    Excellent video! Thank you.
You explained many of the acronyms that other videos assume the viewer is actually acquainted with. This was/is a major obstruction to my understanding how Winlink works and how to apply it to my needs. I can now use this as part of my foundation to build a system for post disaster communications. Again - excellent video and Thank You.

Love the video. It’s well organized and well said. You have a great voice for this.
You helped teach me a lot here for sure.
I host a TH-cam channel that helps to encourage people to come in to ham radio as well as those in ham radio to learn about various modes that we can use our radios with.
I’d love to use this video for a show that we can do a Winlink segment on.
I’ll make sure to credit your channel, as well as put a link to it in the description section.
Thank you for taking the time to do this video. It helps increase the knowledge of all of us in ham radio. The fact it is done so well and can be understood by the novice ham, only makes it that much more special.
Thank you so much for the time you took to make it! Well done!

Great overview, Rick. I am a Technician getting ready to take my General. Are there any recommendations on what to do if there are no RMS gateways on 10 meter HF or anything on VHF/UHF? I am trying to set up emergency communications for the use case in which the Internet in my local area is not available. Thanks again. 73, Gaston KT1RUN

Bravo Kevin... technically you are correct on both counts! I chose, however, not to make the distinction between internal and external Winlink email addressing/routing to help with conveying the general concepts to those TOTALLY unfamiliar with the Winlink system. I do teach our newbie emcomm folks to allow //WL2K to be automatically added by RMSE so that in a true emergency op... it will then likely be there for external (RE://WL2K) emails coming back thru the system. One less thing to screw up. Thanks for the clarity. Let me know if you notice anything else in any of my videos. (Email me direct at k4ref@winlink.org .... well, unless you need to drop the @winlink.org. ;oD)

Great and very clear all the video contents, thanks for that

2busy4play... the BEST way to answer your question is for you to watch my Winlink: RMS Express Training Series. The first two videos will explain the hardware/config for usage. However, the minimum would be a PC, a sound interface (Signalink) and a ham radio.

Hello, Rick! Thanks much for this excellent intro overview. There is some confusion in our local group over the modes, and it would be very helpful to have your slide deck -- would you consider sharing it? Thanks either way! 73, Deb KF6EIY

thanks for the comment. I don't give out my Power Points (slides). hopefully having them watch the video series will clear things up for them. of course, operational experience is always the best teacher. all the best!

One of my old calls was N9ENK. When my son passed away at 15 my worth fell apart and I threw away of my ham cards, 300 countries, 5 band was and so many other things. I can find no one that has my old call. Is there any way to help me so i can get started at 300 DXCC instead of zero.........Thank you for any help....Dennis W9DM
