I make cards so I definitely send out about 25 cards at Christmas. I start making them in the summer so I don’t have to rush. I also send out birthday, Valentines, Halloween, Thanksgiving cards to family and dear friends. Loving this series.
I also make cards and send out for all occasions as well. I even made up a variety of cards and made card boxes to put the cards in and are gifting them for Christmas gifts.
I do send out a few cards, but not at all what i used too. Love the punched tin. If the new goodwill is near by. Go back and look if the two things you didn't get or didn't see, and see if it still there. If you wanted one for a long time its worth the trip. ❤❤❤
Thanks for showing your new goodwill . That was a large piece of material at a steel of a price and i like punch tin also . That was a very nice thrift store . ❤
At our church we have little boxes set up with the alphabet on each box. The congregation can put Christmas cards to each other in them free with no postage so you can get lots of Christmas cards. Sometimes in between Sunday school and church the youth will pass out the cards. Or you can look under your last initial and pick up your cards yourself. The elderly seem to really enjoy getting the cards 😊 of course I enjoy it too. You can decorate with them
I always crochet christmas decorations to send out to friends and family as christmas 'cards'. I used to make cross stitch cards but since I had a really bad infection on my hand after Carpal tunnel surgery, 11 years ago, I cannot hold such a small needle anymore. So now I crochet. Today I'm sending out tiny crochet christmas sweaters.
Yes, I send a few cards to family in another state that I don’t see often. Also a few close friends who still enjoy them… money or gift certificate fit in cards too. Merry Christmas Julie❤️
Well Julie, you got your answer, quite unceremoniously I might add.😆 Maybe that shelf is still there. If it was me I would be burning a trail back to see, just in case. That little white half moon shaped dish is a bone dish. I love them, especially for the men. They curve around the plate and one can put their chicken, lamb chop or beef bones on it. The man of the house hates piling bones to the side of his plate. 😒
Yes , me n our familys does mail out Christmas n every seasonal holiday as well..birthday cards, Easter, valentine's Thanksgiving, Yes we send alot of cards every year..thanks for sharing with us today..
Julie I used a piece of ribbon tacked in my dining room doorway and used double sided tape to stick the cards to and it worked great. I remember my mom had a miniature clothesline of red and green twine with little red and green clothes pins!
Unfortunately I do not send cards anymore. When my boys were young my oldest son use to make our Christmas cards. He did the art work and I would have them printed. My family and friends loved those cards. 😊
Julie, what a nice store, seemed to be so neatly organized. Love the fabric and the tin. I still send out cards I will say I sent more out this year than normal. See ya tomorrow ❤️🤍💚
I have one of the wire photo display stands. I’m using mine for Christmas cards right now but you can display ornaments too with it. I leave mine out all, year. Good video, thanks for taking us along! ❤ oh and no i don’t send cards anymore and definitely don’t receive as many Christmas cards as i use to. 😕
Wow, a nice clean Goodwill with items nicely displayed. My local Goodwill is too small, crowded, and “junky” looking. All of that makes it difficult to find something decent as items tend to get damaged due to the crowding and constant moving.
I am one of them that send out Christmas cards through the mail. Not as many as I used to but then do not receive as many as I used to. Thanks for sharing!
I do still send out cards but l find we don't get as many as we used to as well. The postage is so expensive. One way to display them that l like is to take a holiday wide ribbon or burlap ribbon and go around a kitchen cabinet then u can tape or staple each card to the ribbon to be displayed. 😊
I havnt sent cards in years but I found so.e beautiful chirstmas cards while thrifting so I ended up sending cards this year. I love getting christmas cards and I think everyone loves to be remembered. I love the material and punched tin. ❤
Yes I still send Christmas cards. I am a scrapbooker and I make cards out of the scraps. I send out about 20. Used to send more but several of the people on my list have passed away and postage is so high. I dont get many anymore.
Yes that is exactly what that was. You definitely need it for your baskets. Actually you might need to buy all those shelves you find when you come across them.
I still send Christmas cards. I mailed 130 this year. I love them, i love looking for them, addressing them and sending them. That's how I stay connected, since I'm not in any social media sites. I went to some estate sales and found vintage cards, they were so sweet. The graphics were so cute. Yes, I think it was a Longaberger iron shelf.
I loved that Rocking Chair at the beginning of the video Julie . I still send cards back home, although this year I can’t as there is a postal strike. ❤🦋
I sent out about 15 Christmas cards and I’ve only received a few. I have a metal wreath card holder but I didn’t even hang it up this year. I’m just standing the cards up on my bookshelf.
Hi Julie. Too bad you overlooked what I’m pretty sure is a Longaberger basket shelf. The material definitely looks country and fits in your decor perfectly. So does the cute punch out tin. I’m enjoying watching your videos. It’s helping to get my mind off things. My husband has Surgery on Wednesday. I’m truly dreading it but I’m trusting the good Lord all goes well. 🤗Marion
Wow, that’s a fancy thrift shop! I sent 60 cards and have received over 75 so far. I’ve been putting them in a basket as it was way too many for anything else. After the holidays I cut them and make into gift tags for next year. I have that exact same fabric that I got at a yard sale and making primitive prairie bonnets for my pegracks. Love the punched tin holder you got❤
Not since the price of postage went up twice in one year I’m not sending out cards anymore. That punch tin is a candle cover and mine has a shade too. Actually I have 2, one with a snowman and another with sunflowers punched in. I love all things primitive myself. Longeberger hangs on my basket rail Hunny made me so I had to go back and take a second look myself. I’m still not certain!!!:):):)
Hi Julie, love your Thriftmas videos. You always find the cutest treasures. Though I always see other things that I would have picked up... makes it hard not to become a hoarder. I love thrifting too! Merry Christmas to you and your Family!
I still send Christmas cards. I was addressing mine today but we are lucky if we get one or two sent to us. Wondering if I should stop with the expense of postage. I miss displaying Christmas cards.
Hi Julie ! I do send cards; always a quick family pic or my husband and me with grandkids, taken when we celebrate Thanksgiving. My husband has 9 siblings and I have 3. Lots of grown nieces and nephews! A dozen or so distant cousins, and former coworkers or friends we don’t see often. I’m not on social media, so it’s a welcome treat for me to connect with them at least during the Christmas season🎄I display cards we’ve received on the China cabinet glass doors in my kitchen. Oh I think that WAS a Longaberger shelf🥲 ..the fabric and tin were sweet. Primitives aren’t usually my thing, but think I am being slowly converted🤗 🎄⛄️💕
Hi! I do send cards out. I am old fashioned and believe in these traditions. I even put pennies in purses and wallets, etc. Nobody does this. I buy vintage fossil and coach. Never have I had a coin. Its supposed to be good luck
Wow! This GW resembles a department store( when you walk in!) . Yes , I will always send Christmas cards ( especially ones with the grandkids on them !!) however, I quit sending birthday cards and other misc . Occasions. I love your ideas for the tin container!!!!!! Now I wish I had one. The vintage-looking fabric is great -why not make pillows or napkins or even table liners…great on your “new “old table! Enjoyed this. You sure do put together great videos. I realize it’s WORK! I appreciate you and your family. ❤️❄️❄️❄️🎄🎄🎄 xx
Good evening Julie and family. I love the 2 vases, the plain one and the one with flowers 💐 on the front, $10.69. I don't send a Christmas card. I buy a Christmas card every year for our daughter. I only get a card from my Titi(Aunt) in New Jersey. I love your Thrift store video. Good night.
I’m a mail carrier and I’m delivering several cards and my customers are sending them out. When I got back to the office, the outgoing mail container was almost full of cards
I still send out a few cards. I only get cards from the people that I send them to. I have been looking for a card holder, like you passed up, to display vintage Christmas cards. I gasped when you left it.
Definitely a Longaberger rack.. very desirable and very nice... Love Longaberger wrought iron also.. very classy and versatile..
I make cards so I definitely send out about 25 cards at Christmas. I start making them in the summer so I don’t have to rush. I also send out birthday, Valentines, Halloween, Thanksgiving cards to family and dear friends. Loving this series.
