Nope I wait when the Mini 4 pro comes. The Mini 3 is no upgrade for me. The Smart rc has no internet so you still need your Phone. And it is a ugly drone.
It’s exactly as you say, a brilliant drone. Just had my mini 3 pro out in the snow. I followed your instructions when I had the mini 2 and waited for the Mini 3 coming out. It’s much better than the Mini 2. Love the all round sensors and the vertical turn on the gimbal gives me some great pictures. Thank you so much for helping me with your knowledge. I’m getting there, slowly lol. ❤
Just crashed my mini 2 and bought mini 3 to replace it. I would add that Mini 3 is DRASTICALLY quieter. So much that it really does make a difference that people are not going to be as bothered or even notice that you fly in the area.
That's probably my favorite upgrade about the 3 airframe. I've noticed its not quite as snappy as a flyer but makes up with this by being so quiet in air Hate that it needs all new batteries though.
I totally agree with buying the MIni 3 over the Mini 2. My main decison now is to decide whether the Mavic 3 Classic is worth four times the price of the Mini 3 when a comparable number of battieries are purchased, etc.
Just ordered the 3 pro after watching this as one estate agent is wanting some video of some local locations for their web site and i didnt think my mini 2 was good enough
For som3 reason the 3 has alot less clarity at 4× zoom than the mini 2 does, I can be 4 or 500 feet up with the 2 and still have decent detail at 4×. Mini 3 I have to about 100 feet or less to get decent clarity at 4× zoom, it does take nice night time shots though but I'm preaty dissapointed with the video feed clarity.
Hi I hope you can help or make people aware I got a Mini 3 at Christmas I have not really flown it yet but I took it 3 ft up and believe I had an issue with my IMU and I broke 2 props on my rear starboard arm. I replaced the Props and when I decided to order replacements I went for Master Air Screw as they are not as brittle material. When I looked at the motors on the Mini 3 they are different to the Mini 3 Pro I believe as the screws supplied are smaller and dont fit. I contacted some one who had a mini 3 Pro who he photographed his motors and like wise I did the same and I believe the Mini 3 has Mini 2 Motors on it. I have fitted the Master Air Screw Props with the same Screws that came in the Fly More Pack and they are Secure and I have hovered the drone in my living room and all is fine. If you remember the Mavic Mini and the Mini 2 had different props ie one had a grey stripe and one an orange but the graphics on the Mini 3 and Mini3 Pro are the same. question being should I use these props or not and also if you go on Amazon and put Mini 3 in you get a moajority that put Mini 3 Pro products up. As I suscribe to various channels no body has mentioned this difference in the motors so is it worth informing people about another hidden difference ?
the only down side I've found is that the mini 3 over sharps camera recording introducing artifacts, I would like to have an ON/OFF sharpening checkbox
I have the Mini 2 and love it, for my needs the only advantage the mini 3 has is extra battery life and the F 1.7 for low light, i don't need verticle camera, With my TV and PC only being 1080p means i can't get the full benefit if HDR
Watched many of your videos but never knew your name until scrolling down into the comments......Hi Darren. Of course the Mini 3 is better than the Mini 2 in virtually every way that's the cycle of life technology so to do review of two DJI drones separated by over two and then criticize the older one for not having these features over the newest model is kinda weak in terms of a review. The reality is the Mini 2 has earned its place and I've no doubt in the market share it beats the Mini 3 X multiples. I highly value your reviews mate especially given I'm reasonably new to this hobby and keeping a super close ear to your opinion regarding the Air 2s and the Mavic 3 Classic as I'm close to going one way or the other........but this one let you down. Thank you Darren. Any upgrade is worth it (pay more, get more), it depends what you want from your drone. At the moment, I love my DJI Mini 3 Pro (but would also like the Avata and Mavic 3 Classic!.....). As an aside, I would love to see how you have set up your studio (no worries, I'm not stalking). It would be great to see what kit you are using to produce your videos.
Just picked one of these up at Costco for $429 with controller, ND filters, and SD card. Sadly my wife confiscated it until Christmas… so here I am, watching videos 😅
@@1empyre1life really? I might need to check that out. I purchased the mini 3. It actually went even lower so I returned it and bought it again for $379. I have had a blast with it since I finally opened it as my “Christmas present” on Christmas.
Yep. I have to assume this guy has DJI links. Don't buy shit for the sake of it. Point 1 - 7 mins extra battery. Mini 2 batteries are available second hand cheaper, pick up some extras if really needed and save a few hundred quid. 2 - vertical. Everyone asks for some vertical content, but I've never been asked for exclusively vertical content so I'd have to get the shots twice. You'll still be shooting landscape... 3 - HDR - Shoot log and learn to edit. The cameras native dynamic range is all that matters. HDR is essentially just an edit. 4 - the new remote isn't a free upgrade. That's where your extra 2-300 quid is going. If that's worth it for you then fair enough, but it's not a side by side comparison. Didn't stay for point 5 because the first four were non starters!
horizontal v vertical dont matter. it needs peopel t orealise they should be holding their phones horizontal to watch all good videos. the rc controller with screen is crap, its not anywhere near as bright as even the cheapo samsung A7 lite tablet and the whoekl thing of the rc controller feels like cheap toy. plus you cannto get apps like litchi or maven on the screen controller , so the screen and vertical stuff is not even worth having... you never mentioned it is a bit slower than the mini 2 , you never mentioned its now as agile as the mini 2.. and realy suprised you never mentioned how quiet the mini 3 is ...
Is it worth the upgrade? Mini 2 or Mini 3 ? Let me know
Mini 3
Nope I wait when the Mini 4 pro comes.
The Mini 3 is no upgrade for me.

Mini 3
But Mini 4 Pro looks almost the same as Mini 3, so all of a sudden it's not ugly??@@stefanbroeks4884

Definitely a great first drone plus it's a lot quieter. Happy New year Darren 😁👌👍 🇬🇧

You forgot to mention the + size battery puts it over the 250gr limit.
Thx so much I just bought the mini 3 I actually wanted to buy the 2 but this set me over (it also can shoot 48mp vs 12 from the 2)
the only down side I've found is that the mini 3 over sharps camera recording introducing artifacts, I would like to have an ON/OFF sharpening checkbox
If you dont have the mini 2, then get the mini 3 or pro. If you already got mini 2, not worth upgrade. I would wait for the mini 4.
great video thanks!

You can buy unofficial 3600mah batteries and get like 40min flight time on those with mini 2
Just crashed my mini 2, looking for reasons to upgrade or buy another mini 2
Just send it in for service
I jus got a new one in box never flown for 250 should I sell it and get a mini 3 pro or keep it I was gonna be using it for music videos
Bit of a pain that the 3 doesn't have the propeller securing mechanism that the 2 has.

Haha you’ll be a pro on Boxing Day tho
Which version did you get? Costco has what seems to be a similar deal now for $299.

DJI's new controllers are less compatible with they're older drones
Hey dm!
Certain amount of flogging the same old Subject going on here
I just going to buy a mini 2

Nah. Bought one to test it myself and it's noticably better than mini 2. Sorry if that hurt your feelings.
I'd agree with this before but the price of the mini 3 has gone down since. And somehow the mini 2 is harder to find
This video hurts my soul, man.
😂

ok oprah
When you compare footage side by side, show the same scene, what you did is useless!
