I remember having wonderful camping holidays in Tenby and visiting Caldey Islans with my parents and brothers., in the late 50s. Such beautiful places, most of all I can still smell the perfumes you could by on Caldey Island, which was made and sold by the Monks living in the Monistry there. Wonderful relaxing peaceful places. Thanks for the memories.
Ive watched so many videos lately people on holiday all over the world or on days out and everyone has been caught out not having cash. Maybe it's just me and people i know , we never leave ourselves without cash just incase. I personally cannot rely on cashless payments because of the Internet. I was watching a family on holiday in the middle of nowhere in Africa going into a safari and payment was cash to get in to eat was cash to buy gifts was cash, not one of them had cash ?? . I know it happens somewhere in every country only cash. Or Internet down. I'm loving your travel video's every time i watch one i want to go to the place you in.😊
Hello from Carmarthenshire 👋 loved watching this, brought back some great memories for me. I haven't been to Caldey for years! It's such a beautiful place; I always used to pick up the fudge when I visited. I had no idea that you could visit St Catherine's, is it free to enter? We are actually going to Tenby on the weekend and would love to tag it on to our day. Great vlog 😁 Stacey xx
Hi Stacey sorry about my late reply, to go into St Catherine fort you pay a man at the bottom of the steps in cash or card just a few pound each. There’s not much to see inside but the views are amazing! Xx
@Diaryofatravelgeek oh gosh no need to apologise at all! We've just gotten back from Tenby actually. We went to visit the Tudor Merchant House. We couldn't go to the Fort unfortunately because the tide was in. I'll plan it better next time. Hope you're having a good weekend xx
You must live a very sheltered life to have not heard anything! I also live nearby, and everyone I know is aware of it! There was a short documentary on TV about it, and there are a few on TH-cam!
I watched to bring back memories ❤
It’s such a beautiful island ☺️
