Nios quality started to convince the market place and the effect is broadening fast. From 2019-present, Nio cars have led on all fronts. I firmly believe Nio will be one of the definitive global leaders in time.
their technologies are completely different. why Western media always like to describe Chinese EVs as China's answer to Tesla? when report news about BYD, China's answer to Telsa. NIO, China's answer to Tesla. Geely, Zeekr, Li auto, China's answer to Tesla. I mean NIO use swap battery, Li auto are completely different from sedan. how they are the same? beside there's electric mode, you have to put every EVs as Telsa rivals? they are just different products, BYD even has hybrid, Tesla has hybrid? NIO swap battery, Tesla swap battery? Li auto produce big family SUV, Tesla product same? BYD produce U8 , Tesla produce rotating and floatable cars?

@@cameronsaunders9020 I don’t have any stock in NIO outside of driving one. I assume you’ve never actually driven one. Also, I love being about to swap. Tesla was the first but, to me, NIO is superior in quality and energy features. I hope you can open your mind to look at other brands outside of Tesla, to me those are outdated. Build Your Dreams, Ideal, and Zeeker are also better vehicles.

I always hoped that Nio can be mainstream as they are going into battery swap tech. One of the issues with EVs is that the battery degradates after sometime and it is difficult to imagine a 2nd hand EV has good value (because the range of an old battery is lower). As such battery swap makes more sense as the buyer has lesser risk of holding degraded batteries in their cars.
But... Battery swap is much more expensive to provide enough swapping station infrastructure and "ready" battery stockpiles. Not all company ae willing to invest such HUGE money.

Just FYI those extra batteries in storage at swap stations can also provide backup electricity to the grid. They have partners with public utilities companies in China.
Hi yeah its expensive but if the whole industry can work together, it is possible to have a separate company to manage the stations and batteries. The battery will become a subscription kind of system and the cost of the car is just the shell.
Degradation is already a non-issue with today's battery tech. It will only improve over the years.
Nio has the better cars. Let me tell you this. Tesla battery will go bad after 120,000 miles usually. NIO battery is swapped and your battery will be keep getting changed and never have to worry about cost of replacement battery. Tesla Battery cost $25000 and 7000 labor approximately. Nio Battery swap takes 3 minute. I wish Nio was in America.

Best premium EV car in the world with the best technology and service! In time their BAAS and battery as a service will be the world’s standard for EV. If you want long terms EV sustainability, you got to think NIO battery swapping technology.
Taiwan’s Gogoro pioneered the concept beginning in 2011. They dominate the E scooter market in Taiwan.
Battery swap is its own invention which deserves market recognition.
I believed Tesla started all that.

have you used it? This is not a cheap solution it cost CNY100-150 for 7 days. I think charging in China at home around CNY 0.5/kwh. If EV is the future charging infrastructure most people use is at home as most people use less than 20% of the time. I also think current batteries technology has a lifespan of another 10 years. Then new tech like solid state batteries will make NIO swap stations obsolete

Gogoro pioneered the concept of swappable battery contract & dominates the Taiwanese e-scooter market largely because of it.

My family has a NIO and I am enjoying the benefits of the car. But the feasibility of EV is highly depended on its corresponding infrastructure. China has invested much in EV infrastructure, but i am not sure which other countries have such commitments towards EV.

Nio are alot more desirable tbh. Telsa are abit of one trick pony, they haven't properly updated their models in years and only brought out the cyber truck, which is a monstrosity that only have very few that actually need it.

I bought my ES8 last year here in Shanghai, its wonderful, building 1 swapping station every week, more and more people are chosing NIO due to its faster swapping technology, and its not expensive at all

So a swappable battery like you would on an RF scanner at work, would it be possible to get a high performance swap to make you car a Hot Rod for the weekend?
Since when an EV became a hot rod? Does Tesla do that idea of yours?
You can swap a different capacity battery. So your car can go from 500km to 1000km range in 3 min swap. Performance isnt really on the battery though it’s on the motor idk.

You can hear some English words being spoken. I think he understands English but command may be limited. Using Chinese will help him better expressed his thoughts and avoid misunderstanding or miscommunication.

@@Ana-qn1zk cant wait to try it. I was overall very impressed with Xpeng G6 ans BYD seal. The Operating system and software was not as refined as Tesla but I was told especially xpeng is investing heavily on software and they are progressing rapidly.
My next car will either be a Model Y, Xpeng G6 or Nio Onvo if its compelling

Taiwan’s Gogoro has been swapping batteries in their scooters since 2011 & are now established throughout SE Asia. Presumably, this is where NIO got the idea.

William is an arrogant, stuck up non-engineer who does not even have an engineering degree. Unlike XPeng and BYD who at least have a decent amount of respect for Tesla, William seems to enjoy bad mouthing his counter parts just to make himself look good.
The problem is that even out of the 3 abovementioned Chinese car companies, he doesn't spend as much time in the factory as either of them, as all he is about is branding, marketing, and packaging. For a long time, they don't even own their own car factory (not even sure if they own one today and too lazy to google).
To add on, even a lot of the mainland Chinese don't like him.
