Look, i'll say it fo you. I have used african black soap my entire life, whenever i had a nasty eczema flare up i use it and it settles down, i also use it wheneer i have a crazy acne flareup, never used a acne product.
hiya, I'm Ghanaian and I follow you. I find it exhilarating that you are supporting our women in the rural areas through your channel. thank you Anne-Marie.
If you dissolve the African black soap first in very warm distilled water, then add it to the rebatch, it will work out a little better. ABS dissolves beautifully in warm/hottish water.
I love that ✨Bramble berry✨ is elevating African Black soap, Ghana & women business. Our family has used African Black soap for rashes & it’s amazing & it’s so strong I love that Bramble Berry diluted it to a conducive formula easier to use because ABS is very powerful. ✨
Kudos for supporting women cooperatives 💗. I've been using African Black Soap exclusively on my skin for 5 years and I swear by it. Over the years, I've recommended it to so many people from adults struggling with eczema and mothers whose babies have a rash. I love that you can use it as shampoo, face and body soap.
VERY new soap "maker" here! I just rebatched some of my favorite African black soap yesterday (an awesome turmeric and oatmeal blend) by adding rice water and a little extra mango butter--I'm planning on using it as a shampoo bar. I was nervous about the amount of water I had to add to get the soap malleable, as well as the fact that the soap is still soft after 24 hours (some sites claimed that was enough for rebatching). Watching this video (and hearing that it will take 4 - 7 days in the mold alone!) was extremely comforting and reassuring! I'll be good and leave the soap alone for another week.🤞🏽Thank you for sharing!
African black soap can be very drying so you'll need a very good moisturiser afterward Melting black soap, DO NOT leave it will bubble over very quickly. ALWAYS use a bigger pot The soap has a squeaky clean feel afterward Add water a little at a time, it might not melt but the bubble will go over if you don't watch it Use medium heat
I use lavender & tea tree oils in my foot body butter. Can’t wait to make rebatch, I have a septic system & had resigned myself to never making cold process soap. Then I discovered this on the website 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Thanks!
Those are beautiful I have been doing melt and pour for awhile but I've been wanting to try cold process I just don't want to do the whole lye thing I'm happy I found this product so I can now make something like cold process ☺️
I like Kimberly’s response about adding water to the crumbles first and I am considering the idea of reducing the crumble size prior to working with it. Since it is already soap once reduced it should work well in MP soap … Let me know what you think … Making this up as I go along👩🏽
Love this idea. I get whole blocks of the Black soap and make other products from it namely shampoo. But I didn't think to melt it into another bar since its sooo good on its own. Im going to have to try this method. Great job.
So the SAP value for the ABS premix is the same as it was previously and the 5% ABS is like a superfat. I’m confused. Lol I love African Black Soap. It is keeping my maskne at bay.
Does the soap need to cure before rebatching? If you skipped something in your soap production and need to add it through rebatching, do you need to allow the soap cure completely first?
Question🙋♀️ why does this need 4-7 days of cure(?) time before unmolding when it's technically already soap, whereas cold process freshly made only need max 72hrs (from what I've gathered) before it can be popped out?
Hello, this is satisfying. I made a soap that crumbles, i guess the quantity of oil i added was short of whats on the recipe. Its almost 4 weeks i made it and now, i want to rebatch which is the reason i searched for a rebatch video on your channel and now seeing this..... Im thinking of adding the oil i skipped in my rebatch while using this African black soap. What to do think?
If your soap has already been saponified there is no way to add additional oil to the recipe and fix it. You can absolutely do rebatch with your soap, but if what you have is drying or irritating to the skin we would recommend starting from scratch.
Oh, what do I do with the soap then? I don't like the fact that it crumbles . I haven't used it to know if it irritates the skin. It's my first soap ever, made from your video on soap making for beginners. I didn't get the quantity of the olive oil correctly hence the oil was short. I am planning to do a rebatch to add the missing oil but you said I can't add oil in the rebatch. What do you advise I do with the soap please?
Dear Anne-Marie, thanks for ur great videos and I have also all of your books! They are just amazing. Short question: It means, if I want to have a rebatch soap base, I can make my own, normal cold process soap , cure 4-6 weeks as usually and after use as a rebatch soap?

We have a wonderful article that discusses the pros and cons of each soap making method, it can be found here: www.brambleberry.com/tips-and-tricks/soap/art0007-pro-con-soapmaking-methods.html
It's similar, but rebatch uses scraps of cold process soaps and you melt them down slowly with added water rather than using a soap base with added glycerin designed to melt easily.
This recipe is specifically designed for rebatch soap, the closest cold process recipe would be the African Black Soap Kit, here's the link: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/kits/soap-making/african-black-soap-kit/V700067.html

How to use the pre oil package for African black soap
That i purchased from branberry. Please send instructions. Thank you rebecca
It's possible to use melt and pour to recreate this?
Does the soap need to cure before rebatching? If you skipped something in your soap production and need to add it through rebatching, do you need to allow the soap cure completely first?
We recommend waiting 2-3 days before rebatching the soap, just so you can shred or cut it into smaller pieces for easier melting.
Question🙋♀️ why does this need 4-7 days of cure(?) time before unmolding when it's technically already soap, whereas cold process freshly made only need max 72hrs (from what I've gathered) before it can be popped out?
The extra moisture from the added water can leave the soap a little soft, so we like to let it dry a little more before cutting.
Where can I purchase African black soap crumbles
Can you use a melt and pour base with the African Black Soap?
We haven't tested them together but if you give it a try, we'd love to hear how it goes!

Can you speed up the process of evaporation to cure it in less time with a dehumidifier
Can this be done with melt & pour?
So rebatch is the MP of CP with a few more steps.

Can you use the re-batch with melt and pour?
Rebatch is remelting cold process soap. MP doesn't need to be rebatch as you are simple melting it.
I wish Bramble Berry would sell Castile rebatch (100% olive oil).
So, is this only good for rebatch soap?
i made a recipe but the soap seems to be drying why

I think potash made of ash is not sodium hydroxide but potassium hydroxide. Potash - potassium.
Why rebatching? African Black soap is perfect the way it is. Selling crumbles is silly
This is not the same like the Original African black soap. This is No for me!
