EDIT: as of 03/28/2024 the PPG set is available for pre-order for $59.99. Seems a bit high. Looks like I am wrong. I guess Warner Archive is re-releasing this according to this X thread. twitter.com/JasonSt77097165/status/1772795088554570025 I think the Dexter's Lab set is still standard WB though. But I have heard rumors from some folks that WA may be doing a Blu-Ray in addition to WB's standard DVD release. That's just rumor but it's possible.
@@joseanimates1269 Yeah, because they're scalpers. A brand new DVD set in 2024 like this, should only be like $30. It's not Blu-Ray. If it was Blu-Ray, I could justify $60.
Does dvd R play on regular blu ray players cuz my foster's home sesson 3 plays fine but amazon rugrats season 4 judt keeps saying this version of the dvd cannot be played on this licensed blu ray player
Holy crap I think I might double dip I should've waited instead of buying It secondhand anyhow Its good to have an extra copy If I do I'll keep this new one unopened and the original one I'll use mostly and maybe the movie too although the DVD transfer is already amazing in my opinion but what the heck
@@brett6626 I'm not super knowledgeable on that tbh. But I'd guess it's mostly up to the manufacturer and just making sure you store in room temperature/cool, dry spaces.
You should pick up the Fosters Home set if you love the show. When it comes to physical media something is better than nothing. It even has the movie Destination Imagination. I think that 40 bucks for Fosters is reasonable. I've seen more expensive sets.
Me too. We'll see about the rumor of Dexter's Lab actually getting a Blu-Ray, but even if that's not true, Cow and Chicken in my mind has a chance because they already did a HD scan of it years ago. I don't know about Dexter's or PPG though.
@@EntertainmentKornernah everyone is receiving it like that now that some end up ranting about it and returning even though its not a big deal neither are the stack disc though i admit i don't like them at times like with the 87 tmnt set if its a single stack they're better than putting too many disc on top of each other making it painful to get out or get scratched at times and atleast we don't have to flip the disc to watch part 2 this time and everything from the last set is present someone even said a censored thing is uncensored now they pretty much changed it from being a dvd r last min
@EntertainmentKorner I do dump everything to a plex server so I could dump the episodes and just never touch the dvds again but I do enjoy watching these old cartoons on my crt so it's a pickle situation I'll decide on the price if it's 45 at most maybe
@@thetoythief8940 Yeah I can't justify spending more than like $10 for dogshit packaging. They should just be doing it right the first time. More collectors will be pleased and more willing to purchase their stuff. I would probably double dip if it had good, new art and beautiful discs, packaged nicely to keep the disc safe. But that's seemingly just a boutique label thing. And unfortunately cartoons don't usually get botique releases. Gravity Falls is one of the few exceptions and that set was BEAUTIFUL.
@@thetoythief8940 Well because at least physically it's yours. But, I agree, shit products get you shit profits. And then they turn around and use that as an excuse not to continue releasing things. Excuse me for having standards.

I will be buying it for my mom because it's one of the few cartoons she feels the need to own.
I haven't heard anything about a complete series set of Dexter's Lab. Is there an official statement?
Not official official but there's a listing on a website. I have a video up about it. If you go to my videos tab you should be able to see it.
I’m just happy I don’t have to worry about my old ppgs box set getting worn out.
Yeah, I heard the OG set was apart of the years where there were manufacturing issues which led to many discs rotting.
@@EntertainmentKorner I’ve heard about that, is there any way to prevent disk rot?

Is this DVD box set a USA version?
yes
I honestly want the Cow & Chicken & Grim & Evil franchises to be released by Warner Archive since they do great releases.
