    I think learning italian is easier than english. Because, in italian pronunciation of words is easy to me. Because, in my mother language, we pronounce words the way they are spelled. Italian language is 90% thus. That is why I love this language 😅. I'm watching your videos from Uzbekistan. Thanks a million 😊

    If I understand well, would it be correct to say that Italian has no use for:
    1. Words that are spelled as: cha, cho, chu. No need to put the "h" to make the sound harder.
    2. Pronunciation that in other languages like Spanish sound like cha, cho, chu.

    Here's a question, what if a name has the soft C pronunciation, but is followed by some other letters (not E or I)
    For example if I want to write a name of a city or a person in Italian which is from another language.

    • @ItalianTeacherValentina
      @ItalianTeacherValentina  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a really good question, Rez! It will depend, especially with foreign names and words. Nowadays, we tend to pronounce foreign words quite similarly to the original (especially if it's English), so you may find exception to the rule. E.g. we pronounce "chat" as in English, so with a soft c sound instead of what Italian pronunciation rules would require (that spelling itself wouldn't exist in Italian)

    Thank you maam very beautifully explained. Just have one doubt
    In bacio the sound of "i"is not there. Is there any rule when "i" is followed by any other vowel it becomes silent.

    • @ItalianTeacherValentina
      @ItalianTeacherValentina  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, there's not another rule, "bacio" is an example of what I explain in the video.
      Many people think that the "i" in "c" is kind of built-in, because when we say the "c" in the alphabet we actually say an "i" sound with it, and that makes people (even Italian kids!) feel confused. But the "i" is NOT built-in in the C, the C is kind of neutral and then pronounced differently depending on what comes next.
      So when you say "bacio" you do have an "i" sound, which comes from actually saying the "i", not the "c".
      Hope this clarifies that point!

    I was wondering if you could do a video like this about the "H" pronunciation because it's very confusing

    • @ItalianTeacherValentina
      @ItalianTeacherValentina  ปีที่แล้ว

      The "H" is always completely silent in Italian. The only thing it does is that, when following C, G or SC, it makes those sounds hard, as explained in the video. ;)
