The best tool for stabilizing injuries? - SAM Splint

The SAM splint is a foam splint that is very versatile and can be used in many different applications. Simply mold the SAM splint to the patient and then bend the edges up to give the splint rigidity. These can be used to stabilize joints and long bones and can even be used to make an improvised C-Collar in a pinch.

You can get creative with a magazine rolled up or anything else you can find. Worst case scenario just hold it in place and minimize movement as best as possible until you can get to the ER.
