      Those brookies definitely made us happy, great way to kick off the season. I really love that canoe, so light. Sammy really is the best, he loves being out there. Couldn't ask for a better dog.     I was out this weekend too. The beauty I caught was from shore as well. I had a Chocolate Lab too, his name was Choco : ) I miss him. Good video 👍 nice lake and trout

    Thanks for sharing. Do you mind me asking what spinner and lb test line you're using?

      I was using a chartreuse and orange rooster tail spinner with 6lb fluorocarbon line. I have had great success with that color combination fishing for brook trout. Thanks for watching, very much appreciated!

    Nice way to start your season. It was especially nice to hear the peepers, I've always had them in a field behind my house but for the first time in 45yrs there were none this spring. Guess the field wasn't wet enough.

    its too bad the brook trout fishing is nothing like it used to be, the state record is only 6 lbs, New York has failed to properly protect its native fisheries
