- Season 2 Episode 7 | Everyone knows it takes a village to pull off production. There are so many departments such as glam, costume design, crafty and more who work to bring your favorite shows and movies to life. I'm so grateful for my hairstylist, Shornell and MUA Manny who work with me on set. The pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA strike hit a lot of us in the industry very hard. I invited Shornell and Manny on my couch to talk about how they navigate seasons of uncertainty in the entertainment industry.

I just subscribed but I’ve been looking at the different TH-cam videos and I have to say you can tell Crystal is a walking gem. I just love what she embodies. I love this channel and I don’t use TH-cam unless I’m looking up a video but this channel is a Godsend. I’m looking to get closer to God and I love that I found this.

Another one so proud of you young positive people. This was good for me I am a mother of a 17 yr old daughter who is on her way to becoming a part of this industry. When I was carrying her I told her father this one is going to be in entertainment and I believe it was her soul speaking to my Spirit. She is true to her destiny. We visited three colleges in Atlanta because she wants to be a film director. When she walked onto the SCAD campus in Atlanta and in Savannah she was blown away. But SCAD is very expensive that made her rethink her path but did not change the course to get into the entertainment industry. So we looked at community colleges across the country and had no idea that Houston Community College has a film program. After HCC the plan is to transfer to SCAD. Honestly I have been nervous about the entertainment industry but if she’s rocking I’m rolling. Hearing you all talk about the struggle but staying focused is helping me better understand how to support my baby. I’ve been reading published Black actor biographies to help prepare me on how to best support her but this peek at what you do gave me another view of the industry and I thank all three of you for that! I love your podcast I share it with my older daughters and a few with my son. One of my daughters listens to every episode with her best friend. Please keep it going looking forward to many more seasons to come❣️
