If it were me, if I was a character on Skyrim and I sided with the Imperials, I would tell the Thalmor to get the fuck out of Tamriel if they didn't like our religious beliefs. And if they refused, those motherfuckers would wish they would have never set foot on the land. Point being the civil war is bullshit and a waste of fucking time.

To be honest, I'm a hardcore Imperial, but I can agree that neither side is entirely correct in the way this conflict is being handled. Why couldn't there be a Dragonborn side? I sided with Imperial at this. Thalmor knew that the Civil War on Skyrim is weakening the Empire so they can fully take over Tamriel. Siding with Empire would boost Empire's power because of the Dragonborn who can command dragons can easily outpower hundreds of men. Siding with Stormcloaks are also good if you want Skyrim to be independent like Hammerfell where the Thalmor had a hard time capturing, same could go to Skyrim because of the Dragonborn.
And Thalmor would have a hard time invading Skyrim, due to only having few mountain passes wich are easily defendable and the Sea of Ghosts wich is hard to navigate due to the large amount of storms and ice bergs. And due to the fact that Skyrim is home to big and loud lizards and a man who knows how to scream in a foreign tongue

Theromoore10 Bethesda's bardic songs are rendered as short clips strung together, rather than a continuous song, in order to fit easily into the dialogue system (i.e. they're considered dialogue rather than music). The length of the pauses tends to change depending on the circumstances, or even depending on your system. Personally, when I play Skyrim, the pauses are rarely longer than a beat or two.
Khajit's the best. Having night eye,comes in handy in dark caves and stuff, helped me out finding levers,only the tail pointing out of your armour should be optional,don't have the game though,crashed on my xbox after installind DLC's ...
Everyone's talking about joining either the stormcloaks or the imperials...i joined both lol. I believe they both had very good points and I couldn't side with 1 extreme with another. I believe we both need a mix of both sides.
Ulfric may be an unwitting pawn of the Thalmor, but he's absolutely the kind of leader that the Nord traditions call for. Elisif hasn't done anything to prove her worth, nor does she feel the need to. She is a useless noble. Ulfric learned the Thu'um, fought in the Great War, he drove the Reachmen out of Markarth, and he defeated the High King in a legal duel according to the old ways (Torygg did accept the challenge). Ulfric is bound for Sovngarde regardless of the outcome of the Civil War.
He may be the fitting traditional king, but I believe he only used the situation for his own gain of power, included with his racism, as my main character being a dark elf, I never join his side. The empire is the only hope to keeping the snobby high elves out, for the imperials are a trained army. It doesn’t matter how much honor the nords carry, slapping swords and armor on random people without proper training can’t hold back the high elves
The real wolf If hammerfell can have independence then so can Skyrim, doesn’t matter if the leader loses faith. It’s the dawn of a new age for Tamriel, one without the empire

Lol how naive you are should you choose to side with the Stormcloaks simply because the Empire almost killed you at the start of the game. If you truly want to defend Skyrim from the Thalmor, then the Stormcloaks isn't a wise choice. To think that you can fight off the Thalmor by yourselves AND after having fought a civil war is delusional. It is not a cowardly move by the Empire to back away from a war that you definitely will not win. Rather, it's a strategy to stall, recuperate and live to fight another day, to fight a determining war at which the odds at winning are far better.

DJ Shine Actually. The thalmor didn't thrash the empire in the great war. They both wiped each other out and you can read about this in game. Perhaps brief history of the empire? I forgot the title but anyway the thalmor lost a majority of their army as well. And I believe skyrim could beat them. Think about the landscape of skyrim. The thalmor would have to send an army from thousands of miles away and if they tried to invade from the sea of ghosts they would be forced to carry on foot because of the ice. Then Skyrim could have mages and archers standing on the high ground from solitude and windterhold which is really high up If the thalmor tried to push in they would be forced into a bottle neck by the ice walls making it easy to defend and nearly every other structure in skyrim is a fortress or castle. If they try to invade through cyrodil the empire isn't going to allow the thalmor to have a providence that close to the capital so they will likely step in and end all hostilities with the stormcloaks. The Thalmor simply can't get to them. It should be easy to get an alliance together especially the redguards
***** If you believe that'll work then fine. Personally, that's not how I remembered the story. I'm pretty sure Skyrim chose to surrender because it was going one-sided. Also, I'm pretty sure all those war strategies and scenarios you've mentioned have already been exhausted by the Empire and analysed by the Thalmor. This is a war, and war is led by capable men who know what/who to deal with and figure out how to deal with it. Remember, the Thalmor had already invaded the lands. That means they have already breached their defences. I do believe Skyrim can eventually beat them, but I do NOT believe the Stormcloaks are the way to go. There's just too many problems with them and with Ulfric. I can't see them being able to lead Skyrim to a brighter future. That's just my opinion but I liked the game so I spent a lot of time indulging myself in the lore so I am quite convinced with siding with the Empire.
Point 1: The Thalmor can't actually hold Skyrim without their Imperial allies; trying to funnel Aldmeri forces into Skyrim will force them to ignore their other colonial obligations. Point 2: The Thalmor banned the worship of Talos because _they are attempting to un-Divine him_, as a prelude to the extermination of the human nations, even if it means the destruction of the entire world (the lore is a bit unclear on what would happen should they succeed in un-Divining him). By breaking their hold on Skyrim, even temporarily, the rest of the world has a fighting chance to beat them back. Point 3: A fully-trained, fully-equipped Dovahkiin could easily take on the entire Embassy solo (and that's _not_ hyperbole). Imagine if said Dovahkiin were to raise an army of elite warriors (hello, unlimited followers mod!) in order to drive the Thalmor from Skyrim, and eventually Cyrodiil, permanently. Point 4: The Thalmor are attempting to use Ulfric as an unwitting pawn, causing a civil war that weakens the Empire in the long run. Him actually _winning_, though, would throw a wrench in the works. Mostly I just side with the Empire because the Stormcloaks are dicks.

That's why in the very beginning of the game at White Run I completed a quest "In My Time of Need" where I was sent to kill Kematu. I then had the option to tell Kematu of Saadia's actions, which I gladly took (coz let's face it the huge number of OP'd NPCs there were alarming and I died every time I killed him). I then proceeded to lure Saadia to the stables to be captured. Received my bounty from Kematu, where upon I killed him and used my race's ability to "calm" Saadia, enabling me to pick up a reward for killing the guy. The reason for that was that as soon as I killed Kematu, for some reason she became aggressive towards me from then on. So once I took her reward, ran away from her... I came across her at the inn again and had to kill her in secret because she just would not stop lol. I then naturally took up thief and assassin guilds. xD
well i was using sexlab and Saadia was/is my lover, so i choosed to kill kematu in his cave whit my friend ughtred the unbroken. it wasnt in the start tho, i was already thieves guild master and nightingalle by then :) Edit: a mistake ive spoted in a word..

Everyone's talking about joining either the stormcloaks or the imperials...i joined both lol. I believe they both had very good points and I couldn't side with 1 extreme with another. I believe we both need a mix of both sides.

Ulfric may be an unwitting pawn of the Thalmor, but he's absolutely the kind of leader that the Nord traditions call for. Elisif hasn't done anything to prove her worth, nor does she feel the need to. She is a useless noble. Ulfric learned the Thu'um, fought in the Great War, he drove the Reachmen out of Markarth, and he defeated the High King in a legal duel according to the old ways (Torygg did accept the challenge). Ulfric is bound for Sovngarde regardless of the outcome of the Civil War.

He may be the fitting traditional king, but I believe he only used the situation for his own gain of power, included with his racism, as my main character being a dark elf, I never join his side. The empire is the only hope to keeping the snobby high elves out, for the imperials are a trained army. It doesn’t matter how much honor the nords carry, slapping swords and armor on random people without proper training can’t hold back the high elves

I think the best way to give a end to this war is at the reunion at the high hrothgard, both stormcloaks and imperial are wrong, the men kind can't be dominated by the elfs, but we must accept all races.

Lol how naive you are should you choose to side with the Stormcloaks simply because the Empire almost killed you at the start of the game. If you truly want to defend Skyrim from the Thalmor, then the Stormcloaks isn't a wise choice. To think that you can fight off the Thalmor by yourselves AND after having fought a civil war is delusional. It is not a cowardly move by the Empire to back away from a war that you definitely will not win. Rather, it's a strategy to stall, recuperate and live to fight another day, to fight a determining war at which the odds at winning are far better.
+DJ Shine The Empire has no intention of fighting the dominion. They simply ride their dicks while the stormcloaks actually have the balls to fight for freedom. The stormclaoks wouldn't be alone either. The redguards also managed to kick thalmor ass all by themselves and there is a strong potential for an alliance with highrock. The thalmor will not be able to invade skyrim.No the empire are simply cowards who have been sitting on their keesters for over 30 years letting the thalmor do what ever they want.

The Redguards beat the Thalmor. So what? That just proves they were strong enough to defend themselves unlike Skyrim. You're right that the Empire has been simply sucking to the Dominion ever since, but thats because they dont have a choice. You mentioned an alliance with Highrock. Honestly, what's in it for Highrock to help? Even if they did help, they'd most probably make their own demands from the Empire as well. Then it wouldn't make a difference because now the Empire owes them one; Skyrim still isn't truly freed.
DJ Shine Actually. The thalmor didn't thrash the empire in the great war. They both wiped each other out and you can read about this in game. Perhaps brief history of the empire? I forgot the title but anyway the thalmor lost a majority of their army as well.
And I believe skyrim could beat them. Think about the landscape of skyrim. The thalmor would have to send an army from thousands of miles away and if they tried to invade from the sea of ghosts they would be forced to carry on foot because of the ice. Then Skyrim could have mages and archers standing on the high ground from solitude and windterhold which is really high up
If the thalmor tried to push in they would be forced into a bottle neck by the ice walls making it easy to defend and nearly every other structure in skyrim is a fortress or castle.
If they try to invade through cyrodil the empire isn't going to allow the thalmor to have a providence that close to the capital so they will likely step in and end all hostilities with the stormcloaks. The Thalmor simply can't get to them.
It should be easy to get an alliance together especially the redguards

If you believe that'll work then fine. Personally, that's not how I remembered the story. I'm pretty sure Skyrim chose to surrender because it was going one-sided. Also, I'm pretty sure all those war strategies and scenarios you've mentioned have already been exhausted by the Empire and analysed by the Thalmor. This is a war, and war is led by capable men who know what/who to deal with and figure out how to deal with it.
Remember, the Thalmor had already invaded the lands. That means they have already breached their defences. I do believe Skyrim can eventually beat them, but I do NOT believe the Stormcloaks are the way to go. There's just too many problems with them and with Ulfric. I can't see them being able to lead Skyrim to a brighter future.
That's just my opinion but I liked the game so I spent a lot of time indulging myself in the lore so I am quite convinced with siding with the Empire.
Point 1: The Thalmor can't actually hold Skyrim without their Imperial allies; trying to funnel Aldmeri forces into Skyrim will force them to ignore their other colonial obligations.
Point 2: The Thalmor banned the worship of Talos because _they are attempting to un-Divine him_, as a prelude to the extermination of the human nations, even if it means the destruction of the entire world (the lore is a bit unclear on what would happen should they succeed in un-Divining him). By breaking their hold on Skyrim, even temporarily, the rest of the world has a fighting chance to beat them back.
Point 3: A fully-trained, fully-equipped Dovahkiin could easily take on the entire Embassy solo (and that's _not_ hyperbole). Imagine if said Dovahkiin were to raise an army of elite warriors (hello, unlimited followers mod!) in order to drive the Thalmor from Skyrim, and eventually Cyrodiil, permanently.
Point 4: The Thalmor are attempting to use Ulfric as an unwitting pawn, causing a civil war that weakens the Empire in the long run. Him actually _winning_, though, would throw a wrench in the works.
Mostly I just side with the Empire because the Stormcloaks are dicks.

That's why in the very beginning of the game at White Run I completed a quest "In My Time of Need" where I was sent to kill Kematu. I then had the option to tell Kematu of Saadia's actions, which I gladly took (coz let's face it the huge number of OP'd NPCs there were alarming and I died every time I killed him).
I then proceeded to lure Saadia to the stables to be captured. Received my bounty from Kematu, where upon I killed him and used my race's ability to "calm" Saadia, enabling me to pick up a reward for killing the guy. The reason for that was that as soon as I killed Kematu, for some reason she became aggressive towards me from then on. So once I took her reward, ran away from her... I came across her at the inn again and had to kill her in secret because she just would not stop lol.
I then naturally took up thief and assassin guilds. xD

well i was using sexlab and Saadia was/is my lover, so i choosed to kill kematu in his cave whit my friend ughtred the unbroken. it wasnt in the start tho, i was already thieves guild master and nightingalle by then :)
