    My version of ResearchIR is working fine but the Statistics Viewer is not active. All the boxes for any size or shape ROI displays an "N/A" or "-" Any suggestions? Thanks

    Hi, great tutorial! I do have a question. Is it possible to export only the data of the regions of interest over time in CSV? Thank you so much in advance!

      Yes that is possible - see the section of the video starting at 02:09 where Joel goes over the Regions of interest tool. When you open up the statistics viewer for the selected region, you will see options at the bottom left of the stats window to save the data.

    Great Tutorial! I have a question referring to plotting. I have a thermal image like yours and used the "square ROI". Now i want to export the image in a CSV file to plot a 3D diagram of the different parameters. the measurement data over time and the same measurement data over the pixel. Do you have an idea how to approach this? Thank you!

    Hello, this is such a nice tutorial, thanks for producing this kind of content!
    I collect some live data from my camera through the ResearchIR, exporting the plot files, but now I am trying to process this data automatically with a python code. Is it possible to acquire the camera live data through ResearchIR? Like setting some cursor points in the screen and getting their values? The data acquisition frequency is 1 second and it's set by my code. Thanks!

      @TEquipment  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! You may be able to find the answer in the ResearchIR user manual as it shows how to plot cursor points and more: assets.tequipment.net/assets/1/26/FLIR_ResearchIR_User_Manual.pdf
      Hope this helps!

    Is infrared detection of burial sites or underground cavities possible? Which camera would you recommend for this?
    Thank you.

    • @TEquipment
      @TEquipment  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      An application like this would not be a great choice for thermal imaging because the temperature differential between the ground/soil and burial or cavity would likely not be very significant. Plus, thermal imaging cannot penetrate very deeply into something as solid as hard packed dirt. For this, we would recommend some kind of ground penetrating radar. Feel free to call us with any further questions: (877) 571-7901

    Is there a way to take an average temperature reading of a specific range of interest that excludes certain temperature values? For example only taking an average temperature for pixels >10 C to obtain an average of something that has an object obstructing the view partially?

    • @TEquipment
      @TEquipment  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, if you look at the user manual at pages 51 and 52 you can see how to use the Camera Control Toolbox and Segmentation Toolbox to control and define temperature ranges: assets.tequipment.net/assets/1/26/FLIR_ResearchIR_User_Manual.pdf
      We hope this helps!

    hello, i’ve been using research studio to analyze some images but need to know what time the images were taken. I have accessed the time stamp in the metadata but I am unsure how to read it. Is there a way to know what time an image was taken within the software?

    • @TEquipment
      @TEquipment  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, we are unsure of how to best read the metadata, your best bet would be to contact FLIR directly to see if there is another way to access the timestamps. You can reach them here: www.flir.com/support/
      We're sorry we couldn't be more help!

    Under Camera -> Control, there is different calibrations : What is the difference between them apart from the temperature scale. What does FOL means? How should I choose it.

    Does this work with the thermal camera on the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced? (DJI has a proprietary format for their thermal images)

    • @TEquipment
      @TEquipment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! The FLIR ResearchIR was made to work with FLIR thermal devices, but may work with cameras that meet this minimum hardware/software requirement:
      OS: Windows7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
      Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz or faster
      RAM: at least 2GB
      Hard Disk Free Space: 1GB (free space)
      Network Adapter: Gigabit Ethernet
      USB: One USB 1.1 (or higher) port for the license dongle, USB 2.0 required for cameras
      that support USB video.
      We would suggest downloading a free trial to see if it would be compatible with your DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced or by contacting the vendor directly to confirm.

    how to use a premade ROI (polygon) for multiple sequences in Research Studio 4? If I save it in camera in the workspace it is only visible in the live image, not in the record file 🤔

    • @TEquipment
      @TEquipment  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! You should be able to draw a polygon using the Polygon ROI under the Analysis toolbar. Then make sure to save the ROI/image and use the Output field when exporting to ensure the desired ROI info is exported along with the image. You can refer to the user manual here to guide you in this process: bit.ly/3EPWHWL
      You can also contact FLIR Support directly for further assistance here: flir.com/support

    • @s1ngularityxd64
      @s1ngularityxd64 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TEquipment thank you very much for your support. My goal is to reuse a polygon for multiple sequences in order to find deviations between them. But I did not found a way to save this polygon independently. It seems the analysis tools are link to the sequence not directly to the workspace.
