The galveston island historic pleasure pier also has some sister attractions featured in this video the 5d theater ride and rainforest river ride at the rainforest cafe.

It looks to be a well maintained boardwalk park! It’s probably a top 10 pier and I would love to visit someday!
My plan is to come here after a day at Schlitterbahn and go one a few rides like the Iron Shark, the Texas Star Flyer and Pirates Plunge. It may feel a little pricey since admission into the piere is required as well but the fact that they're all over the water makes it worth while.
This was a great video! I was looking for a hotel before my cruise , saw this pier in the background photos and decided to come to TH-cam to look it up! This video just gave us something to do for the 2 days before we cruise out of Galveston!

Interesting on the pricing. The only thing I remember about the pier when j was there was that the walk in fee was WAAAY more expensive (~$16) and it seemed like there was maybe 30 people there at peak season.

I'm from Grand Cayman and saw of Galveston Pier back in 2019 and was so caught up I didn't get to go, 2020 came and March I was planning to go but then Covid-19 came, and then my island went into lockdown😆 Imma visit there for sure

Landry's also has the houston downtown aquarium and i know when there is spring break you can buy a pass for the wk to all three pleasure pier,aquarium and the kemah board walk. Oh do you guys use city pass when you hit up the cities that it has???
We did while we were in Houston. Whether or not we buy one tends to be based on how long we are there and what is offered.

i went to pleasure pier as part of my vacation in 2020 it was great we ate at a burger place called nick's since that's short for my name

I remember this was destroyed after hurricane Ike.I'm glad to see it has been rebuilt and updated.
It wasn’t even a boardwalk park before the Hurricane, it was a hotel😂😂
It was a hotel called the flagship and a fishing pier towards the end of the pier were lots of great fishing took place in my opinion it was the greatest fishing spot ever
@@waterdown1826 the pier in Surfside beach about 10-15 miles from this pier has amazing fishing as well. It’s just a straight shot down the Blue Water highways and you’re there. You can walk about a mile down the pier to the end where you can catch massive fish pretty easily
can you do moody gardens next? This is another place down in Galveston as well
