"Take a seat and make yourself at home" and "Thank you for stopping by" sounds friendly and welcoming.
As well, the tour of the house sounds great. Thanks again, Mike.😊😊
Watching this beautiful video again. The guests will feel welcomed and comfortable when we use these expressions.
Thanks a lot, Mike.😊😊
He was very welcoming when we arrived at his house.❤
When the guests arrive a simple smile can let them feel welcome instantly. Thats what you did during your video, Mike.😊😊
Thank you for The explanation, and interesting lesson, Teacher Mike.
You're welcome!
I love English because of your way to teach us. ❤❤❤
Thank you! I'm glad to hear that!
Same in Canary Islands,Spain! Thank you for stopping by ,Teacher Mike, with this nice and useful video!🤗❤️ Have a good one!🤗❤️
Thank you!😃
These are probably very useful phrases, especially in the USA, but here in my country less so. When I visit my family members or relatives, we don't need to say anything. We can go directly to the point, like "How's it going?" or "It's getting chilly outside." However, if a total stranger visited my home, I could say: "Make yourself at home, but just don't touch anything without asking permission first!" 😜
@@Karthik-sm3fp I was just being honest and trying to be jocular.
Wow.🤣
thank you
Very useful thanks Teacher Mike ❤
Wow, a spontaneous, enthusiastic, and natural video. Thanks a lot, our Super Teacher. I love the way you explained today's lesson. I just learned good expressions that I can use with guests.😊😊😊
I think you've seen the old one of this video before.
Yes, Mike. But I needed to watch it again and again and I'm going to write these expressions in my flash cards.😊😊

The culture of the countries is different and if we get to know it there will be no misunderstanding no offense.

If it's late and the guests don't think of leaving, we might start to...yawn!

Hahaha.😊
A warrn smile is a universal symbol of kindness.😊
A what smile?😅
Warm, Mike. I eat letters or words all the time. Oh!🤣
Even in my mother language I do that. It looks like my brain is faster than my hand.
Super video! Very nice and useful lesson- like an excellent guide of good manners, giving us advice, how to welcome and to deal politely, and courteously with guests in our home! We have here many examples of the sentences and expressions, very useful and important!

E: Hi there, thanks for stopping by. Come on in.
G: Hi. Thank you so much for having me.
E: It's my pleasure. May I take your coat and umbrella for you? So you can get settled. Make yourself at home.
G: Oh, thank you very much.
E: Make yourself comfortable. May I get you something to drink? We have water, juice, coffee, and tea.
Would you prefer a snack, or anything else? I have some crackers and cheese if you're hungry.
G: Oh. Yes, please. I could do with a warm cup of tea and a cozy blanket.
I am feeling a little cold because it is cold outside. It is snowing.
E: Here you go. Please let me know if you need anything else.
G: This is perfect, thank you. Your home is beautiful, by the way.
E: Thank you, I'm so glad you like it. Can I give you a quick tour?
G: That would be great, I'd love to see more of your place. Your home is beautiful. I love it.
Thank you so much for this wonderful afternoon. And thank you so much for your time. But I have to go now.
E: When you have free time. Please visit me again. Do you have everything?
G: Yes, thank you very much. Good bye.
E: Good bye.
Hi, Elvira. Perfect.😊❤
@@evelynquinonez1667 Thank you so much, my friend. 🤩💝 You also have many great examples.
Both of you always do!
@@TeacherMikeEnglish Both of us have a good teacher. 🙏🔥👌
Some people see through the window before opening the door. If they don't like people who are coming to visit them, they simply don't open the door. 😆😆
Hi Mike.
How you doing?
Please, hold to us a live chat 🙏
Hi. I'll try to do another one sometime soon. Thanks.
Can we say 'please have a seat'?
Yes!✅
Take a seat sounds friendlier and nicer.😊
Hey. How is it going?
It's so good to see you.
Come on in, please!
Welcome to our house! Can I take your bags?
Let me give you a tour.
Please take a seat. Make yourself at home.
Would you like something to drink or eat?
Well, it's getting pretty late. Or
Thank you so much for stopping by.😊😊
for coming, but I've got to called it a night.
Do you have everything?
Nice, but it'll be a little rude to say to the guests I've got to call it a night however I could pretend to be asleep.
Hi. It's not rude at all. If they are friends or family, they understand that you have a life, and you have things that you need to do that are more important than socializing with them.
Falling asleep would, however, be rude. That would be like saying "You are boring."😅
