I like how most of the people think golden films used to be another animation studio that made knock-offs of *DISNEY* movies. Those are not DISNEY movies. I mean, they are but the stories themselves are not Disney’s . Disney just adapted the stories. These stories are *public* *domain*. Actually ,Disney wanted to sue Golden Films for this shitty reason and they (Disney) lost!
That's fine, I was a fan of The Disney Afternoon and Jetix cartoons more than those overrated classic Disney movies anyway (*except for Tron: Legacy and Pirates of the Caribbean because they're the only 2 movies I liked.)
They based their films on public-domain sources, which is what Disney did with their movies. Disney sued Golden Films and Disney actually lost to them.
Yes, true, but where did you hear that Disney sued Golden Films? I think those Disney people who sued them didn't actually knew that Disney didn't make those stories. Golden Films and Jetlag Productions are not the only ones that adapted the same stories as Disney. Look at Burbank Animation Studios? They also have adapted many of the same fairytales, folktales and other stories as Disney. They also made their own adaptation of The Three Little Pigs, but that's not a knock-off of the Disney version in my opinion. None of those animated adaptations are knock-offs of the Disney versions. They are just *fricking* adaptations of the original stories. I hate it when some people call any of the animated adaptations of those stories as "knock-offs" to the Disney versions. That because they haven't read so much of the *fricking* fairytale/folktale books that exists or have watched much of the other *fricking* movie/TV Series adaptations of the same stories. I wish there were more people like me who know the existence of many versions of the same stories and not just the Disney versions.
I have seen a good few of their movies and yes, they were Mockbuster Central. But they were kings of it in the 90s. There were and still are plenty of other mockbuster studios, from Good Times to Burbank to Bevanfield to Bright Sparks. But the absolute worst was a Brazilian studio called "Video something". They were complete film diarrhoea. And don't get me started on Pheonix Games/Dingo Pictures (which released so-called "games" on PS2 which featured 45 minutes of "original" atrocious animation and voice-overs, the only way it was passed as a game was by them throwing in painting and jigsaw puzzles) or that Italian studio that released that Titanic cartoon movie where a cute octopus accidentally threw the flippin' iceburg!!!!!!
Great early CGI logo, terrible studio. But they did introduce us to Hong Ying Animation (the same people who later did the animation for Kaput and Zosky and Chowder).
We just began a youtube channel - goldenfilmclassics. Parts of the movies will be posted soon. Some of the songs are on first. You can find all of the films now on itunes, Amazon, Comcast and Hulu.
Since there are multiple letters here, I can replace them to Mickey Tsums. And since Tsum Tsums can duplicate by sneezing, I had to make the original Mickey Tsum sneeze and other Mickey Tsums come out of Mickey Tsum’s ears. Each Mickey Tsum holds a card with a letter printed on it. And each Mickey Tsum hoists the cards up to spell out Utah Shark Films.
Remember. This was animated in the early 90s. Computer animation was fresh and new at the time. It wouldn't get super noticeable until Toy Story came out in 1995.
I was so fascinated by this logo as a kid even though I saw it only twice, at the start and end of a bad Christmas film. I believe it was called “The Night Before Christmas”. Either way me and my mom hated it but the logo was the most memorable part of that experience and I still remember it to this day. Man I love weird stuff. EDIT: Just for gits and shiggles I decided to watch their take on Anastasia, and oh boy it was... OK at best. Interesting to hear Charles Martinet voice before he became Mario. And also, one of the songs had singing that was IMPOSSIBLE to hear. The backing track was too loud.

Me and my cousins used to call this the golden films of the month performance.. I don't know why 😂😂😂😂

@@kootunesscrewy Sure you do lol.
The first video tape with that logo I ever saw was "The Jungle King" and the second one I saw was "The Prince and the Pauper."
I love how the letters come out of nowhere
Nahh bro they came out of the backrooms💀
Yeah
@@wakeful_monthgaming8496 hence why some of them move and dance in such a weird manner
Just got off the short bus
Ngl they could be some great secret backrooms level fun entities
This logo and all of the memory are still funny as shit XD
It's kinda funny how all letters have their own walking style and only the "G" walks normal.

I remember seeing this on Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride once.
Did you see an old Encore on Demand bumper before the Golden Films logo when you would watch Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride?
I don't know yet.

Most of these people in the comments ignore the fact that Golden Films made cheap knockoffs of Disney movies
They based their films on public-domain sources, which is what Disney did with their movies. Disney sued Golden Films and Disney actually lost to them.

At least the people at Golden Films weren't like the folks over at Video Brinquedo. Now they are the real copycats.
@@Nectaria2 yes that's true but there's no denying they were trying to bank off the Disney versions

GOLDEN FILMS I thought you stopped using this logo in 2004!
It's a channel dedicated to this stuff
Since there are multiple letters here, I can replace them to Mickey Tsums.

I think the red L runs crazy too
I feel like Alphabet lore version would be better.
Everybody do the nightmare conga!
Why is the Yellow G Letter not dancing the conga?
Just Walkin'
The letters kinda remind me of these M&M guys
I remember this when I was at curtiss middle school in 2000 on vhs
0:04 That's I Letter's Special jumps.
At 0:11 it stands there raizing it's arms up and down.
I just can't help but notice the letters appear out of thin air.
Look closely and you'll see what I mean.
CGI was hard in the 90s compared to now.
If this logo was re-animated nowadays, it would've been more upgraded and expensive than before.
