- I was able to get the new LEGO Delivery Truck Set 60440 early and build it. I even think I improved it with an additional set.

I agree, the famous Costco dog and pop combo along with the red coat Costco employees (managers)

I helped my kiddos build Lego when they were young, but they were all in a pile (no sets that I recall), and walking hazards. LOL! I don’t build Lego myself, so it was fascinating to watch you put the delivery truck together. I didn’t know the process for sets so that was an added feature to watch you put it together. The BBQ stand was definitely a + so good call. I don’t know about having extra pieces, that might put me over the edge.

My son had set 3221. It looks like this new set is just a revamped update of that.
Bought for our grandson 4yr old to build with his millennial engineer dad by his request. Our son always built stuff from kits and his imagination. We had 4 big flip boxes full of legos which he took to their house.

Hello Tony love the truck you bought i love the minature hotdogs and drink My son now 48 loved trains i remember building a lego train on Xmas eve when he was about 6 happy memories.
I like the addition. I'm gathering the food carts from all the themes.

I love seeing how much enjoyment you get from your LEGO purchases and building! The Eiffel Tower is looking fantastic btw. 🤩 Very cool. We were actually there in person recently and it was an amazing experience. I even got to speak French with real French people 🇫🇷 😂

Just picked it up this morning in the UK almost five hours ago from my local lego store. No deals at Costco for us guys I am afraid. About a year ago I got the older version of this from a Bricklink seller. I think it dates back to around 2011. Looking forward to seeing how they compare and looking forward to the lower sticker count.
How was the line? I’m in line right now at my store. About 100 people.

That Lego Milky Way set just arrived for my son and husband to build, and one of my daughters is very into the Legend of Zelda so she immediately preordered the $$$ Lego set coming out in September. Lego appears to be infecting my family one member at a time.

@Loca Bricks, just ordered from Costco today the Lego truck, and gonna buy the Lego 8398.
The one thing I will change on the delivery truck is taking off the lights above the windscreen and putting all black wedge pieces.
It's a nice truck, I wonder how easy it would be to convert the whole thing to 6 wide?

If you add blue 2x4 to make the lego set pallets fuller would the forklift handle the extra weight.

I got to start off by saying this. I can't comment on your Tony Barnett FB page. Don't know why. But, I'm following your Eiffel Tower updates there and it's going to look amazing when finished.
I'm left wondering a few things after watching the truck build. Why is there extra pieces? And then what are you doing with said extra pieces? 🤔🤔Very cool that Lego includes the smaller items, like the tools for the tool boxes even though you don't see them unless you open the tool boxes.
And last wondering is this. Has Lego always been this detailed with their builds even at the beginning of Lego empire? My brother is 9 years older than I am and he wasn't into Lego growing up. And, believe it or not, all my close friends have girls and they aren't into the Lego building one iota.
I'm looking forward to the end results of the Eiffel Tower. 👍👍

I think they have certainly gotten more detailed as new builders have come along figured out how to use the parts differently.
No early access for me for this LEGO Set in my City - But it is a day 1 buy for me - Looks great and nice job on the build

Video was interesting. However, you left something out. How long did it take you to build the truck and all its components?
Since you are an experienced Lego builder, you probably take less time than a newcomer would take. Do you think a newcomer could build this set?
This was an easy to build set. Its marked 8+ I think it took me a couple hours.
The biggest one we built is the London bridge.
So what’s happening to truck number 2? Enjoyed watching the build. Hope you’re doing a similar video for the Eiffel Tower.
One of my kids with end up with truck 2 I think. I haven’t been filming the Eiffel Tower build.

What has been your rarest, and where did you get it?
I haven't really collected very rare sets but certainly looking at places I travel help. My oldest set is partial race car set from the 80s I recently picked up at a local toy show.
