Moira's crowbar is devastating with a bit of skilltree boost. You blind an ennemy with Moira, you switch to Claire and kick it, then switch back to Moira and end it with a crowbar finish when the ennemy is down. There's tons of nice mechanics in this game, you can really play it in many ways.
The plot would have been more powerful and sad but in a good way if Moira actually killed instead of just injuring her younger sister by accident with Barry's gun. It would have explained her gun phobia better and made their hate relationship more believable and their reconciliation in the end more heart warming. Also, it would have strengthened Barry and Natalia's own relationship since Barry would have by then "lost" both his daughters, one literally and the other emotionally, and Natalia being a lonely young orphan who gets adopted by Barry in the end kind of replacing Barry's younger daughter and giving a new younger sister to Moira would have been more touching.
This. It feels weird wishing a kid would die but hey them’s the breaks. But your totally right in the impact of the death of a child. Thanks for your feedback and thank you for watching
@@NedleyTV I think Capcom didn't want to go that dark into Barry and his family drama, hence why they played it safer by not having Polly die, but in a franchise as dark as RE and for a character (Polly) that we never even see onscreen, they could have killed her off despite being just a child.

It's interesting that I went from RE4 remake to this, and seeing many of the similarities! I played Revelations 2 once when it was new, so I forgot so much of it this play through
Resident Evil Revelations 2 feels like the game that fuses the classic feel of the old era and the newer era: you can see this in a few ways…the way you have to knock things down or the way Claire will automatically move into position to move under something or onto something, the stagger you have in the remakes of 2 & 3 is seen with Natalia after she’s dropped a canister shell stagger in this way for a couple seconds, the way after cutscenes you character will transition into the over the shoulder so you can start to control them.

Ashley came across as much more relatable and likable, and Leon displayed a lot more appreciation and concern for her on their journey. Luis was expanded upon significantly in the remake as well. His partnership/ chemistry with Leon was given WAY more time to develop, and his character arc and motivations are much better in the remake. His death in the original was sudden and didn’t feel earned whatsoever, to the point were Leon’s reaction felt forced. Ashley even acknowledges Luis’ death, unlike the original. His additional screen-time, dialogue, and in game files were a welcome change. Krauser’s backstory was given much more context and emotional weight than the original. The game gave much more detail and clarity to his former partnership with Leon, and their dialogue even mentioned operation Javier. Their awareness of each others tactics and tendencies in battle helped convey their history more effectively this time around. Leon was also much more reluctant to kill Krauser, which made the moment more impactful. Combine these additions with tons of new lore for Mendez and the Ganados, some additional ties to Leon’s backstory from RE2, richer environmental storytelling, more cutscenes that set the stage for the Separate Ways DLC, more occult and religious themes that expand on the Los Illuminados, demonstrating more of the effects of the plagas infection, and more, and I think RE4 remake is clearly a more fleshed out story and world than the original (and I’ve played both versions MANY times). The remake isn’t “perfect”, but the story and world building is an improvement over the original in many ways.
I literally just finished playing the campaign and side stories with my brother and we absolutely loved it! He isn’t a fan of horror games and so I was player 1 and he absolutely loved playing the support role. We are currently playing through Leon’s campaign in RE6 and after this we are gonna go through RE2 remake swapping controllers. Even though this game might be controversial amongst RE fans it is a game made with casual players in mind.

This game was a fresh bake for the series & in all honesty 2 player was great. Me & my brother did a few tweaks to allow the second characters to have weapons but instead of a full load out we had 2 weapons each. One would do handgun, assault rifles & other would do harder weapons like a magnum

RE Rev2 with a higher budget would have gone down as one of the better Resident Evils to be honest. The story, the atmosphere, the voice acting, the enemy designs, it was all there. Just kind of held back by a low budget. What's more interesting is when you find out it was made by the same Capcom leads who eventually went on to do the RE2 and RE4 remakes. Those guys clearly knew their stuff. RE Rev2 I feel laid the ground work for the renaissance of Resident Evil that we are seeing now. It walked so the franchise could fly again..... It also had this Code Veronica like feel to it as well. The environment and setting was just genuinely creepy, as were the enemies.
6:30 I think Halo does a good job with it's invisible enemies, they still have a recognisable shimmer and they show up on motion sensor, so if you're paying attention to your surroundings during the chaos of the battle they pose a decent but fun challenge.
i love this game especialy the merc mode the fact you can basicly make your own kind of class with the perks loved making a full melee spec with the katana.

I played over 300 hours Revelations 2 on my Switch because of the freaking great Raid Mode. Revelation 1 has a good raid mode but man Rev2 just feels great to play. I have still 5 characters left to fully 100% them but I can't get enough of it. The story is okay but i played it only once 3 years ago when I bought it. OG RE4 is my favourite game overall but I only have 150 hourst playtime with it and RE4 Remake has 80 hours (yet).
Have no clue what you're talking about because the Raid Mode in Revelation 2 is junk, it's basically quantity over quality. You're also in the absolute extreme vocal minority to even say that, but the campaign is debatable, although I prefer the first one as well. The Raid Mode in Revelations 1 is actually challenging and features full levels. The sequel is bite-sized levels with poor design and it's not nearly as challenging. It's an extreme downgrade. The sequel believe it or not actually had a much smaller budget and was released as a budget title in episodes.
They should've kept that direction of style and continue the series that way, 7 and 8 are damn fine but they don't hit the resi vibes for me. Revelations 2 became my favorite part in a instant and is indeed highly underrated.
I still think I prefer 7 (I’m leaving off 8 as it was a downgrade) but if they kept in the style of rev 2 I would be none sadder either. Thank you for watching

Just finished a replay on survival difficulty. This has gotta be a top tier RE game.The campaign is great for so many reasons and Raid Mode is so much fun to play with such incredible depth it probably surpasses 6s mercernaries mode, which I always found to be peak

Oh god I've just remembered that RE:Village was supposed to be Revelations 3 before they stuck Ethan in it and made it a main game. So literature-themed spin-offs could have included Gothic Horror but alas it was not to be, instead it became folded into the Molded.

Revelations 2 is one if the most innovative and underrated games in the series, Just look at Village and how it basically copied Rev.2 when it comes to the strory only difference being that Barry is just a better character. I love Rev. 2 and i always find myself coming back to this game every once in awhile weather it be Story or Raid.
Wish they would make the campaign true online co-op. I understand the difference between playing as moira vs claire / natalia vs burton but it would’ve been so fun man. Plus, to make full use of the characters you usually have to equip one or the other. Still a pretty good game. I feel that if the controls were even more smooth and if qte prompts were replaced with button tap/mashing would’ve been better.
This was the best last real feeling Resident Evil game in my opinion. Have not seen Claire in 10 years. I was disappointed that Weskers sister was killed in the end, & in RE fashion the island is blown up. This was a huge mistake in my opinion. Alex Wesker would have been a great continuation into the mainline series. Or continued original RE characters in the Revelations series with Alex Wesker as the boss in Revelations 3. This was the best Resident Evil Co Op, & is way better than RE5 in every way! Moira would be a great addition in the regular games. Revelations 2 is the only RE game in recent memory that I have played that felt like a true RE game when you first play it. The Winters family just needs to go. I cant stand what happened to Resident Evil. There is this huge revamp to people praise 7, but 7 is like fear, and its about a moldy house 🤷🏼 8 is a spinoff game to me more than revelations deviated from the series. If Capcom & Resident was smart. They would continue Revelations as side story games, with whatever they do the mainline games whatever then. But you can be a witch with Rose dlc 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 So stupid… This game was the last time the survival horror element & original character was in a game. The Remakes do not count. But if Code Veronica is not remade before 5. I am so done with this series. Also throw away characters have a huge plot hole in this series. As RE6 tried to say goodbye to the original’s. But remade 2,3 & 4. Without making them make sense with 7 & 8. Because 7&8 are so diss connected. Love Hate this game series now.
Im a fan, but buying the episodes is a big turn off for me. I just bought the game, because i love resident evil and i thought Revelations 1 was great. But there's 5 missions i have to purchase smh. Besides that, this video was fire. Great video.

I have nothing but great memories of playing this game time and time again in my PS4 back in the day! Does anyone knows if the Steam version runs smoothly? (no frame pacing issues, no stutters) And can I change the resolution and frame rate freely in that version? (1440p, 4K, etc; 120/144fps cap and *uncapped* fps too?)
I did one playthrough with a couch friend Been Moira is Really fun, The flashlight mechanic and the crowbar are really fun to use, and I didn't feel like I had nothing to do I cannot say it for Natalia (Nathalia?) Spot enemy is only useful in specific situation, and she can only do something in combat with a brick (which break in 2/3 hits), she can't even break a box without one In conclusion, Claire/Moira is a really fun multiplayer, Barry/Nathalia isnt

Revelations 2 was initially shaping up to be be as good as 4… oozing with creepy atmosphere, then immersion was broken by having to play as Barry and re-tread old ground. Had they have just kept Claire and Moira as playable characters and Barry a supporting NPC (maybe replay game as Barry), it would’ve been much better.

i am start playing this from 2020 on Internet cafe pc ,was very bad experience of that old cpu and gpu ,after i buy gaming laptop ,10th Gen Intel core I7 10875H CPU and RTX 2070 GPU ,got more better graphic than Internet cafe ! i am not experienced player , use about 3 months to unlocked over 90% of reward ! still playing this in 2024 Jan. in Windows 10 ,was refuse upgrade to Windows 11 .was a lot of user complain about Windows 11 , and i have been using Windows 11 ultrabook laptop for a short period ,feel suck and real so bad ! plan to buy new gaming pc / laptop ,not sure can these old resident evil's games can run well or not in Windows 11 !? share you experience with me if your playing on Windows 11 PC !?
This game is terrible. It's just more of the same constant crowd control crap that RE4 introduced to the franchise. There's no tension to encounters and they lack gravity and impact when being shot. The enemies are like orcs and goblins, wielding hammers and all the crap we've come to expect in modern RE games. There's a companion mechanic again, reminding me how much better the RE Outbreak scenarios are than anything from RE4 onward. The locations don't seem interesting, and this game starts off very weakly in a dungeon.
Ehhh I replayed this one recently and I feel it aged very poorly compared to Revelations 1. It feels like a cheap indie game now. I think the recent remakes have spoiled me when it comes to RE games.
The game had a lot of good ideas that I really wish they'd revisit, overall I disliked it. Despite not being a very long game, it FELT like it took forever, which is the worst of both worlds, and is also an indication that the level design was too repetitive and wasn't good. It had a decent variety of enemies, but all of them are rather same-y and didn't have the level of personality that 5 and 6's had. I didn't pay much attention to 2015's zeitgeist, but something tells me SAW and other torture-porn must have been popular as the enemy designs and locations felt like they were trying too hard with all the barbed wire aesthetics thrown around. And no matter how you slice it, 5/6's melee was far more satisfying to pull off than the Revelations' charge up attacks.
This game was shit especially the stupid sewer, where you both direct Barry and the girl open a door, run to it, repeat the same shit like three effing times.
For ME, on par with the first, but if I was rating them compared to the remakes, worse the 2R better than 3R and worse than 4r. This feels wired to compare though as these new remakes are all reased in the last 6 years with all of those being on a new engine that honestly impressive, as opposed to rev 2 which I would bucket in a separate silo on the farm that is Resodent Evil.
I ran outta ammo during one of the final bosses and ended up killing her with a brick as Natalia. So the resource limitations here are real.
So I have to say, that is awesome lol. Thank you for watching

As a fan of the game I loved the game and do hope revaluations gets another spin off as to what happens after the good ending

I loved Raid Mode so much, I played this game on Vita, PS3, PS4 and the Switch. I don't remember anything about the plot though.

Revelations 2 is one if the most innovative and underrated games in the series, Just look at Village and how it basically copied Rev.2 when it comes to the strory only difference being that Barry is just a better character. I love Rev. 2 and i always find myself coming back to this game every once in awhile weather it be Story or Raid.

Wish they would make the campaign true online co-op. I understand the difference between playing as moira vs claire / natalia vs burton but it would’ve been so fun man. Plus, to make full use of the characters you usually have to equip one or the other.
Still a pretty good game. I feel that if the controls were even more smooth and if qte prompts were replaced with button tap/mashing would’ve been better.

This was the best last real feeling Resident Evil game in my opinion. Have not seen Claire in 10 years.
I was disappointed that Weskers sister was killed in the end, & in RE fashion the island is blown up.
This was a huge mistake in my opinion.
Alex Wesker would have been a great continuation into the mainline series.
Or continued original RE characters in the Revelations series with Alex Wesker as the boss in Revelations 3.
This was the best Resident Evil Co Op, & is way better than RE5 in every way!
Moira would be a great addition in the regular games.
Revelations 2 is the only RE game in recent memory that I have played that felt like a true RE game when you first play it.

There is this huge revamp to people praise 7, but 7 is like fear, and its about a moldy house 🤷🏼 8 is a spinoff game to me more than revelations deviated from the series.

Without making them make sense with 7 & 8.
Because 7&8 are so diss connected.

Im a fan, but buying the episodes is a big turn off for me. I just bought the game, because i love resident evil and i thought Revelations 1 was great. But there's 5 missions i have to purchase smh. Besides that, this video was fire. Great video.

Episodic stuff like this, telltale games and hitman 1 reboot was an interesting idea and as they go, this game was maybe the best as I said in the video because it had set dates. However I would much rather just be sold a game, complete. I’m glad to see THAT trend gone though, albeit there is more dumb shit companies want bud to by and do. Been Moira is Really fun, The flashlight mechanic and the crowbar are really fun to use, and I didn't feel like I had nothing to do
I cannot say it for Natalia (Nathalia?)
Spot enemy is only useful in specific situation, and she can only do something in combat with a brick (which break in 2/3 hits), she can't even break a box without one
In conclusion, Claire/Moira is a really fun multiplayer, Barry/Nathalia isnt

Revelations 2 was initially shaping up to be be as good as 4… oozing with creepy atmosphere, then immersion was broken by having to play as Barry and re-tread old ground. Had they have just kept Claire and Moira as playable characters and Barry a supporting NPC (maybe replay game as Barry), it would’ve been much better.

Moria can use the flashlight which it pretty useful.
I really enjoyed the Raid mode on the Nintendo Switch. It was my first RE game and I thought the story was good enough.
this game is 95 percent great with 5 percent that sucks the idea of alex wesker as the main villain only proves that RE needs wesker to be the villain

First re game was the first revelations still my favorite game couldn’t even beat the final boss even had to have someone else do it for me and they couldn’t kill em and till this day I haven’t picked up the game to finish but anyway played re6, this one re2r re3r (not as good as I hoped was short) re4r, and re7 and 8 even played re1/re0 was planning on getting re5 but I heard you must play with a friend or whoever so not sure about buying it
Playing with a friend on 5 isn’t mandatory. Your partner is controlled by AI as well. I beat it years back in 2009.
i am start playing this from 2020 on Internet cafe pc ,was very bad experience of that old cpu and gpu ,after i buy gaming laptop ,10th Gen Intel core I7 10875H CPU and RTX 2070 GPU ,got more better graphic than Internet cafe !

This game is terrible. It's just more of the same constant crowd control crap that RE4 introduced to the franchise. There's no tension to encounters and they lack gravity and impact when being shot. The enemies are like orcs and goblins, wielding hammers and all the crap we've come to expect in modern RE games. There's a companion mechanic again, reminding me how much better the RE Outbreak scenarios are than anything from RE4 onward. The locations don't seem interesting, and this game starts off very weakly in a dungeon.

Ehhh I replayed this one recently and I feel it aged very poorly compared to Revelations 1. It feels like a cheap indie game now. I think the recent remakes have spoiled me when it comes to RE games.

The game had a lot of good ideas that I really wish they'd revisit, overall I disliked it. Despite not being a very long game, it FELT like it took forever, which is the worst of both worlds, and is also an indication that the level design was too repetitive and wasn't good. It had a decent variety of enemies, but all of them are rather same-y and didn't have the level of personality that 5 and 6's had. I didn't pay much attention to 2015's zeitgeist, but something tells me SAW and other torture-porn must have been popular as the enemy designs and locations felt like they were trying too hard with all the barbed wire aesthetics thrown around. And no matter how you slice it, 5/6's melee was far more satisfying to pull off than the Revelations' charge up attacks.
This game was shit especially the stupid sewer, where you both direct Barry and the girl open a door, run to it, repeat the same shit like three effing times.

How does this hold up against the 1st one and re2 remake? Re3 remake and 4 remake?
For ME, on par with the first, but if I was rating them compared to the remakes, worse the 2R better than 3R and worse than 4r. This feels wired to compare though as these new remakes are all reased in the last 6 years with all of those being on a new engine that honestly impressive, as opposed to rev 2 which I would bucket in a separate silo on the farm that is Resodent Evil.
Revelations series is actually saving RE nowadays, yeah don't count the remakes, RE series is so bad nowadays they have to keep making remakes now
