    It’s crazy how wemby went to the perfect team. Pop worked with Duncan, Robinson, and has seen other amazing big men throughout his coaching career. He knows how a dynasty works and he knows what he’s doing.

    Avery Johnson was not a standout player but he was a floor general. I do see this as a great opportunity for CP, as it was for Steve Kerr when he played for the Spurs. I hope that CP shows up for summer workouts, rather than a 'celebrity' showing at Summer League in Vegas, then come back when training camp starts.

    For 11 million dollars, I love this. Look at his track record. Everywhere he goes, he made teams WAY better and unlock potentials of every young talent. (Except for Warriors but that's because they're already an old team with experience)

    Subscribed. Where CP3 goes, I go. Hello Spurs fans!
    You got a good one here. From someone who has followed CP3 since his rookie year, Wemby and Castle will greatly benefit from this. I'm seeing Sochan to be more of a Mikal bridges role when he was in PHX. I guess the next thing we need is to get an "enforcer" to the team. Someone that brings toughness.

    We're gonna go from 22 wins to at least 40 if we stay healthy. CP3 is a 'yoda'esque presence to the rest of the team 😂 just having him on the team makes Everyone better

    This 3rd video has huge improvements over the first 2. First 2 were still good but this format is perfect in my opinion. Its funny with the little in-between clips, some metrics (which we all love), and some references to rap to show a little personality.
    And some footage I've never seen, which I love. I dig it. This channel is dope.

    Great video Clan! I do think the problem last year wasn’t that they couldn’t get Wemby the ball…. It’s that they can’t punish the other team for double teaming, clogging passing lanes, sagging off a bad shooter, etc. the team is only as good as the weakest link….. and if a team can punish the team by being bad at something, they will do that! So it’s not about running the offense off of Wemby, or recruiting players that are good at offense, but need help on D. It’s about having 4 players and a bench that are just like him! Smothering defenders, that can shoot, pass and drive! The best thing the spurs can do is forget about role players and just build complete players that PUNISH you for ignoring them. That’s the best way to increase Wemby’s production. It’s the best way to reduce injuries. And it’s the best way to dominate teams like the Nuggets and the other best teams in the west. Boston has already done it, so it can be done.

    Thank you for bringing folks back to reality. For some reason many think we're getting a 2010s or 2020s version of Paul. He's spent a lot of time on the bench nursing injuries, and pop is the king of load management to protect his players.
    I still think Tre Jones plays more minutes than Paul. Depending on the defensive matchup, Blake may play more to keep up with these slashing guards.
    I hope this trade works out and the young guys pick up his good habits, while staying away from his bad habits

  • @gael_letourneur
    @gael_letourneur 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I can't believe anybody would question that move. It seems like genius to me. It's pretty cheap, obviously not a long-term commitment, and with CP3, you get a great PG-someone who can help build your young team, mold the other guards, create plays with and for Wemby, assist with coaching, and even serve as an age-appropriate friend for Pops who can reminisce about the good old days before there were cars and whatnot. Great move, can't wait to see them in action next season.

  • @bloomscenenlp
    @bloomscenenlp 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    I think CP coming to the Spurs will be more of an asset to develop Trae Jones than Castle. He has been a PG his whole career so far, and he has experience working with Wemby and the team. Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to be great for Castle too. But many people are overlooking the value of experience, and Trae has the ability to continue to grow as their primary PG.

      @@2ClutchCee I’m saying Trae been a PG his whole nba career which means he will benefit more from having mentorship from CP because he already has the experience and he isn’t bad at the job. He just isn’t the best because he’s still developing.

  • @ZigbertD
    @ZigbertD 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Wembanyama absolutely needs to be playing alongside of someone with CP3's elite basketball IQ and experience. His development would be impeded and his growth inhibited to only be out there with players who are still developing themselves. He's too good and is improving too fast. The whole team will benefit from Paul's presence on the floor and in the locker room, but Wemby especially. Someone of his level of talent and potential needs to be learning from the best. And yeah, Paul hasn't always been the most likeable guy, but you can never say he doesn't have his teammates' backs. He may be a bit of an a-hole, but now he's OUR a-hole. I think it'll do the team some good to learn how to get mad sometimes and play with a chip on their shoulders.

    While we are all looking at things with a long-term perspective, let's not exclude CP3 from the long ball just yet.
    Perhaps there is more to his signing only a 1year deal...
    Hear me out...
    We all know Paul is all about mentorship...
    This will be his 20th season, and he is 39 years old...
    What if after 1 year, he loves it here? What if he decides to retire a Spur? I'm not sure how many players go beyond 20 years...
    What if the Spurs werr to give him a coaching position? 3 years, let's say... still mentors/coaches...
    Even if Castle doesn't pan out, the Spurs still have guards/young players that can benefit from his tutelage..
    What if after Pop's contract is up, he retires(he will be,like 100) and Paul takes over as head coach? CP3 might be all that? Timmy loves the guy, too...
    Future Proofing?
    Just spit-balling...
    Great vid, loving the cohesiveness of the new channel! Keep it coming!

    This don t take a genius as a gm to see this trade is a good thing i dream about it since 6 months, spurs needed a point guard, they could get it by the draft but we all know since a year that the draft will not be crazy no one will be Nba ready , the alien have 10 year of domination in coming and a year deal max why would an organization would sacrifice the futur for a window now ? (like for trae young for example, in the other side warriors spent too much in salary , they did not get to what they expected by bringing Cp with his big salary, he is the point god, the conductor of lob city , we spent all year seeing free bucket that victor could get with an easy pass, we need a point guard, someone that can do the transition to the point when we have someone who can take over at this position without sacrificing the futur , a mentor for the young players not exploiting they own potential and Cp was too much at the warrior, i couldn t see ANY more obvious trade in the league i ve ever wonder why no one in the media did t mention what cp could bring them after saying "oh god they don t give Vic the ball when he is open" if i was in the nba media i would have beg the spurs to consider the cp option and trashtalk everyone even mentionning the idea to bring trae young there since december, even before when Pop had the Sochan experiment
