I love that they didn't do the stereotypical "I want kids of my own" with Fran. Like Max's kids are her kids, but her main concern is that she didn't get to experience their first big milestones, not that they weren't her blood.
She cares for them and that’s great. They are not her children though.
@@BlueRazor69 they really are there. Biology doesn’t make someone ones children. Fran considers all five of them her kids.

She calls them her kids and “my son” and “my daughters” after they’re engaged! They’re fully her family. Even in the 90’s when they missed a lot of these sort of points, they really nailed the “blended family, family isn’t just biological” thing here.
Love Max and Fran together ! They were the couple to really love. Love the Nanny greatest show of all time !♥️♥️♥️

What hurts me about this scene, is the fact how it's like in real life. Fran, 8n real life, can't have children and even though she always looks happy and cheerful, and shows that she’s not bothered, I know, deep down, there are maybe days when she probably cries thinking about this. She would have been an EXCELLENT fun loving caring mother.
Don't forget she wasted 18 years married to a man who turned out to be gay and wasted her youth!

@@Leelz247 It would have been better for her if she found out about her ex’s preference sooner. I mean I get it may not have been easy on him either. The whole situation just sucks for both people
@@Leelz247 I half agree- to me as a non straight woman it seemed very selfish on his part. She was his "cover" and he wasted 18 years of her youth on a sham one-sided marriage.
She is a much stronger person mentally than I am, I wouldn't have been able to bounce back after loosing that much time.
@@ComaLies225 it was around 2008 not 1988 he could have just lived his life as a gay man without being selfish and wasting her time.
Love Fran and Max they are so cute together. I love how they sort things out together. ❤ I am so glad that they talk about things
I wish The Nanny had a blu-ray version, but I treasure my complete collection dvds. Whenever I'm down I put on an episode and always feel better watching it.
She still has the best family ever.
In real life, being with a man like Maxwell is a terrible idea... He's so afraid of commitment, he takes Fran for granted, he's jealous (and put obstacles) when she wants to be happy with another man but doesn't pursue a relationship with her, he treats her as a child many times, he has a bad temper and even chases her over the house when she makes some mistake... In the series, he doesn't go further than that, of course... But in real life, those are early signs of a relationship that inevitably will have more serious issues later 😕

@@AnnelisR I agree, Maxwell is an uptight coward who has extreme commitment issues, and and loses his temper at Fran and chases her whenever she makes minor mistakes. Fran deserves a lot better than be with Maxwell, but I guess they want to glamorize toxic relationships in television.
Here’s an idea. If the show is such an issue for you and you don’t like the main relationship or the main male character. DON’T WATCH IT!!
@@ambersmith1394She was no great catch either. She was a vain, shallow, stupid and incredibly materialistic gold digger. She also ruined a lot of business for Maxwell. I wish people would see things from both angles.
The fact that Fran in real life never had the chance to experience motherhood makes this scene heartbreaking 💔 😢

@@pinkcookie26 We all loved Nanny Fine for her funny antics, naiveté, half-wit and semi-literacy, and competing with CC for Maxwell's attention. When she got married and started acting classy and refined, a fitting wife for Mr Sheffield, it did take the "shine" off the character. The nanny had now morphed into Lady Sheffield, the Fran-CC rivalry was gone, and the Fran-Maxwell tension was also gone.
