'Drain You Empty' took us by surprise. We have been waiting for them since a couple of albums to do something along those lines since a while now. It finally happened. They really know how to deliver a slow, torturous, dark, menacing track.

Pitchfork impalement is my favorite, it has that old school derailed freight train vibe cannibal used to give me, also love those bomb blasts from Paul.
Overlords of Violence is such a fantastic opener with that thrashy feel that fits so well with their sound. CC has nothing to prove and they remain consistent for most of their albums. Great review!
Listened twice through already and there just aren't as many hooks as I've come to expect on a CC album. Very little to remember here. I very much hope that changes on multiple listens.

I know I'm not the same kind of cannibal corpse fan as her when she says blood blind is one of the best songs on the album.

One kind of different fan is a Barnes vs George fan. I pick Barnes since he actually wrote the lyrics and their imagery that they are known for.

I just got the cd in yesterday I listen to it once and its one of my favourite death metal albums of 2023

There is nothing that stands out but that last song , Drain You Dry. It's much more a thrash album.
