PERFECT Shrimp Fried Rice

  • Aaron and I head up the street from our house to a salt pond to go foraging for blue crab. Things take a slight turn when we realize we are on a key west shrimp goldmine. I make a simple but amazing shrimp fried rice.

    Nice! We do this on full moon in the winter in that little canal off Flagler, usually get enough for a good meal🤙

    Simple , easy recipe. Im from Louisiana and go shrimping often when the season opens , we call the fried shrimp heads”spiders” nice and crunchy they are excellent!!Well done & keep the videos coming. Love your cooking style.

    A suggestion: Less soy sauce and 1 Tbls oyster sauce. I enjoyed the video and agree that when "creating" fried rice, have all the prep work completed before "tuning on the heat." Cheers.

    What a great night! Rice looked delicious! Have you tried a little sesame seed oil? Delicious. Not so sure about the shrimp 🦐 heads, though 😐 FTW= Found The Waterman?😂😂

    I met a guy from Thailand years ago, he fried shrimp whole, shells and all, in peanut oil, infused with hot pepper oil or something! Like shrimp potato chips, amazing. Yes, shells and all. Spicy too. Never seen it again since. This video reminded me of it, I can still remember how good it was.

    My god I love your channel I went out to our local refuge and caught 2 dozen blue crab like Aaron was saying on line and chicken had a crab boil the next day I picked the crabs that were leftover and made your crab cake recipe like y’all did with the spider crab and it was amazing for breakfast this morning I had a left over crab cake and I made a poached egg for the first time and it came out beautiful (beginners luck) all this to say I will gladly try any recipe you have you’re an amazing chef and person always happy and smile on your face keep doing what you’re doing brother! 🤙

    As someone who's been cooking for nearly 20 years (mostly Asian cuisine) this is pretty good . I recommend the rice be at least a day old , crisp up better , you know , it's 'fried" rice . Also love how you fried the heads of the shrimp , utilize the whole animal 👍

    ( prawns) get back another pop and cook the next day . Y’all did get two crabs but damn why didn’t ya call me for the fun ? Truth ? The fried rice and shrimp heads looked so good ….

    This Video takes me back to shrimp fishing off the bridges just north of Grassy Key (~60 miles up the road from Key West) Before the oil slick. I wasted to say that I love the recipe and the using the whole shrimp. I also had a Bob Ross Happy Accident frying up the shrimp shells and heads I made shrimp chips. They are awesome!!! I was so impressed I even took pictures but I don't see how I could share them. I also made Shrimp oil while frying the heads and the shells. Thank you again for your inspiration to keep trying new things and using everything.

    Come shrimping here, and I will show you tons of BIG shrimp and blue crabs!!!
    The fried rice looks delicious! You could have picked the meat from your crabs and added it also!
    We call the fried shrimp heads “Spiders” gotta luv-um!!!!

      Through a sinking dry dog food (Jim Dandy )out under a light at night … wait about a hour, and through your brill net !!! You will fill a 48 quart ice chest in a hour or two bro!!!

You get a very good mix of culture-influenced spices and cuisine. I was checking out Aaron's channel which lead to yours. Just curious, aren't you guys afraid of the alligators' ambush in that waters?

      I really enjoy steamed whole fish or deep/pan fried, no in between for me. I pan fry a porgy in one episode but I’ll steam a yellowtail soon! Wrapped in banana leaves of course
