    Just found your channel and glad I did. Good idea. I have lines in my boat now that needs untangling. Thanks

    Went out the past two weekends doing limb lines. Caught a good number, channels and bullheads. Couple of my swivels broke, they were rated at 75 lbs so something big took hold of 'em. Good way of filling a cooler with fish. On the flipside, though, it didn't really feel all that sportsmanly. I think I'll chalk it up as a survivalist skill and go back to rod/reel action.

    Appreciate the info on the heavy swivels ! Had a 45 pounder stretch out and almost break what I thought was a good swivel this last weekend he did a number on my hook too (a team catfish 8/0 double action). Keep up the good videos!

    Love it. Thanks for posting this. One thing I wondered that you did not cover is how you tie your line to the tree. I thought I see you simply pulling a lead and it unties easily. I have my way of doing that but wondered how you do yours.

      Thank you for watching. I plan on doing a video on where I hang, how I tie them, and how deep I fish them separately. Hopefully I can have that in the next few days. I appreciate the input and the feedback.

    I like your way there bud. I'm 60 and I make the same rig you do but the rolling up part is a very good time saving way. Even old we can learn something new. Enjoyed it and a new sub. I'm in Brunswick Georgia. From Florida an haven't went for or ate a flathead yet. But hoping to. Good luck

    I came here to get new ideas on making my drop lines. I’m going with this! But I like to run two hooks. Usually weight on bottom. First hook 16” from weight and so forth

    I use loop leaders but feed the eye from the inside of hook, IMO it puts the full hook in the jaw. I like the way you wrap n store your lines, I'll be doing mine that way from now on, thank you for sharing!

      @@RiverSwamperOutdoors what about areas you look for to set your lines? I have a few rivers I fish in my area that look to be similar to where you’re fishing and one bigger one that would be good to set out some bank poles. I’ve seen some monster flatheads come out of it in hoop nets but it would be a blast to set out some bank poles

    That is a smart way to store those lines, I've been using pool noodles, but I think I just seen a better way, thank you for the info

    How far apart are the lines in The river ?

    • @RiverSwamperOutdoors
      @RiverSwamperOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run my lines in sections. I may run 10 in one area go up river and run another 10 then go up and run another 5 or 10 or whatever is available. But as far as the lines in the same section, it varies depending on the spots. Some can be 25-50 feet apart or more and others only 6-10ft apart. One Night I caught two 35-40lb catfish at the same time only 10 ft apart if that.

    For limb lines don’t waste money on weights I just use heavy bolts….
