    Sir, I have a question. After absorption of energy by ground state atoms, they will go to the excited state and will again come back to their ground state. In this cycle, they will emit their own spectra. *Won't that emitted spectra interfere with the reduced incident intensity?"

    sir if we already know the analyte like sodium present in sample on the basis of which we are selecting the particular wavelength then why are we using this technique if we already know the element present in the sample.

      For detection of an atom we throw a full spectrum of light and the detector senses the missing wavelength, which is specific for a atom.

    sorry to say but i think ur principle explanation at time 3.30 min is wrong(i may) i belive we are measuring absorbance or transmittance in ground state. when we are exciting the sample using light from HCL it is going from ground state to excited state so during this period of time only the amount of energy needed to excite the molecule is absorbed by the specific metal and the transmittance light is recorded simmilar priciple as UVVIS. As the energy needed to excite each atom is different so its the characteristic of each metal. untill they get that amount of energy they will not excite, this is my explantion what you say sir??
