The stock supercharger was ported, meaning the area where the air flows through the bottom of the supercharger was made larger. This in turn allows more air to flow into the engine, increasing power.
No trouble, the CAI is a JLT Ram Air Intake, a 2.76 upper only with Billetflow idler kit, Posi Performance ported eaton, Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump, NGK spark plugs, Borla Stingers w/ UPR offroad x and a custom tune...I think that covers the performance mods if my memory serves me correct.

Given the power gains that you get from it and how much it costs, some would argue that it's more cost effective to spend the $2-3k for a tvs where your potential power gain is much much higher simply because the newer design allows for higher heat efficiency
I've heard of several stages of the port work on the Eaton blower? For this particular setup how much boost was it running? It seems like it was still on low boost, another 4.6 L Cobra motor was at a shop doing some testing came in as a crate motor remove the blower put a 01 Cobra intake on it still ran pump 93 put a cam in it made 425hp , I was kind of curious to see what the stock blower still would have done, the shop went all out and put twins turbski's 57 mm still on stock block nothing else touched but the injectors test it on some race gas made 996 horsepower, pushing 20 lb of boost believe that was at the limit, the testings were always done in a with pump 93 and all the boosted stuff was done with race gas. Borla attack to me sounds so good no we just got to throw some cams in there no
They are prone to heat soak, even moreso if not ported. Maybe a little power loss after a couple WOT pulls, but I don't notice it too much mainly because I don't race it. I'm sure I would notice more if I ever took it to the track.

You don't need a lower pulley, however, I will add one eventually as it will bring up the torque. The supporting mods are a MAFia, Kenne Bell BAP with wire upgrade, NGK spark plugs, and a Billetflow 4 pulley idler kit. I think that's all of the supporting mods off the top of my head.
I made 510rwhp/483tq. I have a kenne bell BAP, MAFia, JLT RAI, billetflow idlers, 2.76 upper, borla stinger cat back, offroad x, and I think that's about everything off the top of my head.

Cool, thanks for the info. I like the LSX stuff, I found a nice 03 Cobra for 19 that had alot of parts on it. All supporting mods with a ported stock blower. I also most bought it but I don't know much about the mod motor stuff so I passed on it and just decided to build a turbo set-up on my Camaro.
