This is the second time I’ve heard teller speak. The first time being in 1998 when I met him after a show in Philadelphia. I assumed he would remain silent but he spoke confidently and in this great voice and said ‘thank you for coming to the show. I’m glad you enjoyed it!’ It was surreal. Good to hear his voice again after all these years. I was beginning to wonder if I imagined the whole thing. He was also taller than I realized. Penn is just such a huge guy that it makes teller look short by comparison. Penn was very nice as well. They both took a moment with every person that bothered them and didn’t seem put out at all despite the fact that they must have been exhausted. In my youth I didn’t appreciate how tired they must have been and now I wouldn’t seek out a personal moment with two guys who had just put on an insane show. It has really stuck with me over the years the gratitude that they must feel for the life they have to stick around for god knows how long and indulge every single fans desire to meet them. What exceptionally talented showmen and gentlemen.
I told him after a show in Vegas that I loved his goldfish trick and that I was glad to have been able to see him perform it that show and he replied, "Thanks! I'll tell the fish!"
Even in my podunk town they stayed after. And you're right, I saw Penn and we only spoke for about a minute but I wasn't rushed and he treated me like I was the most important thing he had going on for that minute. Super nice guys!
How many people realize that Teller remaining silent is simply the first misdirection in the show? We automatically focus on Penn, because he has taken the lead in connecting with us -- but that perceived "connection" is the SECOND misdirection. Penn is the Pied Piper, drawing us along, while Teller is the anchor around which the actual magic is taking place.
@@deseosuhoI doubt it. Every time I see him on stage he seems to be having so much fun playing up the “Magician Mime” role. Using body language and facial expressions to convey the act is just another layer of complexity to the act that make it a fun challenge to create.
These two guys not only are masters of the magician arts but dispel the old tricks to encourage ppl to invent new stuff. Both skeptics but honest ones, if the trick fooled them, it was good, if it didn’t they’d tell you why.
Teller had given an interview and explained why he is the silent partner in a magic presentation. The entire goal is to enhance the presentation for the audience. He has no issue speaking nor is he trying to create a mythical character.
when teller speaks, the world not even magician must listen. i don't know if he is a legend or a god and if you know why he decide not to talk you will directly know that when he speaks he is saying something that will change ur life in magic for ever
I don't get how doing the same effect with different methods is a type of misdirection. I mean, what can achieve the magician with me perceiving all as the same trick?
The way this is edited is confusing. It works well from a presentation perspective (showing Teller's beautiful Goldfish Coins trick), but for actually understanding what he is talking about, showing him expressing himself would be way more effective.
Not for nothin' here, but you'd think an organization calling itself "Masterclass" would be paying attention to the difference between "their" and "they're".
First time seeing Teller speak
It's scary
I legit thought it was a voice-over
It talks also in TBBT
Stop being silly.
That's just Penn throwing his voice.
You've been duped again!
Ha.
Seeing him speak? Try HEARING him speak

That's a beautiful story. In my 31 years, this is the first time I've heard his voice. I hope to see them live one day.
I told him after a show in Vegas that I loved his goldfish trick and that I was glad to have been able to see him perform it that show and he replied, "Thanks! I'll tell the fish!"
He played the role of Amy's father in TBBT. He spoke a lot there.
Even in my podunk town they stayed after. And you're right, I saw Penn and we only spoke for about a minute but I wasn't rushed and he treated me like I was the most important thing he had going on for that minute. Super nice guys!
I wasn’t expecting such a powerful and confident voice…
He's a creative genius! Also a great director!

That was so well said. 👏
His greatest trick, making his voice reappear
Are we live? YEAHHH
He has such a lovely beautiful voice. I could listen to him read the dictionary.
I never got over hearing teller talk. He is so surprisingly deep. Their last "trick" should be curing Teller's speach, on stage.
He's so much more pleasant without a giant man in a gray suit screaming at me. Penn and Teller are the goats
I do wonder if Teller has ever regretted that initial choice to be a stage introvert.

Teller is the Master of sleight of hand.
I'm always in awe when watching him perform.
Hearing him speak is surreal. Like it’s a voiceover. I think I expected him to have an English accent 😂
To be fair, he has the most english sounding american accent I've ever head xD.
The cadence and tone already sounds like the Kings english.

When Teller speaks people listen. I have been listening to him for years and he is very wise.
Finally get to hear you. Thanks
PENN AND TELLER IS MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE OF ALL TIME, OME IF A KIND NONE CAN COMPETITE!!!!❤🎉❤😊❤
Teller sounds just like a great narrator of something because of how articulate he is when he speaks.
Never heard him before 😮
Yes. When this man speak, I listen.
I believe that teller used 4 different methods of speaking here. Real magic
The legend speaks!
Amazing discovery of hearing Teller for the first time
I AM INCREDIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE
forget tellers voice, the way he just produces coins from fresh air in front of a member of the audience
With wet hands too
Teller had given an interview and explained why he is the silent partner in a magic presentation. The entire goal is to enhance the presentation for the audience. He has no issue speaking nor is he trying to create a mythical character.
Speak more sir❤
Love tellers body language
Weird how so many people have never heard him speak. It's not like he lives on stage. He's been on many interviews and shows where he speaks.
It speaks 😊
Teller speaks!
Speaking of misdirection, I have seen Penn "explain" how Teller is doing a trick, while Teller is doing that trick a completely different way.
Thanks guys …that’s as clear as mud
Watched it twice before I went “wait a minute, he’s talking”
I'm 41yo. Heard him talk only a handful of times. Still trips me out.

You misspelled Penn in your hashtag
I saw their show 40 years ago in Chicago ...after the show they were both outside talking and selling their souviner's
Thank god, Teller has a great voice. Was worried he had a terrible speech impediment lol
Use this same knowledge when watching the news
Never thought that Penn is also a ventriloquist as well.
Hm? Who is his voice actor?
Word...
"Never flog a principal" - Paul Daniels. This guy gets it...
First time hearing teller speak😂
This is tripping me out. I've never seen him talk, ahaha
It feels weird hearing him speak for the first time. Anyone else feel the same thing?
Wow amy's dad can really do magic and speaks !
3 of clubs

wait thats his voice what!
I honestly never wanted to hear his voice. I never thought i would
How did he produce coins with his left hand open towards the audience member? 🤔
Not… what… I… imagined
I forget that Teller can actually speak
Dude i thought little bro was deaf.
He doesnt speak in Fool Us as he feels that's more respectable
WAIT TELLER CAN TALK?
Did anybody else expect Teller to have a higher voice? Like Kermit the frog or Roger Rabbit?
HE CAN SPEAK ??
Careful... The people in charge of the federal reserve will be very upset...
i believed that this is made by an artificial intelligence, hahahah.
What does it even mean, though
Party on Wayne
His body give the voice of a squeaky little leprechaun. His real voice is strangely masculine and powerful
Man AI has come a long way
Not for nothin' here, but you'd think an organization calling itself "Masterclass" would be paying attention to the difference between "their" and "they're".
I expected a high voice.
woah
I thought he was deaf mute.
He can talk?
That’s not Teller. That’s AI
And I still don't get it how he do it 😢😢😢😢😂😮
His voice doesnt sound like how i expected at all
He talks??? Haha
pfff this AI thing video thing is getting out of control... they're making Teller speak now heheheh
The voice doesn’t match him, it’s surreal.
It feels illegal to hear him speak
His voice doesn’t match what I’ve come to expect.
This feels wrong
Garbo speaks!
It doesn't feel right listening to him speak
