Henryville Tornado 3.2.2012.mov

This video was shot on highway 31 about 5 miles south of Henryville, IN. When I ducked into my Jeep it was beginning to downpour followed by quarter to golfball sized hail. About as close as I'd care to get to a beast like this. These cells were major hail producers.

I can't believe people were driving in to the storm like that if they wasn't storm chasers..... Maybe they were oblivious to what it was but I don't see how they could have been?

It had 200+ mph wind a high end f-4 very violent and very destructive tornado not to mention it was moving at 70 mph at times

That's likely due to the fact that this is a rural area where the only nearby Fire Stations are staffed by Volunteer Firefighters with limited resources and equipment.

There was definitely sirens in town.
