I've been a budget phone user for 6 years now and I'm currently using the Samsung Galaxy A10e which came out in the middle of 2019. Honestly I've been pleasantly surprised by the A10e, it's lasted me 3 years now and the battery is only starting to randomly lose charge. The only reason I'm hesitant to get the A13 is because I'm not a fan of big screens and 6x3 inches is pushing it.
Mad respect to you matthew, people nowadays would rather sell their kidneys just to get the updated iphone or other brand phones but you stick to your old phone to the very end. I've always liked Samsung as a company But removing chargers in the box including budget devices? This type of companies specially Apple shouldn't be supported. It's because people support these type of companies that's why they do such things and push their luck and profits
Even they removed, people will stupid enough to buy. Samsung and apple know their customer is stupid. I am glad to move out from Samsung, greedy companies have no limit until they learn the lesson.
For those people complaining the a13 is not that bad, make sure you specify which variant. Because the 5G version essentially is a different phone. As pointed out in the video it has a different chipset. It also has a different screen. ( Lower resolution but higher refresh rate.) Cameras may also be a little bit different.
People are so entitled these days. Expecting a premium experience on a really cheap phone. You get what you pay for. You pay for a a budget phone expect a budget experience. You pay for an expensive phone, expect a premium feel. Just appreciate you have a mini computer that can fit inside your pocket and can do pretty much everything it would take like 4 separate devices to do
I've had this phone for over a month, I switched to it from an iPhone 13, the screen on the Galaxy is much better, the colors are stunning, its structure is like the iPhone 11 Pro - very comfortable, I haven't encountered any problems with slowness, I have no idea what you're talking about and why you say things Incorrect and negatives, I suggest everyone to go buy the A13 and not invest one more unnecessary dollar!!!
These days I feel Samsung are not worthy enough to invest our hard earned money. Xiaomi in the same budget are performing far better. Though it's just a budget phone segment to these brands, it's our hard earned money and for many it's a dream to buy a mobile itself.
Yes i agree completely, for 200€ I bought Redmi note 10, which can do gaming, has great camera, has video stabilization, and is just fast. It offers a lot for the money
for what it costs, it's fantastic. i don't require a lot in a phone, so this seems to suit me perfectly. i've now decided i'll be getting one tomorrow.
wow immediate thumbs up to you guys for taking the same photographs with different phones. I watched the Xperia 10 iv review and it used the same location, so this gives a really good comparison for the two phones.
Hugely disappointing, considering that couple of years ago M21 was just 170 Euros and offered gorgeous AMOLED screen, 4K/30 video recording, long-lasting 6000mAh battery and very responsive experience. M21 and M31 were the best budget phones by "Samsung" and sadly their new offerings in the class are nowhere near their predecessors. Still using my M21, along with S10e and A52s.
@@Indrakusuma_a , S10e is my daily driver for calls, photos and 4K/60 videos (better video quality than S22, by the way). It's light and compact, fits perfectly fine in the pocket. M21 is my home Wi-Fi phone for Internet browsing due to the large battery and screen size. I bought the A52s as my new home Wi-Fi phone due to the large AMOLED screen with a small punch hole, as well as the stereo speakers. I don't use the A52s outside. The notch of the M21 is the sole thing I don't like in this phone. But I still love it.
the Samsung A series and M series are no budget phones if they go up to about $500 while they don't even perform that good. I have experience with the A series and M series, and i would recommend to buy an S serie for the price of an A serie for water resistance and, better frame rate and display and better camera's including 4k 60fps.
200 USD for a mobile with 60Hz LCD Screen, ExynAss 850 (Inferior than Mediatek G25) and outdated 2019 waterdrop notch is TRULY UNACCEPTABLE. What is the point of having 3 Major OS updates when the mobile can't even handle the pre-installed OS smoothly?
I'll be switching to xiaomi soon this Samsung phones just never fail to disappoint, I'm always getting aggravated at my phone at least 4 times a week where I have to stop myself from throwing It and I'm using a A32 4G model it isn't worth the money.

I thought I would look this phone up, after finding out you can get it for only 130 in the UK now. It's difficult to get anything decent for that money, so this is ok, if you don't have much cash.
Using *A13 right now(4GB, 64GB).* For its price, it's a really great phone. I'm currently using Android 14 with OneUI 6 and it's super smooth. I don't know why, but *the phone runs faster when something like WhatsApp or TH-cam running in the background.* Else, it's a bit laggy sometimes. Has great battery, beautiful display and an excellent camera. I love it 🤩
I have been using this phone since around August of 2022 and it is not good. It keeps lagging and is often unresponsive, even when I try to restart it. It is so frustrating and I regret buying it. The lag happens every other day for seemingly no reason at all. I do not recommend this at all, get a different phone instead.
the hardware quality of the phone is excellent and the phone is very durable. It is a very reliable device and user friendly too. It is an investment which pays off in long term. Its designed for matured people who do not want performance but trouble free long service from the phone. I had M51 which was faster but i had to throw it just within 2nd year due to poor hardware quality.
Its an ok phone for daily use , its a bit sluggish sometimes though, good for the price . Ive had mine for a year now . Camera however is pretty crappy imo.

I use this phone its an amazing phone and it very affordable n its kinda not bad with playing games wont let this review get to my head but thnx for trying
I'm there will be custom ROMs available for this device since it's so sluggish, once flashed with a bloatware free version of Android it should run perfectly fine with it's 4GB ram and 6x 2.0Ghz CPUs.. The lack of image stabilizing for video is just sad though, why? They could easily have introduced a simple crop2stabilize option although this can probably achieved through other apps so not a major train-smash - provided they don't limit the resolution for 3rd party apps like on my now broken A70 ... Sneaky buggers!!
I brought my A13 from a retail shop called Argos sim free in the UK for £230 few days ago. My phone contract company wanted me to pay more for my contract if I wanted a new phone; I said no way. They wanted £35 to £45 per month for a new contract. The A13 is good phone for the money. I still prefer my Samsung A40 which lasted four years..
This one is pretty cheap, but honestly the material on this device is amazing. With the work I do I notice I drop my phone down a lot. The screen suffered, but repair was easy. It does have slow memory too.
£179 for me here Poor camera but quick to process Great UI, got all the basics and more I like the side button that allows for the notification panel to slide up/down by sliding the button itself Fingerprint Id on power/side button Laggy, cannot hold larger apps Mid screen I don't like the eye comfort shield/blue light filter Headphone jack! I got this as a college student wanting to do well in exams by spending less time on their phone. Seeing as I'm writing this at 2AM I may have failed. The day I got it I complained that it was too good actually. I don't want a fancy phone at all. I have to say is at least it's not an iPhone 🤣
I can see the lag in UI scrolling. The resolution way too high for mali g52mc1, it is a shame, should be using 720x1600. The redmi 9c is way smoother in the review.
My Samsung A13 5G received the February 2024 software update only to become way slower and the battery charge lasts half the time it used to last before this update. I just bought it yesterday I don't believe everything you say about these phone ,most of sluggish are from app updates .for me it works perfect
have you bought 4g or 5g..?
i am considering to buy the 4g android 12, 128 GB ROM one..
How about that camera performance??
It does feel sluggish when you have apps running in the background. I have the a13 4g 6gb/128gb
I play fine with it. Just hate that there are no free earphones in the box anymore. 😒
Putting the millennial nit-picking to one side, these phones are unbelievable for the money.
Samsungs low end budget offerings continue to be thoroughly uncompetitive and kinda shit
No ambient light sensor and laggy out of the box, what the heck
I bought the a13 5g yesterday so far its works just fine I like it
If it f ups I'll let ya know
I just bought it and I really like it. Its a basic phone which is just what I need but my old LG phone seems to have a better color resolution.
i am using from 2 months its a really good phone high end phone with less price recommed to buy
Same goes to me men im using a72 but its not quite old but im not hype to buy latest brand new phones as long as i can play games and watch series i want i will use it to the very end
Im the same use them till they die haha. Ive had my S9 PLUS since they came out..but im looking to buy a new one hence the reason I'm here at this video hubby just got one as he left his old one in the rain for 2hrs the other day..was still going but couldn't use the sim...it had a good run after being dropped multiple times, fell in bike oil, and left in the rain.. he had a S8.
@@haroldinodeleonskie1578 i still use my old samsung s5 🥺
@@haroldinodeleonskie1578 I'm a millennial but not a big phone guy. I am like Matthew and just use budget phones. I've never understood the need for a phone to be as powerful as a desktop. I have a desktop computer for games and don't want to spend $1000 for a phone to do what my desktop does better anyway. If it can call, text, and surf the web, I am good. I don't need 4k resolution or super-duper cameras.
@@Wowzersdude-k5c thanks for the info bro! Me too! I would love to spend all my money on consoles or gaming pc than on phone! Mainly use of phone is scrolling but pc or console is for time killing!
I've always liked Samsung as a company
But removing chargers in the box including budget devices? This type of companies specially Apple shouldn't be supported. It's because people support these type of companies that's why they do such things and push their luck and profits
Even they removed, people will stupid enough to buy. Samsung and apple know their customer is stupid.
I am glad to move out from Samsung, greedy companies have no limit until they learn the lesson.
I've got the adapter from the box
Profits? Where do you think the money comes from to spend hundreds of millions of dollars for R&D?
For those people complaining the a13 is not that bad, make sure you specify which variant.
Because the 5G version essentially is a different phone. As pointed out in the video it has a different chipset.
It also has a different screen. ( Lower resolution but higher refresh rate.)
Cameras may also be a little bit different.
I just bought one, A13 5g, for $100, so far it's not too bad. Headphone jack and expandable storage is great.
*You sure it's only 100 US Dollar???*
@@GeraldCrossOfficial I mean you can literally get them for free if you switch to AT&T. I think like 4 or 5 of them prolly
Yes
No adapter in the box for a budget phone? Samsung's pushing their luck
Samsung isn't making good phones anymore there phones are about the same price as apple its like we might as well go the apple route.
Choose Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. (just a suggestion, though)

These days I feel Samsung are not worthy enough to invest our hard earned money. Xiaomi in the same budget are performing far better. Though it's just a budget phone segment to these brands, it's our hard earned money and for many it's a dream to buy a mobile itself.
You are 1000% right, I do agree.
Yes i agree completely, for 200€ I bought Redmi note 10, which can do gaming, has great camera, has video stabilization, and is just fast. It offers a lot for the money

Why are you using 3 phones btw?_?
@@Indrakusuma_a , S10e is my daily driver for calls, photos and 4K/60 videos (better video quality than S22, by the way). It's light and compact, fits perfectly fine in the pocket.
M21 is my home Wi-Fi phone for Internet browsing due to the large battery and screen size.
I bought the A52s as my new home Wi-Fi phone due to the large AMOLED screen with a small punch hole, as well as the stereo speakers. I don't use the A52s outside. The notch of the M21 is the sole thing I don't like in this phone. But I still love it.
In M31/M21 Samsung used very cheap low quality AMOLED screens. As a result M31/M21 displays were dying in mass.

the Samsung A series and M series are no budget phones if they go up to about $500 while they don't even perform that good. I just bought it has 4GB ram and 128 internal memory and it's only 20$ month it's not that expensive

Hello. Is it safe to update the software???
Is this phone better than an iPhone 6 because I have an iPhone 6
My Samsung A13 5G received the February 2024 software update only to become way slower and the battery charge lasts half the time it used to last before this update. Question: is Samsung doing it to push users to buy a newer Samsung phone? To me it looks like Samsung is tricking us to buy a new phone. I was happy with Samsung phones before, I am not anymore. Actually, I am thinking my next phone will not be Samsung, definitely.
A13 or Moto g62 what would you recommend? Are they both reliable?
