Wife wanted an SUV that was "nicer" than my Expedition named "Plane Jane". Probably the best truck I've owned. So off to the used car markets. Finally settled on a Used 2013 Lincoln MKX, clean carfax, factory certified used car with extendo warranty and proper miles. The deal was OK, no big win, no big loss. Then I started living with it. The rear hatch was finicky, sometimes working sometimes not working. Then I noticed that the bolts holding it on had obviously been removed and reinstalled for some reason. Closer inspection revealed that the giant plastic rear bumper was not quite perfect; gaps were just a hair out and in the sun the weird black metallic paint color was slightly different that the body panel. Around to the front I went. Same story. A really nice job had been done rebuilding both ends of this car. So I embarked on the easy disassembly of both ends. There was absolutely no sign of any metal damage to be found. Clips were sheared as you expect now a days. So I loaded up with new clips and reassembled everything making the minor adjustments that seemed to have been beyond the last guy's efforts. It is clear to me that the last a**hole has been in the middle of a chain reaction minor collision causing him to find some garage guy to fix the front and back. No claims filed, no insurance trail, no blot on the record. The car is great and I will keep it a long time.

Rob hit the bullseye about being up front and shooting straight with folks instead of the shady way more than a few people operate. Back 30+ years ago just after I graduated high school I had a Vitamin C Orange '72 Road Runner with a built 440 in place of the factory 400. I hung out with a bunch of hometown guys and we even had a car club for a few years. One guy was a bonafide Bowtie guy like I'm a Mopar Or No Car type (well I was then you can't get in the hobby now for all of the "Bare It & Jack It Up",Mecum,Russo & Steel, etc. outfits especially if you're retired and physically disabled) and so was his dad and uncles. One uncle was a C1 & C2 Corvette guy and he'd heard a rumor (it'd been around for years) about a 1955 Corvette locked/hidden away in an old cinder block two-car garage in a neighboring county. The older lady who owned it left where her late husband parked it in the late 60's. A bunch of slick cats were trying to buy it once they found out where it was and were all "low balling" her on the price. My Bowtie buddy's uncle told her exactly what she had and what it was actually worth. She sold it to him for less than some of the other "would be buyers" were offering. If I remember right it had 20,000 or so actual miles on it. I think he sold it to some collector in Florida in the mid-90's. Honesty actually is the best police I guess.
When there is a shot of the Car driving in front view what is that type of camera and filter setup? It has a very nice vintage look except with exceptional quality clarity. It looks great, compliments to the camera man/woman or video editor.
I worked in personal finance for a time. It’s shocking how those who seem to have a lot done and those who seem to lack are rolling in it. The prudent saver shockingly saves up cash. Now when I see a high roller, I generally assume they don’t have money.
Just caught a small bit of the episode, but had to turn off when they showed the orange Camero with the SS on the grille installed wrong. The big curve goes at the bottom of the grille. Once you notice them upside down, you can't look at a camaro or chevelle without having them jump out at you.

You have some great stories from an interesting life you worked hard to make happen.
hey you I’d buy two.
And out of the kindness of your heart, you rebuilt the motor and sent it back to the guy in Georgia. LOL
Looks like I'm taking an extra 10 mins on my coffee break today ........ 👍
When there is a shot of the Car driving in front view what is that type of camera and filter setup?
It has a very nice vintage look except with exceptional quality clarity. It looks great, compliments to the camera man/woman or video editor.
You're a great story teller my friend ! Thanks for sharing
Great story. Someday Mr fake money will cross the wrong person and end up face down in a ditch.
And thanks rabbit for another great video and story.
Man that was one hell of a crazy 😜 story !!! 👍👍👍
Another great story Rabbit
Always love your stories, Rob...and trying to figure out where in GVL you're driving! I'd love to stop by your garage sometime if you allow visitors.
Woodside in west Greenville
I found Rabbits channel!! Love your stories on VinWiki man!
There’s definitely more to this story...
FPVREVIEWS way more .
@@rabbits_used_cars Do a patreon I've never subbed to one but in your case would be first in line. Would definitely be worth the money for the behind the scenes stuff.
mrbobsshow what are you a women? Wanting to pay for someone’s drama. Goof
@@shane8911 Nah, we want to watch the drama slide of Rabbit's back like snot off a duck's ass. Somehow, Rabbit even manages to make money in the process.
Rob just likes saying “Gay Georgia”
I caught that too. Does he even have a mobile phone? I imagine his shop having rotary corded phones, sitting on top of a 3 high stack of telephone books from 1979. I know of a garage for sale north of Pittsburg Penna. that has a wall 12'high by 15' wide full of chilton books !
I mean, have you been to Georgia?
Well, lookie, lookie, the Rabbit's testing the TH-cam waters. Good Luck Rob!!
If people spent as much money faking it in life, rather than have a little bit of patience not faking it they'd probably be what they're trying to be before they knew it. But nope , the ego is real ! , keep up the stories Rabbit !
Story time with good old rabbit, quick question you have any stories about the split window vette 🤔
As soon as he said the guy had a little pygmy that followed him around and was his right hand man all I could think of was Lil' Ennis Burdette! Lol!
Heaven just gained another angel RIP
That guy is lucky you didnt call the secret service on him. I think 3-5 in federal pen is what he would have got for counterfeiting alone. Lol love the channel watched all your vinwiki videos glad to have more stories.
Another great story by Rabbit 🐇
Wow great story, well done.
Subscribed for sure.
Next time yo take hundred-dollar bills in cash, make SURE that little silk stripe in the bills that says "USA 100" is there! Hold the bills up to the light, and look on the left hand side! (Bleached hundreds won't have that stripe.)
Wow what a an awesome story. Holy Shit totally unpredictable ending.
Things are truly not what they seem!!!
A rabbit story on taco tuesday? What a day!
Rabbit where did you learn to drive man ,your all over the place LOL
Got his swerve on baby!
dr reckoff ... good gawd, learn simple spelling.
@@JW...-oj5iw dont sweat the little, irrelevant shit.you think rabbit cares about a coma, period or fucking exclamation point?
Lovin them rabbit stories
That rs/ss you're driving is awesome. AWESOME. But I'm a speed freak and would rather have the retro rod build from the guy in Georgia. Both are great but you just cant beat an all aluminum big block.
The one he is driving isn't an RS/SS. The RS car would have hideaway headlights. His is just an SS
Rob, I think you resemble a young Rodney Dangerfield (compliment). The difference is that you get all the respect!
