As this was the first time recording for the Let’s Play in the new year, I did a little island update at the start - if you’re already familiar with it or would like to jump straight to the progress, I added time stamps/chapters!

You're not the only one! It also bothers me when my eyelashes crisscross in the corners. I think it has to do with my neurodivergence. I also can't stand when my socks get twisted inside my shoes, and the texture of corduroy is so unappealing to me.

I just finished a tropical resort island, and have just restarted on an early springcore island. Like, just as winter is ending and spring is emerging. :D I can't wait!

Happy new year! I don’t have number codes so when I need to remember to stunt a tree I lay down a very contrasting tile and drop a piece of fruit on it as a visual reminder - works like a charm!❤

okay i'm SO different in terms of villager photos, but since you asked i wann share :D personally, i never really grind for the photos, i just like to gift my villagers stuff that I think they might enjoy as a role-playing aspect :3 therefore i actually wouldn't enjoy getting a photo from everyone on every island because it's not as fitting for my imagination of only having a few besties :) soo from this perspective when you are using them more like a decoration aspect i think it would make sense to make it a little easier for u and get them from a TI, at least in my head! :) apart from that I think the fruit technique mentioned in the comments is a good idea!
4:38 ive heard of doctors ordering people to take off work, but i don’t think it happens in the US. I dont know if jobs would even be legally required to take a doctors note seriously, it certainly wasn’t the case when i got covid the second time cause they wouldnt accept it to excuse my absence
I think using the villager photos is a good idea, whether you grind for them or not. I think I may have gotten a villager photo once? I’ve never really tried to get them mainly because I wouldn’t put them anywhere unless I wanted to put them in the house of another villager they’re dating or bffs with.
The doctor thing isn’t here in the US. We can have medical leave but we don’t have thing like that. Unless you mean a psychiatric facility 😂😅
could be a psychiatric facility, but depends on the facility! :) so, we have facilities that take patients that have been ordered to take time off by their regular doctor because of sth physical but also patients who got ordered in from their psychiatrist. my mum for example was in such a facility once when she had an injury on her shoulder but their were also people there receiving treatment for burnout or depression. the difference often times is from which insurance this facility is paid, that's how it's divided. if your illness keeps you from continuing your job long term (my mum e.g. was a carpenter before that injury) that's paid by retirement insurance, everything else by regular health insurance. that's why regular health insurance paid facilities often have more patients with psychiatric needs because those are not terminating their careers most of the time

Since you don't have your numbers anymore, maybe you can use items. Fruit for example, drop two fruit next to the tree you want to get to stage two. Drop three fruit next to a tree you want to get to stage three. Etc.
Or create a code. Pear means stage 2. Another fruit means stage 3. Etc.
I have never tried to grind for villager photos. I got one once from Marshal on my very first island, but have never really tried to do it since. I don't think there's anything wrong with getting the villager photos from treasure islands if the grind doesn't appeal to you.
About what you brought up with the doctor, could you possibly be referring to rehabilitation centers? I have seen where those big rehabilitation facilities here have small lakes next to them at times, so I thought maybe that could be it.

There's a lot of island name generators out there if you just give it a quick google! ☺ Names are kind of a unique thing and probably kind of a hard thing to talk about in a video format, so I hope that helps! 😊

@@sparksby now that we're on the topic of island names... I recently stumbled upon the fact that Hokkaido (your 14 day fall island I believe) is actually the name of the second-largest Japanese island. So I wondered why you chose that name ^^'
