I just can’t believe Lego signed off on this. That gives me hope that it’s gonna be really good. It’s just a such a bizarre idea for an artist to make a documentary/narrative hybrid film about himself, and oh btw it’s done in photo realistic Lego cgi. Even more bizarrely, Pharrell possibly has another movie coming out about his life?? A live action musical starring Halle Bailey??
It actually looks so well done. Especially the colors and the way they use music to elevate the animation. I’m surprisingly excited to see what they do.
This movie looks great. A life story of Pharrell Williams in LEGO FORM! I grew up playing Legos as a kid, and I still play with legos as an adult today. I can’t wait to see this movie!
Think about this.... Tenacious D the Lego Movie! PG-13 Lego Movie of Jack and Kyle going on a Lego Movie after getting knocked out from some fans throwing "Water Bottles" at their heads and they get transported into a Lego World because before the show, Kyle was trying to build a Guitar out of Lego and Jack was playing with his Lego Set of Nirvanna until they broke each others sets by accident and basically have a falling out, but they got a show to do, so when they get knocked out and get transported into a Lego world, thye have to put their petty arguing behind to hopefully get themselves home whilst also making some rocking music in a Metal and Rock theme lego world
I’m getting ideas for this…. Could bring in Lego rock band …. Then bring in other artists…. Just ai the voices of icons we lost but remembered …. Could have like a battle off at the end versus the devil.
Kyle and Jack have a fight and ends with Jack fighting the devil by himself and that’s when u hear Kyle strumming his gutair and the ready play one / end game would ensue. Then u would get a group version of the actual greatest song in the world and ends with Jack saying dude where did u come up with that ! And Kyle would say I don’t know man , but we gotta make a tribute to it.
@@Somecupoficewaterno offense, but that’s just inconsiderate and offensive to use AI voices to voice Lego characters in a comedy movie. Honestly, I respect the hell out of this movie for attempting to pull off such a stupid yet creative idea. Even if this movie is bad, at least it will probably be unique.
It's also a key factor how they will tell the story and the medium they're in. If the execution fires across all cylinders, we might be getting our hands on a very special and surprising animated movie this year
I legitimately am going to watch this. I basically NEVER watch biopics, but this is fresh and unique! I love how LEGO animation can work so well as both a movie in it's own right, with it's own properties with The LEGO Movie -- and the MANY LEGO shows such as Ninjago, Chima, Friends, City, Bionicle, and even the newcomer, Dreamzz, among others -- but also work so flawlessly as an animation medium and style with LEGO Batman, the various LEGO remixes of popular franchises like Marvel and Jurassic Park (to varying degress of success), and now this. If it were "just another biopic" I would not care, as would many, but animation gives this movie a ton more creative and visual freedom live action cannot offer. Pair that with it also meaning this movie probably won't cost an ungodly amount like 300 million dollars or something, so it has a shot at turning a profit. In other words, the Barbie and Super Mario movies need to PAY RESPECTS to The LEGO Movie, they did this shit first. So yeah, I'm off to check out this trailer!
I can’t believe this is an actual thing. A Lego movie biopic is something I never thought would become a thing but here we are. It actually looks interesting.
Kinda sad the new owners of Lego movies didn’t take the chance to establish a cool unique and just as awesome movie franchise as the last one but if the original Lego movie has taught me anything it’s that everything is awesome so I will check this out probably will like it less than ninjago though
@@themoviecritic1092 I didn't actually watch the trailer. I just saw the thumbnail and plot synopsis from a third party channel and thought it was fake because of how silly it sounded

They did not (at ALL) sleep on the potential of the art style, they used it SO well and I didn’t even care/ know that much about Pharrell going into the movie. There were parts that got real genuine laughs outa me (and the rest of the people in my theater), there were some emotional points, and there were sequences full of just absolutely mind blowing visuals that were only possible BECAUSE of the art style they chose. In short, I’ve seen the movie (and I went not because of Pharrell but because it was a Lego movie), and I’d give it a solid like 7.38/10 for story and an AMAZING like 9.26/10 for visuals. Cannot recommend enough that y’all go see this movie, it truly exceeded my expectations and I think it needs the recognition it deserves.
I'm actually very excited for this because I know next to nothing about pop music or any of the celebrities involved in this movie, but I LOVE Lego. I feel like this movie was tailor made to reach out to people like me; presenting subjects and characters unfamiliar to me through a medium I intensely relate to.
I'm highly excited to see how it turns out. I've come to greatly appreciate and enjoy Pharrell Williams' work from his music performances and production ever since his great jump with Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" (2013), the music of Despicable Me, his phenomenal album "Girl" (2014) which was fantastic, along with the music production under his Neptunes signature.
