I'm admittedly bummed that I didn't go with my gut instinct & buy bitcoin few months back when it was 20k - 25k range. is it too late to get in and make profits? i have set aside $150k to get fully invested this year

It's not, in my opinion. Bitcoin becomes the new bottom once it surpasses its all-time high. Any purchase under $69k is wise. Working with a fiduciary advisor is still advised rather than depending just on conjecture.

The only issue you might have is the fear of missing out, just like everyone else. A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $400K in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

Market highs can sometimes be followed by corrections, but predicting the timing and extent of it is challenging. I've heard some analysts talk about a 'massive' correction. It makes me wonder if it's time to adjust my $2M portfolios or maybe even consider some defensive investments.

the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.

Even with the right strategies and appropriate assets, investment returns can differ among investors. Recognizing the vital role of experience in investment success is crucial. Personally, I understood this significance and sought guidance from a market analyst, significantly growing my account to nearly a million. Strategically withdrawing profits just before the market correction, I'm now seizing buying opportunities once again.

As a newbie about to invest, you must have these four things in mind
    1. Have a long term mindset.
    2. Be willing to take risk.
    3. Be careful on money usage, if you're not spending to earn back, then stop spending.
    4. Never claim to know - Ask questions and it's best you work with a financial advise like Ryan Donald.....

Cathie forgot to mention that passive S&P index investing has better returns than 96% of active managers and the fees are tiny in comparison as well. People figured that out and they became very popular.

Yes, only speaking on her ARK ETF vs. S&P 500 Vanguard ETF over the last 5 years, her ETF went up 8% and the Vanguard 500 ETF went up 44%. Her ETF expense ratio is 0.7% and Vanguard 500 ETF is 0.01%. She talks about other managers and their high fees (0.7% is huge). Correct me if I am wrong on the numbers. No doubt she and Peter are correct about the very near future and the giant historical changes that are coming like a freight train barreling down the tracks...

Kathy will have her day with her focused approach. The disruptive technology will create an even bigger gap between those few companies and the rest. I predict the index approach will greatly under perform in the future. Unless it's an index disruptive technology fund:)

she tho, has more balls to go out and put her name up for it. This argument someone made: while her investors were loosing she is getting mills from fees, i was like yes... true, not perfect i guess, but thats another problem. she is saying here: lets get our money on the "right" side of change, she finds proofs tries her best, lets assume at least. educate and try to prove it - can you prove her wrong? by going out and doing better? i dont give a f for the index - i want cancer to get funded or mental health... i did and got pummeled :) so... whats up with the m f free markets? My friend and I almost died from overlapping waves crashing into some rocks underneath a rock ledge my friend and I were standing on at the base of an ocean cliff…continuity bias is a very dangerous thing…we were enjoying the ocean spray hitting us as even the biggest (so we believed) of the waves were only hitting the rocks below us which at first we thought was risky but as they all seemed to be doing the same thing for so long it was at the point that we lost any fear when two of the bigger sized waves came in close to each other but the second one came in faster than the first until they both converged right before they hit the rocks below us, but the combined effect was that the spray didn’t just hit us, the combined waves rose up into one really big one and were hit by the whole giant wave directly, and the even though we locked in our hands and feet as we saw it about to hit us, the force of the wave drove the water not just into us but also further up the cliff wall which lifted my feet up off the ledge so my body was at right angles to cliff, then the worst part was the accelerating gravity of the water rushing back down the cliff face pulled my friend off the rocks and by the time the water has past me I had only just managed to hang on with one bloodied cut up hand and was still able to run all the way back around the cliff and along the beach to tell the life guards who went out in an inflatable boat to rescue him from the ocean…
Key lesson…nature will try to kill you right when you lose respect for its dangers almost like it is an offended living thing that demands respect…and also beware of exponential waves that combine together

The reason people aren't optimistic about the future despite the breakneck speed of technological progress is not due to misguided education. It is because technology creates abundance. And abundance negates scarcity and difficulty. And scarcity and struggle create meaning.
Remember being excited to hear a song on the radio? That's because you couldn't hear anything you wanted whenever you wanted.
Remember waiting with anticipation for a show to come on. That's because you couldn't watch everything on demand.
Remember activity meaning to your rare possessions. That was before Amazon made all goods essentially transitory.
Technology has made life easy but people derive meaning from hard experiences and rare things.
Remember when catching up with as friend was genuinely exciting? That was before texting and social media made catching up obsolete. What's the point of you already know what's been going on.
Unless you're working in tech, the unintended consequence of the tech boom is that people's lives have become mostly vacuous comfort acquisition.
The irony of this is that when life extension becomes available, most people's lives won't be worth extending.

Its the high cost of living and lack of high paying (mentally engaging) jobs to match. Destruction of the environment. Social isolation because of tech, high health care costs in the US. A society that doesn't emphasize physical movement as important as mental. I cant ride a bike anywhere without fearing for my life so have to go to a gym once a day. Thats still not enough to offset sitting. Lack of quality food. Why do vegetables now have 1/20th the nutrients they used to? Why is every other commercial an advertisement for a drug? The list goes on. Most normies are brainwashed and will be too complacent to rise up against the elites as long as they can get their dopamine hits from buying shit off Amazon and scrolling social media.

We are living in the greatest era in all of human history and most of you are oblivious to how lucky you are. You are scared by media “doom & gloom” stories yet unappreciative of how easy your lives are compared to the past generations. You all literally have an extraordinary piece of power in your hand yet you use your phone to scroll doom & gloom while ignoring how awesome it is to have running water, heating & AC, a refrigerator, a microwave, cars, home deliveries, cheap clothing, public transportation, drive thrus and grocery stores, endless books and movies…etc and none of those things i listed existed a few generations ago. Stop comparing yourself to people inline and be happy you dont have to work in hot cotton fields or dangerous coal mines like our ancestors did.

Everyone talks bout etherium - my computer science thesis was on the effects of post quantum
Cryptography on the bitcoin blockchain- I can tell you ethereum doesn’t have the same security as bitcoin’s math based. Not saying ethereum is bad - just know this: the bitcoin blockchain would still be secure even from post quantum attacks IF and ONLY IF the core code is executed . However the difference is that the size of the post quantum crypto keys would take up the majority of the block so there would be much fewer transactions per each block, which makes it suddenly less costly in fact likely more costly, than the bank fees. Let THAT sink in.

    • @elsavelaz
      @elsavelaz 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

That’s of course unless AI develops a new math (which I think it already has for reasons hard to describe on a post in a TH-cam video). In a nutshell, all our math is based on “straight lines”, that’s why it’s hard to envision hyperparameters in data Sci machine learning stuff . But the new math - it’s like … particles … that have like … method to the madness behind them. I know that sounds crazy and silly, but I also was to be a crypto in the navy (didn’t end up doing that though), but then at age 40 or so second career, did my internship at Seagate about post quantum crypto as it aligned with my thesis . It’s like vector databases- you don’t have to find the solution to a rubix cube by turning the labels in one big algorithm cuz there’s a way to know a different like… location… inside the cube, that goes beyond 3D. For a living, I’m
An artificial intelligence integrated specialist and so… I’m speaking professionally . Why on here? Cuz this audience gets crypto

This is 85-year-old Grandpa (Blogger). This way of selling has always worked for me:
When my investment (or gamble) has doubled, I sell half. Then I stay in the game with the casino's money. If it doubles again, I do the same again and again. In 60 years of experience, all my investments (or gambles) have eventually, always dropped significantly or even become worthless. But as I cashed out along the way & bought well-located income property in various countries with profits, I was able to retire comfortably-- long ago. Most of my gambles never doubled, but the few that went crazy like Bitcoin recently and gold (long ago) made me comfortably rich. The definition of a Ponzi scheme is when an investment in "something" can only be cashed out with money from new investors. So is all this crypto one big Ponzi? Well, you tell me!
