I think DJI designed the mic 2's with wind resistance and ruggedness in mind. The plastic grill doesn't help with the quality so it needs a lav to sound as good as its competitors. I usually run the dialogue processor on Davinci on it and don't notice it sounding bad until you compare it to a really good sounding mic. BTW, you know your sound!
Thanks a lot . The lav mic really had a full range sound to it. Almost Shure level to me. Did you get that? Maybe I'm crazy for saying that but, hearing them one after the other I got that. It could use a little EQ and compression to get it right there. Lol. The hardest part was trying to get the levels to perfectly match. This is the first time I tried to match the audio and switch between the mics in this way in final cut.
@@TwoTimesRmedia DEFINITELY a much fuller sound. I've never used anything Shure level before but that would be an interesting comparison to see just how good it is.
No I made sure to turn that off when I first got these mics. Especially because of the first initial reviews of these mics showing that it was an issue. I did notice that with the last firmware update it seemed to have turned it back on and I turned it back off. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it a lot.
@@TwoTimesRmedia ah good to know. thanks for responding. kind of surprising to hear the difference between the lav and the transmitter. think i'm going to pick this up though. appreciate your work!
