbreakable, get a k24 its unbreakable, the formula can be applied to any motor as long as its stock lol. When you start modding a motor is when it gets less reliable, and with the 2jz, not modding it isn't an option. It would be easier to go ka-t or keep the sr, throw a fresh head on it and forge the bottom end, grab a fat snail and go for 450-550hp

Hey, Adam I would recommend finding a solid pair of rocker arm stoppers... The sr20det is notorious for breaking rocker arms due to them flapping around especially at higher revs for an extended amount of time such as from drifting. It is a weak point in the sr20 but easily fixed with the stoppers. It will prevent them from having all that excessive play from the rocker arms.

You have friends that stop by on the way to car meets to get you Rocker arms for your specific arm and I can't even get my mom to bring me chik-fil-a.
Mic sounds better and when you enter do you Hand Brake then push the clutch in a floor the gas then let go of the clutch to get your wheels spinning faster, I Also love the drifting vids as it's something I enjoy learning about and watching all the time.

There are a lot of kits of arm stoppers, just buy one and install it. I had one s13 two years ago with sr. Just a big engineer mistake with arm stoppers at stock.

I know I've seen on mightycarmods that there's some kind of rocker arm stoppers you can get for your sr20det so that doesn't happen. Maybe see if you can get those for it after you fix it?

had same thing happen with my sr, ended up getting all the bits out by using one of those magnets on a stick things like an extendible aerial with a magnet on the end and the rest was in the sump, hope it works out for you!
