Pentagrams aren't evil at all, though the true meaning still fits with the whole spirit theme. A pentagram is a symbol of protection, dating all the way back to the early pegans(from my research) and was meant to help ward off evil. Early Catholics, thinking that pegans were devil worshipers, thought that the pentagram was an evil insignia. In this context, you could say that the pentagram is warding off the evil spirits trying to contact you.

Murdoc Niccals it’s an inverted pentagram. the sigil of baphometh has other symbols and has a more goat shape to it. i don’t know much about baphometh as it isn’t one of the deities i worship.
