All these shall pass and us SG United is going to go through it with minimal damages, loss, pains and destructions as possible! We Can Do It! May Buddha, God, Allah, Shiva... Bless Our World *
hi uncle, thank u for showing Singapore situation and your concern to wear mask for elderly, really have to be very careful and must not go out unless necessary, we all have to stay home and keep safe. Ive been to Singapore and love the country, the locals, the culture, all of us in the world have differences in a way but we all have a good heart when we discover each other. You are very kind and all Singaporeans, pls be careful and God bless you all. 😇
Many elderly people are clueless on how to wear a mask properly. Also they’re not used to wearing one and will rather not wear it and choose to remove them without hesitation. They are the ones who are not as adaptable to new changes and some can be very stubborn about their wants and habits. Indeed old habits die hard. The elderly are the tricky ones to deal with. We have to keep educating them and patience & encouragement are the way to do it.
Jeff, thank you for your comment. Our dialect will fade into history when we leave this good earth. The young ones don't want to learn this dialect from us 😢

You know, sometimes friend's words speaks louder than family (sounds familiar to teenage years😂). Not many SG TH-camr is around your age and spoke in so down to earth manner where they can resonate so well with. Will really appreciate your help.

Thank you Mr Chen for your effort & i wish you can advise our elderly out there to put on mask & stay home. Pls take care yourself. Be safe❤
Hi MrChen, good to know that u can speak kek and dare to use it in sg. I'm a kek too. Very happy to hear it on TH-cam. Wish the Cantonese in sg can make their vlog in Cantonese too. Hehehehehe.... . Stay home, stay safe everybody.
Haha. My generation may be the last to speak this dialect. My children refused to learn to speak Hakka. It's uncool for them. Teochew and Hokkien people call us 'Kek' or 'Khek'. We Hakka people call ourselves 'Hakka'.
Keep it up to advise the people to put on the face mask if go out of the house. The face mask must be worn properly. Best if tge govt. Of Singapore to do a video or the PM Lee to demostrate how to wear the reuseable face mask or the surgical face mask properly. Enforcing is good but people pf Singapore especially those stubborn type won't wear the face mask as not all elderly people were educated enough to wear the face mask. So keep up your good work on advising those people at Pek Kio area. Best if the MP for Pek Kio Community can do more .
Some elderly folks stay by themselves and keep to themselves. I try to show them how to wear correctly if I meet them. Thanks for your concern for them.
Pek Kio has many popular food stalls where people from far away will come to patronise. The prawn noodle, chicken rice and wanton noodles and some other stalls are reasonable priced and extremely popular. Thanks for your concern for my health and safety. I have stopped my filming, as I am taking the advice from my viewers . However, I still need to go to the market once in a while as I need to do marketing or to tabao food for the family.
You are doing a great job advising 👍👍 but there will be some kukus among us,whom think otherwise.😔 Some shops are really jacking up prices. As high as few dollars up... Shame on these shops...
The way they wears the mask reminds me of how my dad wear his to the eyes 😂😂😂 Have to teach him several times to ensure he wears it perfectly. Every life matters, each one of them esp the older generation. They have sacrificed and provided us with things that makes us who we are now. Some might not see it and see them as burden in their old age but without them none of us will be where we are now.
Shaheeda, thank you for your comment. This video was taken on Day 4 which is Friday 10, 2020. It's compulsory to wear masks at Markest, Food Centres, Buses, Trains and Malls from Sunday April 12. So we still see many people not wearing masks before April 12. Many are wearing masks below their nose or under their chin too.
Thanks for the video and for helping to educate the elderly with such kindness, as they are the most vulnerable :) we can remind them not to touch the inside of the mask or their faces with unwashed/unsanitised hands as well. I understand you probably didnt have time/opportunity to do so as the Aunty was struggling with so many things :)
Getting older folks to wear masks is already a difficult task. Getting them to wear it correctly will be the next step. I'm an old folk myself, so it's easier for me to reach out to them.
hi Mr Chen, huh I thought I saw you this morning taking videos at Pek Kio Market again.., is that you? Hope to catch up with you for a chat when things are better on social distancing? And where did you learn the video taking? With Handphone or Camera? It’s very well taken👍👍👍. Put in some background music and it will be awesome🤗🤗🤗
Hi David. This morning (Sunday) I went to Geylang Serai Market. I wasn't at Pek Kio Market today. I was there yesterday (Saturday). You must have seen somebody else. I'm a cameraman by profession. All my video jobs were cancelled since February. As I am free, I thought I might as well do some filming to let people know the situation in Singapore. I am using iPhone 7 plus with Zhiyun Smooth Q2 Gimbal. I think background music may not be appropriate for the current situation. I may make a summary video with music when Covid-19 blows over.
Thanks for asking people to wear mask... but still got many many people not wearing it... I think it ok if you are not going to crowded places.. now our mask become a pass to walk in shops... Masks n hp can't leave home without them..😀
Is there any way Singaporeans can deliver basic necessities to these older folks? I have watched some videos that have someone in charge of a block of apartments or area who take their orders and deliver to them. There are grassroots leaders who are able to do this right?
That will happen if there is Total Lockdown. In Singapore, there are a few volunteer groups doing that. Grassroots leaders aren't doing that as far as I know.
@@CMChen the government confused the people with the term Circuit Breaker.. so people are not urgent at all and not serious. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! LIFE AND DEATH
I feel sad to see elderly still going out on their own to buy necessities. Some elderly who still prefer not to wear mask (because too hot for them), and some who don't even know the correct way of wearing and storing. Seriously, the advert about correct way of washing hands, wearing and storing mask should be broadcast everywhere - tv, radio, malls, HDB etc, like non-stop so that all these good habit practices will be engraved into everyone's mind. Especially for those elderly who aren't tech savvy and have no one to educate them, at least they can see those pictures everywhere. *or is Singapore already doing this? Sorry, if I am wrong because Im not into tv and radio.
I agree with what you said. But for some reason, encouraging the wearing of a mask to protect yourselves seems not to be in keeping with the mission of our authorities. But it is our lives at stake, so just wear one especially in aircond environment.
You going around increases the chances of infection for others. You know you can be infected without knowing and carry on infecting others? Stay home and don't be one of those stubborn old people. Also, don't think mask will protect you completely.
