Great content so interesting.. I live in Dublin it's so expensive rent for 1 bedroom apartment is 1500 to 1750 euros to rent.. It is basic.. Food has got so expensive. Weather here is bad for farming as rain there's to much so there is a huge shortage of potatoes this year.. Brexit hasn't helped England nor Ireland either.. Also to have a beer in Dublin hot-spot you pay 10 euro for a pint it's a tourist trap. Other places in countryside you can pay 6 euro or maybe cheaper if your lucky.. Food looks great there as its home produced much better.. 😊
Prices went up in Russia too, but it is almost nothing in comparison to how prices skyrocketed in other countries ( lately we visited some countries that we had already visited before and noticed that we couldn’t afford things that we could have afford couples years ago)
Hi! There are foreigners especially in Moscow! My Québécois boyfriend was living in Russia for 7 months (might ask him to participate in a video and tell about his struggles in Russia and with a Russian language 😅) we lived in a little town 99km from the capital. My boyfriend already knew some Russian but it still was a struggle for him to live in a Russian speaking environment. Though settle in can be easy if you have a russian speaking person helping you. (My classmate from the university had a part-time job helping English speaking foreigners settle in Moscow) so this kind of service can be available for you to help you settle in - rent something long term and get a bank account and ect
Straight talk - is $4kUSD/month going to pay for high style living in Moscow? I been working for 45 years in Canada and am tired of pinching pennies and looking for sale prices on expired food items.
PS - I'm a simple man who takes no value in material goods, but want a 2 bed apt or home, and the basics like good internet, food, easy and readily available transportation. I want to be able to buy my friends and family a fancy meal sometimes.
$4k is 365.000 rubles which is good money for Russia! So, you can live a comfortable life in Moscow with this money! Check this one to learn rental prices in Moscow if interested 👇🏻 th-cam.com/video/1Hb03EDRhLM/w-d-xo.html

You need to look for an apartment with registration. Foreigners coming to Russia must register with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In hotels, this is done automatically, and apartment owners can do it, or they may not, it doesn't seem to cost money, but it costs time, so it depends only on the desire of the apartment owner. We need to look for those apartment owners who do this.
It depends , in my city (90km from Moscow) prices start from 2.5 million rubles for a relatively small studio, 1-bedroom apartment would be around 4 million (Moscow is twice as expensive) I might make a video about it 😌, viewers have been asking about it a lot
Hi, Well, sometimes it is, but you can get a realtor and he/she will settle things for you (I have a friend from US who lived in Moscow for almost 6 years, he didn’t have problems renting but he also spoke perfect Russian) Some rental posts specify that landlords only accept slovic applicants though

The direct comparison is kinda foolish. Purchasing power parity should be taken into consideration. For instance, my salary is about 150 thousand roubles (approx 1670 usd) . I pay 70 usd/month for my apt in winter. (3 room apt, 75 square meters) It includes all the utility services such as electricity, water, heating, internet (unlimited 100mbit 5usd/month) etc... And I pay 35 usd/month when no heating is needed. I pay 5 usd/month for my cell phone (1500min, unlimited internet) so my 1670 usd here in Russia have way more purchasing capability than in US or Canada...

It's not the cost of living that would bother me, its the complete lack of real freedom and that the police can come and arrest you for putting flowers on the wrong grave. A Russian woman from LA who went back to visit her parents was arrested for having donated $51 to a Ukrainian charity at one point. She still sits in a Russian jail. THAT is what would bother me. What a country.
