Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video and found it useful. I am keen to hear what you think of this pattern so let me know in the comments.
Thank you for recording this. Solved some confusion for me about what resin to buy. Another recipe called for Loon Fly Pain which is thick, but I couldn't find any. This looks far better anyway.
Have you tried using hot UV orange thread as the base? That gives a fantastic inner glow effect. By the way, that other comment is a phishing one, not sure if it does anything negative if you reply to it, but it's not a genuine comment.
I have tried orange thread but I couldn't see it very well, sounds like the hot orange is the way to go then, must be a bit brighter. Will definitely try it. I figured the other comment was a scam, I have got them a bit and normally YT flags them. I don't think it's negative to reply but I will research a bit more to make sure, so thanks for the tip.
Not as much. I still have a few in my box but I'm currently testing a plastic bead covered with UV permanent markers. These work well but they are still not nearly as durable as a good old globug and more fiddley. The beads look like a good option. Quick and durable but yet to use one to catch a fish. I must say conditions haven't really been great for using eggs and I have had much more success with naturals so far this season. I use eggs mostly in higher dirtier water and when the fish are really keen on them. Also found squirmy worms 😂 they really work!
@@CrazyAboutFlyFishing I hardly ever used egg patterns last winter at Taupo and did pretty well. Same this season so far. I try them occasionally but they don't seem particularly successful.

That's great. Glad it was useful for you.
Cant say I have seen this style before.
Will give it a whirl and see how they go for this winter
Pretty new for me too but I think they will work well just like the otters egfs. Been locked down here so not been able to go give them a whirl yet.
yeah definitely keen to hear how they go
Heading out tomorrow for a few days and hope to give them a try. Watch out for some new videos from next week.

Are you still using these?

Actually now I remember a few days when the tungsten taco egg caught way more than its fair share
