I remember being young and used to be a "gangsta rap" guy, and noticed when i started to "grow up" how maturing makes your life and lifestyle preferences and likes start to change. This was one of those songs when channel surfing I would catch this song on CMT and be like, hmmm, i like this song. Maybe country music isn't that bad. Thank God for maturing!
I just discovered this song a couple of months ago and I'm seriously addicted. I can't stop either watching the video or listening to it on my playlist.
@@hollyevans3716vdd minha banda Country preferida ❤ e essa música é linda minha preferida dos Countrys 👏🤠🎶🎵🎤🎸 bem daquelas vozes bem Country raiz mesmo.
I hear this song and suddenly I’m 5 years old again, riding down Highway 124 in Braselton, Georgia in a 1984 Cutlass Supreme with my grandmother. What a time to be a kid. All those cow pastures are subdivisions and warehouses now. I miss all of it so much.
This song hits me hard. Born in 95 in Miami my dad is an avid hunter and would take me to Alabama to hunt deer and we would play this song and other country classics. Anyways this song embodied him he always lived life in a hurry which would drive me and my mom nuts. He’s in his 60s now retired and got nowhere to go nothing to rush to but he’s still in a hurry!
I use to hear this song all the time as a kid when my mom played it on the radio and I didn't think much of it, but I'll be 30 next year and it now this song hits me a little differently.
Love the old men watching everyone rush through life as they sit back. Timeless song! Reminds me ofy parents in the 90s dancing all over the place. Life moves so fast dont forget to enjoy the little things.
When I was a wee lass, I'd scamper about the Texas prairie listening to 90s country radio. One day in my father's body shop, this song came on and I decided to perform it aloud for what I thought was an imaginary audience. I turned around to find him and a couple local yokels watching me, beers in hand, trying so hard not to laugh. M o r t i f i e d 😂--but here I am, still singing along w/ the same enthusiasm! 🤠
2:22 When I was A little boy I was always listening to country music 🎶, Even Alabama they where one of my favorite band's that I would listen to any chance I had to. They're still are now and I just turned 40 and this is one of my favorite song's, The only that still bugs me on this video is the drummer he's playing regularly through the whole song then boom 💥 he's using his hand.
To be honest as a kid growing up, said I never liked country but grew up with it, it was playing at home, parties, etc. deep down I did like it. After going to jamboree in the hills 2000-02 seeing many from Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Clint Black, Hank Williams jr, Alan Jackson, Travis trit, Charlie Daniels n many more, it’s growing on me more as I get older. Edit: this was at the jamboree in the hills 4 day country festival I seen all these
Gosh this song ..in junior high we had this old man that drove our bus and played nothing but country music and this would come on everyday on the bus ride to school around 1992/1993...I hated that school and hearing the same country songs every morning...don't get me wrong Alabama has some great music it's just the memory of this song lol
1967 Plyouth Baracuda and a 1964 Chevrolet biscayne. Sweet Rides. I had a friend who had a 1967 Plymouth Baracda. We Loved that car. He drove it home one night, about 1:30 a.m. and parked the car, by his bed room window. An hour later, he was awaken to the sound of his Baracuda starting. He jumped out of Bed and ran to the outside of his house, just in time to see his Baracuda go out his drive way... NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN!! Heart Broke isn't the word for it.. A week later he was drafted by the Army, to Vietnam. He never got to return home... boo hoo hoo.. Loving memories..
I had one of the worst jobs in my life when I first heard this song. It was a hostile environment, with a lot of stress. Whenever I heard this song, it lifted my spirits and reminded me that all I had to do was live and die. So, why worry? Thanks for playing this.
This song makes me remember back when I was a kid sitting at my grandmothers house during the summer while my father worked and wanting to be literally anywhere but there lol. What I wouldn’t give to be back there again just one more time!… and not be in such a hurry to grow up!
I was 58 and I walked so fast and humming this song at Altus AFB and 2 of the female students were singing this as I walked by. They said they hoped they had the same energy that I have. They had their parents come to see me and one of the guys was a friend from High School and he said he saw the video his daughter made and he asked," Dave how do you have so much speed and energy.?" I told him I am ADHD and would not wish this on anyone. He laughed and we had a good time. The other guy was his cousin from a different town.
I've always loved Alabama, they can do no wrong song wise, in my opinion. I just recently started listening to them again, after a hiatus of several years due to life circumstances. Positive, emotional, and really talented musicians. It's amazing how many people I know that have never heard of them. I don't know anyone who has heard their music, and didn't like it.
I worked for a mechanical contractor years ago (Decatur,Al). Superintendent told me they hired a young who was always late to work. His band practiced music at night. The "Super" told him to do one or the other play music or come to work on time. Sooo...the guy quit to practice with his band. It was Randy Owen...lmao. "Super" told me the "kid" made the right choice...
I read that Randy Van Warner wrote this song. He wrote many songs for others and himself despite being called a one hit wonder !! Not in my eyes this is an awesome song!!
Randy Vanwarmer was such a talented singer/songwriter. He was not a one hit wonder. Many of his beautiful ballads can be found on TH-cam, and many have recorded his songs. He also wrote "I Guess It Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes" which was a hit for the Oak Ridge Boys. Sadly, he died at the young age of 48 of leukemia.
I'm now 33 and I remember this song when I was a kid. My dad use to play this song and band a lot. My dad passed away at only 54 from cancer just 6 years ago. I miss being a kid so much.
My mom passed away April 9th of this year. I haven't heard this song in years. And in the car it came on and all these memories came flooding back and I broke down. My mom loved this song and would actually do a little work out video on VHS with this song and a few others on it. Crying singing and then the phone rings and it's the guy I just showed her house to and he had an offer and we took it. Best offer yet. It was my mom telling me that this is it and go with it.
